Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of philosophical values in religious character education through the habitual recitation of Istighotsah and the Qur’an at MTs NU Raudlatul Muallimin. The research focuses on how values such as self-awareness, moral development, and spiritual strengthening are internalized through routine religious practices within the school environment. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with teachers, and documentation of daily religious activities. The findings reveal that the practice of reciting Istighotsah and the Qur’an not only reinforces students’ spiritual dimensions but also instills philosophical values such as patience, submission to God, and moral responsibility. These activities serve as effective mediums for cultivating students’ ethical awareness in daily life. The study concludes that integrating religious practices with a philosophical approach can foster students’ religious character in a reflective and sustainable manner, and makes a significant contribution to strengthening character education values in madrasah settings.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology necessitates the transformation of Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam, PAI) to cultivate students who not only understand Islamic values but also possess wise and responsible digital competencies. This study aims to describe an instructional innovation in PAI through the integration of digital citizenship values within an adab (Islamic ethics) mentoring program. A literature review method was employed to analyze relevant sources on PAI instructional innovation, the concept of digital citizenship, and adab mentoring practices. The findings indicate that incorporating the nine elements of digital citizenship, namely digital access, digital commerce, digital communication, digital literacy, digital etiquette, digital law, digital rights and responsibilities, digital health and wellness, and digital security into the adab mentoring program enhances both students’ understanding of Islamic values and their religious digital literacy. This innovation has demonstrated a positive impact on shaping students’ character to be courteous, ethical, and responsible in digital environments. The findings underscore the urgency of adaptive PAI instruction in the digital age to prepare a generation of Muslims with integrity, both in physical and virtual spaces.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between proactive personality and career adaptability among final-year university students. Low career adaptability can hinder the ability to adjust during the transition from college to the workforce, potentially increasing the open unemployment rate among university graduates. Proactive personality, as a trait that encourages individuals to take initiative and make changes in their lives, is presumed to play a role in shaping career adaptability. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study population consisted of active undergraduate students from the 2018–2021 cohorts, with a sample of 441 students selected through proportionate random sampling. Data were collected using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale and the Proactive Personality Scale–Short Version, and analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation test. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.744 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant positive relationship between proactive personality and career adaptability. The higher the proactive personality of final-year students, the higher their career adaptability. Overall, the sample demonstrated high levels in both variables. These findings confirm that the strong link between proactive personality and career adaptability reflects a high level of readiness for the transition from college to the workforce and can serve as a reference for designing career development programs at universities.

Abstract

The Agrotourism site of the Balai Benih Induk (BBI) Lubuk Minturun, located in Koto Tangah District, Padang City, holds considerable potential that has yet to be optimally managed to support sustainable tourism development. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the BBI Lubuk Minturun agrotourism site and to formulate strategies for its sustainable development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing data triangulation techniques through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and through the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) framework. The findings indicate several priority strategies, including the implementation of entrance fees, installation of directional signage, agricultural training programs, digital promotion through social media and website development, optimization of fishpond and cafeteria functions through management training, development of culinary tourism and souvenir products, and provision of supporting services such as Wi-Fi, waste bins, and waste management training. The study concludes that development strategies grounded in local potential and active community participation are essential to realizing BBI Lubuk Minturun as a leading, competitive, and sustainable agrotourism destination.

Abstract

The internship administration process in many institutions, including PT Carano Integrasi Teknologi Padang, is still conducted manually and relies on physical documents, making it susceptible to inefficiencies, data loss, and errors in participant placement. This study aims to design and develop a web-based internship management portal to digitalize the entire internship process, from registration to participant evaluation. The research employs a software engineering method using a case study approach, implemented with the PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework. The developed portal includes features such as account registration, internship application verification, task management, report uploads, participant performance assessment, and automatic certificate issuance. The system is also equipped with an AI-powered chatbot for real-time information services. Technical evaluation was conducted to assess performance in terms of access speed and efficiency. The results demonstrate that the system effectively addresses various administrative issues, improves time efficiency, reduces the risk of document loss, and ensures appropriate participant placement based on competency through centralized capacity monitoring. Performance testing using GTmetrix indicates that the portal meets and even exceeds Google’s Core Web Vitals standards, with a Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) of 1.1 seconds, Total Blocking Time (TBT) of 0 ms, and a Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) of 0, reflecting high loading speed, optimal responsiveness, and stable user interface layout.

