Abstract

This study aims to analyze communication in virtual communities that are reviewed from a business, health and career-linkedIn perspective. This research uses the literature review method through literature search both books and international and national journals. The results showed that the virtual community was established and developed through Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) on various platforms. Virtual communities develop because individuals have the same goal. They bind themselves to join and exchange ideas, information in a virtual community because there are common motives and goals to be achieved. There are several similarities and differences that bind individuals to join virtual communities from a business, health and career-linked perspective. Trust and security are the main keys of individuals joined in virtual communication in various fields. In addition, in the business perspective, two reasons individuals join online trade are the use of a conducive community and virtual social environment. While in the context of health, the reason the community joins is the ease of accessing health information, trust and security of user data. Finally, in the context of career-linked development, individuals tie themselves into the community because this platform has advantages in forming social network capital, knowledge capital to form friendships. Virtual communities on various platforms (business, health and careers) continue to grow and are increasingly being asked by users. Keywords: community; social media; users; virtual

Abstract

This study discusses Nadia's Asma da'wah messages in the Bidadari Untuk Dewa novel and how the delivery of da'wah messages in the story. This research is a study that uses a qualitative approach and discourse analysis of the Van Dijk model. The source of this research is in the form of library literature. The results of this study state that the preaching message contained in this novel covers aspects of aqeedah, sharia, and morality. Aspects of aqeedah include tawakkal, piety and istiqomah values. Sharia aspects include sholat, mu'amalah, and prayer. Then the moral aspects include patience, sincerity, grateful gratitude, humility and honesty. From the thematic side, it was found that the title of Bidadari untuk Dewa was taken from a true story. This story illustrates the story of the journey of a young man who decides to do business and get married at a relatively young age and has to face various life problems ranging from financial, debt, business studies, female exams, friendship, and even almost losing his life at the age of 5 years. In the storyline, this novel is the longest novel Asma Nadia that she has written during her career in the world of writing. That is all due to the "complexity" of the life journey of a young businessman who is adopted. Keywords: da'wah messages; discourse analysis; novels

Abstract

The success of Mulan Jameela to become members of the Indonesian Parliement 2019-2024 drew the attention of online media. However. Some online media deliberately package this event in the form of politainment news. This research aims to find out the news framing of Mulan politainment news when officially appointed as a member of the Indonesian Parliament 2019-2024. The research method used is the Framing Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. Pan Kosicki's framing device is divided into four large structures : syntactic structure, script structure, thematic structure, and rhetorical structure. The object of the research was the news texts Mulan as members of the Indonesian Parliament in Tribunnews.com and Detik.com in the October 2019 period. The results showed that the cognitive tools used by Tribunnews.com and Detik.com in coding information and interpreting events about Mulan as members of the Indonesian Parliament are constructed differently. Okezone.com framing tends to benefit Mulan. While framing Tribunnews.com, Detik.com, Liputan6.com, dan Kompas.com tend to corner Mulan. Where the most highlighted side is the clothing choices used by Mulan, the legal cases faced and the endorsement that received the KPK response. While Mulan success in holding seats in the Indonesian Parliament 2019-2024 period is not so highlighted. Keywords: framing; news; online media; politainment

Abstract

Surabaya is the second largest city after Jakarta, as the second largest city, Surabaya is a densely populated area, can be found various kinds of informal economic activities that have existed since colonial times, ranging from street vendors to prostitution. Dolly is an exclusive area located in Surabaya. This region is tehe largest prostitution in Indonesia, even beating in Southeast Asia. Research on the Permata In the Mud novel by Satria Nova and Nur Huda focuses on the representation of the meaning of violence on prostitutes, to lead us to a thought that criticizes every form of violence against women. This research method is a qualitative analysis, using Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis, which looks at markers and markers. The data used in the form of texts that describe violence against prostitutes in the novel Permata Dalam Lumpur, which is read repeatedly. The results found several meanings of violence on prostitutes obtained from several chapters. The results showed that the Permata novel in the mud contained the meaning of violence on prostitutes. Abstract

Various supporting features of interpersonal communication and interaction such as chatrooms, walls, messanger, etc. make Facebook as one of the models of interpersonal mediated communication (interpersonal mediated communication). The purpose of this study is to describe the use of Facebook as a facility that facilitates friendship and personal relationships. The subject of this research is Facebook active users who utilize various Facebook features to meet new people. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results showed that various Facebook features were able to facilitate its users in communicating both socially just friends to personal communication that led to institutional (marriage). Abstract

Technological developments of this era affected the da’wa model as never beforerapidly and dynamic. One of the technological trends of this millenium is digital media because it is faster and easer to acces information. Da’wa is to call, invite, and encourage someone to do a good thing. Da’wa should utilities any available communication instrument. If not, then da’wa would be falling behind and slowing down so that is would affect morals and morals in the millennials. This article discussing digital media whether it can be the appeal of millenials in preaching. By approach to literature studies that later date are elaborately analyzed, the data could explain that a climb through digital as by using social media asa trendy and fahionable medium of communication can become an attraction for millenials to preach. This is due to the large number of people who use social media as mesia in efforts to deliver the message of the da’wa. Keywords: da’wa media; digital da’wa; millenials.

