Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the level of flood vulnerability and the affected areas in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province; and (2) analyze both the current and necessary flood disaster mitigation efforts in the region. A quantitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing a Change Detection approach to identify flood-inundated areas, and Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) as a decision-support tool for mitigation planning. The results indicate that flood vulnerability is primarily influenced by low slope gradients (0–8%), which facilitate rainwater accumulation, and high annual rainfall (>3000 mm), which accelerates surface runoff. The extent of affected areas includes 2,792.19 hectares for biennial floods, 10,995.18 hectares for five-year floods, and 67,825.93 hectares for floods occurring every ten to twenty years. Biennial floods impact 248 houses in villages such as Sekodi, Kelemantan, and Teluk Pambang. Five-year floods affect 681 houses in villages including Ketam Putih, Batu Panjang, and Muara Basung. Meanwhile, ten- to twenty-year floods affect 3,473 houses in areas like Sungai Alam, Pematang Duku, and Petani. ISM analysis reveals that the top-priority mitigation strategy lies at level 5, specifically element A6, which concerns the disaster planning conducted by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). These findings underscore the urgency of structured and adaptive disaster planning to minimize flood risks and impacts in Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in enhancing students’ practical worship skills in the Fikih subject for Grade VI at MI Muhammadiyah Gedongan, Karanganyar. The research is motivated by the predominance of conventional teaching methods in Fikih instruction, which often focus on memorization and lectures, thereby limiting students’ mastery of practical worship skills. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included the teacher and Grade VI students, and data were analyzed thematically with validity ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL improves students’ ability to accurately perform religious practices such as wudhu, salat, and tayammum, while also fostering active participation, learning motivation, group collaboration, and spiritual awareness. Despite challenges such as limited time and facilities, the application of PjBL proved effective due to strong teacher engagement and a supportive madrasah environment. Thus, project-based learning is relevant for developing students’ worship skills and aligns with the goals of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the influence of influencer marketing and brand image on purchasing decisions for skincare products, despite the significant impact of this phenomenon on marketing strategies within the beauty industry. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of influencer marketing and brand image on purchasing decisions for Skintific products in the Bekasi area. A quantitative method with a survey approach was employed, using purposive sampling of 115 respondents residing in Bekasi who had previously purchased Skintific products. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The results indicate that both influencer marketing and brand image have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously, with brand image exerting the most dominant influence. These findings reinforce the theory that brand perception and social media-based communication strategies play a strategic role in shaping consumer behavior in the digital era. The study provides theoretical contributions to the literature on digital marketing and practical recommendations for businesses to optimize promotional strategies through influencer collaboration and brand image enhancement. It also opens opportunities for further exploration by expanding variables and research areas to gain deeper insights.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of axiological values in Islamic philosophy to the development of moral values among students (santri) at PTQ Cahaya Nusantara. The research is grounded in the urgency of moral education as a foundation for shaping student character based on Islamic values. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that moral values are instilled through daily adab habituation, teacher role modeling, the integration of adab and nature-based curricula, and the use of prophetic stories as instructional media. Educators adhere to the principle that adab precedes knowledge, aligning with the axiological values of Islam rooted in divine revelation and the character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Challenges such as lack of discipline and teacher inconsistency are addressed through internal strategies, including intensive mentoring and enhancement of Qur’anic memorization. The study concludes that PTQ Cahaya Nusantara has successfully integrated axiological principles of Islamic philosophy into its educational system, contributing positively to the sustainable and contextual formation of student character and morality.

Abstract

The limited scope of existing studies on the role of Islamic educational philosophy in the management of Islamic educational institutions forms the background of this research, despite its significant impact on governance quality and educational direction. This study aims to explore the contribution of Islamic educational philosophy to management practices at SD IT Hidayatullah Yogyakarta and to identify the key challenges in its implementation. A qualitative design was employed, using purposive sampling to select eight participants, including the principal, teachers, and administrative staff. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings reveal that Islamic educational philosophy serves as a foundational framework in formulating the school’s vision and mission, strengthening religious culture, integrating the curriculum, and fostering teacher role models. However, implementation faces several obstacles, such as limited conceptual understanding among educators, a gap between ideal values and actual practices, and challenges in aligning with national curriculum requirements. The study concludes that Islamic educational philosophy plays a strategic role in shaping institutional management systems and school culture, but its successful implementation depends on strengthening human resource capacity and the ability to adapt to local contexts. These findings offer theoretical implications for the development of Islamic education management studies, as well as practical recommendations for stakeholders in designing Islamic value-based training and managerial models.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of understanding symbolism in cultural traditions as an expression of the philosophical values of local communities. It examines the visual form and embedded philosophical meanings of the horse statue with a human head, a central element in the Tabuik celebration in Pariaman, West Sumatra. Tabuik is an annual ritual of the Pariaman community commemorating the Day of Ashura in the Shi’a Islamic tradition, honoring the events of Karbala and the sacrifice of Imam Husayn. The tradition reflects a fusion of religious elements and local culture rich in symbolism. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative method with Roland Barthes’ visual semiotics approach, analyzing meaning on three levels: denotative (literal), connotative (cultural associations), and myth (ideological and philosophical values). The findings reveal that the statue represents a synergy between local beliefs and Islamic history, particularly the narrative of Karbala and the journey of Buraq. The female face on the statue's head symbolizes gentleness and motherhood, representing Bundo Kanduang as an emblem of honor in Minangkabau culture. The concept of a “level journey” conveys the philosophical view that all humans are equal and share a common purpose toward goodness. The study concludes that the horse statue with a human head serves as a visual medium that represents the cultural identity, religious beliefs, and life philosophy of the Pariaman community.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of preserving traditional performing arts within the context of customary ceremonies, specifically Tari Tor-Tor Naposo Nauli Bulung, which forms part of the wedding rituals of the Mandailing community in Sigantang, Ranah Batahan Subdistrict, West Pasaman Regency. The research aims to describe and analyze the presentation form of this dance within the context of marriage ceremonies. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method was employed. Primary and secondary data were collected through literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed through the stages of data collection, description, identification, and reporting. The findings indicate that Tari Tor-Tor Naposo Nauli Bulung consists of eight movement variations, categorized into pure movements, such as jonjong, siamun, siambirang, tujolo, and the opening sequence and meaningful movements like maido tutuhan, symbolizing a prayer for a smooth ceremony, and mijur, marking the formalization of the marriage. The dance employs floor patterns that are horizontal, spiral, and circular. The accompanying music includes gondang, gong, momongan, suling, and tulilla. Dancers wear simple traditional attire, with a formation of five men and five women, and use a traditional selendang as the main prop. The performance takes place in the bride’s courtyard and serves as entertainment, a symbol of unity, a gesture of respect for elders, and a medium for preserving the social and cultural values of the Mandailing people.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the demonstration method in improving learning achievement in Fikih subjects at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). The research is grounded in the urgency of integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in the teaching of worship practices such as wudu, salat, and tayammum. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through a literature review, with data sourced from academic journals, books, and previous research findings. The results indicate that the demonstration method positively impacts students’ understanding of Fikih concepts, enhances worship skills, and fosters the development of religious character. The effectiveness of this method depends on teacher preparedness, availability of learning media, and efficient time management. However, challenges such as large class sizes and limited resources were identified. These challenges can be addressed through innovative strategies, including group-based learning and the use of simple teaching aids. The study concludes that the demonstration method is effective for Fikih instruction at MI, as it cultivates students who are not only intellectually competent but also practically skilled and morally upright. The implications of this study contribute to the development of practical and contextual Fikih learning models in Islamic primary education.