Abstract

Character education from an early age through religious instruction plays a strategic role in shaping students’ personalities, particularly at the elementary level, such as in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study aims to describe and analyze the function of the Aqidah Akhlak subject as an effective means of instilling character values in students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Bolon. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Aqidah Akhlak subject significantly contributes to students’ character formation, particularly in the areas of honesty, responsibility, discipline, and mutual respect. This effectiveness is reinforced by the use of contextual teaching methods, teacher role modeling, and the integration of character values into each lesson. In conclusion, Aqidah Akhlak serves as a vital instrument for the continuous development of student character within the madrasah educational environment.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of the Multiple Intelligences theory developed by Howard Gardner with the concept of Islamic Educational Psychology. Gardner’s theory emphasizes that human intelligence is multifaceted, encompassing linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, and existential/spiritual dimensions. In Islamic thought, intelligence is viewed as fitrah, an innate potential bestowed by Allah, which must be developed in a balanced manner to achieve the goal of Islamic education: the formation of insan kamil (a complete and virtuous human being). This study aims to analyze the correlation between the dimensions of intelligence in Gardner’s theory and the concept of intelligence as conveyed in the Qur’an and Hadith, and to formulate instructional strategies aligned with Islamic values. A qualitative content analysis method was employed, drawing from both primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal a strong alignment between the concept of multiple intelligences and the principles of Islamic education, underscoring the importance of a holistic instructional approach that accommodates the diverse potentials of learners. The study also presents practical examples of learning activities to support integrative implementation in the classroom. In conclusion, integrating the Multiple Intelligences theory with Islamic Educational Psychology can enhance the effectiveness of learning processes that are not only cognitive but also spiritual and moral in nature.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of Islamic Educational Psychology based on the values and principles contained in the Qur’an, and to analyze strategies for its application in the learning process. The background of this research lies in the importance of a holistic educational approach that views humans as both spiritual and social beings. The method used is library research, involving the review of primary and secondary sources such as tafsir texts, academic books, journals, and educational documents. The findings show that Islamic Educational Psychology is founded on Qur’anic principles, including fitrah, tawhid, role modeling, the integration of knowledge, gradual learning, character development, as well as reflection and motivation. The Qur’an also contributes to students’ psychological well-being by reinforcing Islamic identity, fostering emotional intelligence, enhancing learning motivation, and shaping noble character. Implementation strategies include the integration of values into the curriculum, the creation of an Islamic learning environment, teacher role modeling, family and community involvement, and continuous learning evaluation. The study concludes that Qur’an-based education can produce students who excel not only academically, but also spiritually and emotionally.

Abstract

Muntingia calabura L. is a neotropical plant widely recognized in traditional medicine due to its bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, and phenolics, which exhibit various biological activities such as antioxidant, anticancer, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Maceration Vortex Technique and conventional maceration in extracting flavonoid compounds and total flavonoid content from M. calabura leaves. Two extraction methods were employed: the Maceration Vortex Technique, which involves soaking with shaker agitation for 2 hours followed by vortexing for 5 minutes and then standing for 72 hours; and conventional maceration, which involves soaking at room temperature for 72 hours without agitation. The results indicate that extracts obtained using the Maceration Vortex Technique contain higher total flavonoid levels compared to those produced through conventional maceration. These findings suggest that the inclusion of agitation during the extraction process enhances the efficiency of flavonoid compound recovery from M. calabura leaves.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the choreography of Tari Piriang Pijak di Ateh Galeh, a traditional dance developed in Nagari Unggan, Sumpur Kudus District, Sijunjung Regency. The research is grounded in the importance of preserving and documenting traditional dance forms as part of local cultural heritage with distinct aesthetic and philosophical values. A qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach was employed, where the researcher served as the primary instrument, supported by writing tools and a camera. Data collection techniques included literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis conducted through the stages of data collection, reduction, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the choreography of Tari Piriang Pijak di Ateh Galeh comprises two main aspects: process and form. The choreographic process includes theme selection, exploration, improvisation, and composition. The dance form features nine movement variations, a zigzag floor pattern, spatial designs including curved, high, low, and flat levels, and synchronized group composition involving three dancers. The properties used include plates, candlenuts, glasses, and long cloths, accompanied by traditional musical instruments such as Talempong, Gendang, and Gong. The makeup emphasizes beauty, and the costumes are modified from traditional baju kurung, songket cloth, and supporting accessories. The accompanying music consists of both external and internal elements that enhance the overall performance atmosphere.
