Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of teachers in fostering the independence of children aged 5-6 years in Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of this study is to examine teachers' roles in fostering independence among children aged 5-6 years. Children's independence is an important aspect of development closely related to problem-solving skills and the formation of a responsible, confident character. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The findings of this study show that teachers serve as facilitators, role models, encouragers, and consistent rule-makers to instill independent habits in children. The steps taken include providing real examples, providing verbal encouragement, positive appreciation, and providing opportunities for children to complete tasks independently. Simple activities such as eating, putting on shoes, buttoning clothes, and tidying up toys are practical for developing a sense of responsibility and problem-solving skills. This study emphasizes the importance of consistency in habituation, a supportive environment, and cooperation between teachers and parents to increase children's independence from an early age.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate and assessing prevalence The Defensive Pessimism for University Students. The sample comprised N=600 university students with a mean of M=74.29 and SD=16.67. The sample included (300) females and (300) males. The stratified random sampling was selected using simple random method. A defensive pessimism scale was constructed of 20 items in its final version after verifying the psychometric its properties as exploratory factor analysis, discriminative power of items, and reliability using Cronbach's alpha = 0.89 The paragraphs of the scale remained unchanged without any paragraphs being deleted. the hypothetical mean against which the sample mean was compared was (60), The results showed, using a one-sample t-test t(600)= 20.998, p = 0.000, that university students have statistically significant defensive pessimism.

Abstract

Despite the growing discourse on digital transformation in education, there is a scarcity of empirical research specifically examining the synergy between technology integration and resource management within Indonesian public senior high schools. Addressing this gap, this study aims to explore the integration of technology and resource management at SMAN 1 Panyipatan, focusing on the utilization of Management Information Systems (MIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and human resource management strategies. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved teachers, administrative staff, and the school principal as informants through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that while technology integration has improved administrative efficiency, data transparency, and student engagement, challenges such as uneven digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and the need for ongoing technical support remain. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that technology implementation, underpinned by effective resource management, significantly strengthens teacher professionalism and school operational effectiveness. These insights provide critical implications for school management policy and digital transformation strategies in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This study examines school culture transformation as a foundation for sustainable teacher professional development by analyzing how collaborative leadership shapes collaborative cultural practices in Indonesian elementary schools. Using a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design, data were collected from 298 teachers across 51 public schools in Purwakarta District and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The findings show that collaborative leadership significantly predicts the development of a collaborative school culture, which subsequently enhances teacher professional growth and performance. The model explained about 30% of the variance in collaborative culture and 38% in teacher performance, with cultural transformation serving as a meaningful mediator between leadership and teacher outcomes. The study revealed that improvement occurred through cultivating mutual trust and a sense of safety, strengthening a common purpose and confidence in working together, and embedding routines that encourage reflective practice and collaboration among peers. The study concludes that collaborative leadership functions as a strategic driver for strengthening teacher development and advancing school culture transformation in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of collegial supervision and school organizational culture on elementary school teacher performance in Indonesia, grounded in the growing recognition of collaborative professional development. Using a quantitative survey of 300 teachers from 51 public schools in Purwakarta Regency, data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling. The measurement instruments showed strong validity and reliability. The results indicate that collegial supervision is implemented at a good level and has a significant effect on teacher performance, while school organizational culture also contributes significantly, though to a lesser extent. Together, both variables explain 8.7 percent of the variance in teacher performance and demonstrate predictive relevance. The study concludes that collegial supervision plays a meaningful role in enhancing teacher performance when supported by a positive and well-established organizational culture, offering important implications for strengthening teacher development practices in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

The rapid digital revolution driven by technological progress has significantly transformed various aspects of daily life, particularly in document authentication and validation. This paper examines the transition from conventional physical stamps to digital stamps (e-stamps) in Indonesia, an innovation developed to modernize administrative processes. Using a qualitative approach within a constructivist framework, the study explores public adaptation to e-stamps by analyzing adoption patterns, digital literacy challenges, and societal perceptions of security, convenience, and effectiveness. Guided by Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation Theory, the research evaluates the strengths and limitations of this transition through five attributes of innovation: relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Data were collected through literature review, interviews with institutional representatives, and focus group discussions involving participants of diverse ages, professions, and digital literacy levels. The findings indicate that although e-stamps offer notable advantages—such as increased efficiency, security, and accessibility—their adoption is hindered by technical difficulties, user resistance, and limited opportunities for practice. Younger and more technologically proficient groups adapt more readily, whereas older or less digitally skilled individuals face significant barriers. The study underscores the need for comprehensive public education, robust technical support, and targeted outreach programs to strengthen adoption. The insights generated provide valuable guidance for policymakers and implementing agencies in enhancing the rollout and equitable access to e-stamps, thereby supporting Indonesia’s broader digital transformation in public administration.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the use of the SIBI non-textbook, Luna's Red Seeds, in teaching English reading for first-grade students at SDN Suruh 02, Semarang Regency, (2) identify obstacles that arise during its use, and (3) explore teacher strategies in overcoming these obstacles. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, an interactive model of data analysis that has 3 components: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources and techniques, including cross-checking of data from observations, teacher interviews, and learning documents. The results show that the SIBI non-textbook supports student engagement and understanding of color vocabulary through a multimodal learning experience that combines visuals, narratives, and direct interaction. Obstacles that emerged included difficulty matching printed and digital book pages, limited color variations, phonological challenges, and technical problems, which teachers successfully overcome through adaptive strategies, additional media, and learning scaffolding. Overall, Luna's Red Seeds has proven to be a relevant learning medium and supports early English literacy, especially in classrooms with limited resources, as well as providing opportunities for the development of digital learning that can be applied in various contexts and is easily accessible.