Abstract

This study aimed to see the relationship between the frequency of positive self-talk and the level of communication apprehension experienced by colege students.This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The researchsample consisted of 75 students of the BKI IAIN Parepare Study Program, consisting of15 male and 70 female. The data collection technique by providing a scale in the formof the Self-talk Scale from Brinhaupt, Hein, and Kramer (2009) for measuring thefrequency of positive self-talk and the Personal Report of Communicationapprehension (PRCA) scale from McCroskey (1994) for measure communicationapprehension. The product moment analysis test is used to test the hypothesis byanalyzing the relationship between the frequency of doing positive self-talk and thelevel of communication apprehension. The results showed that there was a relationshipbetween the frequency of doing positive self-talk with the level of communicationapprehension among students with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and acorrelation coefficient value of -0.452. The more often students do positive self-talk, thelower level of communication apprehension they feel. The effective contribution givenby the positive self-talk variable to the communication apprehension variable was45.2%. The implication of this study shows that positive self-talk techniques can beused in improving students' personal competence in communication and can be appliedto various communication situations, including the guidance and counseling process.

Abstract

This paper describes how to use the WhatsApp group as a communication medium for the Riswo Village Druju Sumbermanjing Wetan Malang. It is a descriptive qualitative research using the approach of organizational communication. This study uses face negotiation theory. This theory uses the concept of facework as a verbal and nonverbal strategy that is used to maintain, maintain or enhance social self-image or attack, maintain the social image of others. The results of the study explain that the management of the Druju Village Riswo uses solidarity facework and sensitivity facework in communicating through the WhatsApp application in running the organization's wheels. Organizational communication carried out by Riswo Village management of Druju Sumbermanjing Wetan Malang in accordance with organizational communication functions including, informative, regulative, persuasive and integrative functions. The target audience of the Drwo Village Riswo administrators in this study were all the Drwo Village Riswo administrators who had been recruited and became part of the Riswomprogram Riswomilik Pesuju management group of Druju Village. There are three uses of the WhatsApp group as an organizational communication medium. First, it is more efficient in terms of time, space and resources. Second, it facilitates participation, understanding and reception of messages, and third, satisfaction in the use of WhatsApp groups.

Abstract

Da'wah in the digital era and utilizing the development of information and communication technology, adding a new portion to broadcast Islam to the public. The existence of technology gave birth to the internet and new media in disseminating information. Hanan Attaki is one of the clerics today who is close to millennial audiences who cannot get far from social media in their daily lives. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the new method used by Hanan Attaki in broadcasting Islamic broadcasting in the era of media convergence. The method in this study uses a mix method, which is a combination of quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires with Google Form and qualitative research methods by analyzing content on the Instagram account @hanan_attaki. The results obtained in this study Hanan Attaki is a preacher / cleric who is famous among young people, his style of preaching that now makes Hanan Attaki has a lot of followers on social media Instagram. His Instagram account is also intense in uploading content about Da'wah.

Abstract

The government, in dealing with the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemi, has set new policies, such as isolation, social and physical distancing, and large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that keep people staying, working, worshiping, and studying at home. This study aimed to analyze learning at home in a family environment during the pandemi. The method used was ex-post facto. The causes of the naturally occurring variables were reviewed. The population in this study was all students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI) of STAI DDI of Makassar City, as many as 225 students, from which 26 (from semester VI) were taken as the sample using a simple random sampling technique. The results of this research with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis showed that the normality test of the learning-at-home activities showed a value of 1.025 and that of the family environment showed a value of 2.131 (sig>α, normal distribution), the homogeneity test results showed a value of 1.412 (sig>α, homogeneous), the linearity test results showed a value of 0.986 (sig>α, linear), and the activeness and the results of the hypothesis test with the correlation test showed a sig value of 0.023, with the criteria of sig (0.023) of <α (0.05). Finally, this study concluded that there are learning at home in the family environment amid the COVID-19 pandemi.
