Abstract

The purpose of a lesson is to change and increase the knowledge of students. These objectives will be maximally achieved if accompanied by good learning planning. The learning model is one of the aspects that influence student success. This study aims to find out how teachers at SD Negeri Empang Bahagia 3 apply learning models for students to support their success. the method used is a qualitative method. The results of this research are that in supporting the success of students the teachers apply the PBL method in learning, but the teachers also complain because the learning resources are only for them, and also that the existence of lesson plans does not help much in carrying out learning activities.

Abstract

This article is a theoretical study of the implementation of formative evaluation in grade IV students at SDN Petukangan Utara 08. This study aims to find out and describe empirically about: Aspects, techniques and procedures for class assessment carried out by teachers in grade IV students at SDN Petukangan Utara 08 South Jakarta. Evaluation is an important activity carried out by educators in the learning process. By evaluating educators, they can improve their competence in class management both in choosing learning methods, media, teaching materials, and so on which can motivate students to learn. besides that withEvaluation of educators can determine the level of success of their students. Therefore educators must carry out the implementation of evaluation activities correctly. This type of research is a qualitative research using a formative evaluation model developed by Scriven which includes aspects of assessment, assessment techniques, and assessment procedures. The instruments used were observation sheets and interviews. The results showed that: (1) The aspects of the assessment that had been carried out by the teacher included cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects, (2) The assessment techniques carried out by the teacher that had been developed were written tests and oral tests. The application of formative evaluation in grade IV is carried out at the beginning or throughout the learning process.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to several problems in speaking activity in the classroom, problems refer to the students’ feelings of anxiety to speak in the learning process. Based on the preliminary research, the researcher found that the students were anxious to speak in the classroom for some reasons like low of speaking aspects mastery and low of self-cofidence. In foreign language learning, students’ speaking ability can be affected by psychological factors. Thus, this research aimed to find out the factors that cause students’ speaking anxiety. This research was done in Al-Mumtaz Boarding School. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research. In order to collect the data, the researcher used non-participative observation and semi-structured interview as the instruments. The population of this research was all the seventh grade students of Al-Mumtaz Boarding School which consists of four classes, one boy’s class and three girls’ classes. The researcher used purposive sampling to get the sample for the observation because all the populations had same characteristics. The observation’s sample consist of two classes, one boy’s class and one girl’s class. Then, the researcher used snowball sampling to get the sample for the interview. There were fourteen students who were interviewed in this research. The result showed that there were several factors that cause students’ speaking anxiety at seventh grade of Al-Mumtaz Boarding school, either on boy’s class or girl’s class. Those factors are fear of negative responses from the others, low of self-confidence, fear of making mistakes and low of speaking aspects mastery (pronounciation, comprehension and vocabulary). In conclusion, there were four factors that cause students’ speaking anxiety at seventh grade of Al-Mumtaz Boarding School.

Abstract

Needs analysis is an important stage that is carried out at the beginning of the learning process. This study aims to analyze the learning needs of grade 3 students at SD Negeri Cikokol. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. The information needed in this study was obtained from observation and interviews. The respondent in answering is the third grade teacher. The stages in the needs analysis are observing the teacher's learning and teaching process in the classroom, and conducting interviews with teachers. The results of this study are in the form of a report on the learning needs of grade 3 students at SD Negeri Cikokol which shows that students need more digital teaching materials in the form of modules so that they can support learning activities. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers and schools as material for consideration in carrying out teaching and learning processes that suit the needs of students.

Abstract

Evaluation is a process of making a decision based on the results of an assessment. Evaluation will always be in the teaching and learning process. Summative evaluation is a form of assessment that is commonly known and used by teachers in schools. Evaluation will always be used in the school environment, both SD, SMP, and SMA/SMK to find out and assess the progress of students. Summative evaluation is a type of evaluation used to determine student achievement at the end of learning. Summative evaluation at the elementary and secondary education levels aims to assess the achievement of learning objectives and/or Learning Outcomes (CP) of students, as a basis for determining grade increases and/or graduation from educational units. To find out the learning outcomes of students in learning Islamic religious education, the teacher must have knowledge about the evaluation of learning outcomes, including the methods and steps for evaluating learning outcomes, so that the completed evaluation can be measured.

Abstract

The low level of education in Indonesia can be caused by the low human resources in Indonesian education, namely educators or teachers who do not have professionalism in carrying out their duties. Educational supervision is one way that can be taken in improving the quality of education through career development or the professionalism of a teacher. Educational supervision leads to improvement of educational problems through guiding, supervising, guiding and directing teachers to be professional in their field to improve education and fix problems in education. Educational Supervision assists teachers in making plans in the learning process so as to produce the desired output in learning. The purpose of writing this article is to examines educational supervision in increasing teacher professionalism. The type of method for writing this article uses the literature study method, namely in the form of a series of library activities that relating to methods of gathering information, reading and taking notes, as well as managing research materials. Based on research studies, it was obtained several results that educational supervision consists of two parts, namely managerial supervision and academic supervision. Managerial supervision is in the form of educational supervision with monitoring activities carried out by high school supervisors the performance of school principals in school management, while academic supervision focuses on supervising and monitoring teacher performance in carrying out their duties. The two sections of educational supervision are interrelated, so that in order to obtain quality education through teachers who have professionalism, these two sections of educational supervision must done together.

Abstract

In Belinteng Village, Se Bingai District, Langkat Regency, the Mbesur-mbesur tradition is still often carried out by the Karo people. symbolized in the foods served by family members. the type of research used in writing this research is descriptive qualitative type. Descriptive qualitative is research where the researcher is placed as a key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out by combining and inductive data analysis. The results of this study indicate that Islamic law applies to the implementation of the mbesur-mbesuri tradition in Belinteng Village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. That in the mbesur-mbesuri tradition it can be done, what is important is that people do not believe in the symbols associated with the mbesur-mbesuri tradition. Mbesur-mbesuri is also a manifestation of gratitude to Allah SWT. So that with these mbesuri, the community does one manifestation of gratitude and prays and hopes for something good that will be obtained. In addition, it is a legacy from the ancestral culture. The hope that is expected in the mbesur-mbesuri procession is achieved by worship that has been determined in the Shari'a.

Abstract

In the view of Islam and Christianity, religious moderation always creates differences. Differences in any field always lead to conflict. If it is not resolved properly, it will have the potential to create extreme attitudes that always justify limited choices, exacerbate religious life, and hinder the unity and integrity of the existing nation, society and state. Therefore, a solution is urgently needed that can provide peace and happiness in religious life, this is where the role of religious moderation is needed which is believed to be able to respect the diversity of choices and save us from extremism, intolerance and acts of violence. This study aims to find out how the concept of religious moderation in Islam and Christianity is compared and to increase the knowledge of students of the Study of Religions about the concept of religious moderation in the religious field according to Islam and Christianity. The research method used by researchers is the theological approach method. While the theoretical approach is comparative theory. Comparative theory or comparison is educational research that uses techniques to compare an object with another object. The data used in this research is Library Research. The primary data source is the main data source that the researcher collects directly from the research object. As for primary and secondary sources. The results of this study are; moderation in the form of Aqidah in Islam Moderation in the field of creed, moderation in Religious Thoughts: Between Textual and Liberal in Islam and Christianity, moderation in Interreligious Interaction in Islam, namely by the existence of Wasathiyah teachings in Islam and Christianity.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the authors are interested in conducting further research related to the Concept of State Defense in an Islamic and Christian Perspective because they want to know more about the concepts of the Koran and the Bible regarding state defense and how Islam and Christianity respond to state defense. Therefore, the author conducted a study entitled: "The Concept of State Defense in the Perspective of Islam and Protestant Christianity". The type of research that the authors conducted was library research, namely survey techniques used to collect data and information from various types of materials such as books, newspapers, magazines, journals, theses related to the discussion of this research, and several other works related to researcher this Tian. While the presentation of the data is qualitative. The results of the research findings that have been carried out can be stated as follows: State defense in an Islamic perspective is in Islam, jihad aims to defend, maintain, and also elevate the religion of Allah (Islam). Islam permits jihad or defending the country as long as it is not with war. Where to reject tyranny, to respect places of worship, to guarantee the independence of the homeland, eliminate slander, and guarantee the freedom of everyone to embrace their respective religions. Protestant Christianity explains that the participation of Protestant Christians in defending the country in life, nation and state should always try to make a contribution to the state. Defending the country is synonymous with the values contained as a mandatory action for every citizen. For Islam peace and if the country is good depends on the actions of their people, and always as a guide is the Al-Qur'an and Hadith to make the country better. The Qur'an also explains obeying Allah SWT, Rasulullah and ulil amri according to Allah's teachings. Meanwhile, in the Protestant Christian concept of defending the country that they think that the country is God, the formation of the country is from God, if they submit to the state then submit to God.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Marriage in the Perspective of Islam and Parmalim". Marriage in Islam and Parmalim there are differences and similarities namely; The first is about conditions, while the same conditions are the presence of a bride and groom. Secondly regarding the marriage contract, in Islam the marriage contract is called the ijab qabul, while in the Parmalim religion it is known as the blessing. The third is regarding the dowry, which in Islam can be in the form of money, a ring, a set of prayer tools, the holy Koran, other items or recitations of the holy verses of the Koran, while in the Parmalim religion it can also be in the form of goods, money or rings, which are handed over at the time of the marriage contract. The fourth equation is witnesses from both sides of the bridegroom and bride. Fifth, regarding pre-marital, namely provision before marriage, in Islam it is known as rapak while in Parmalim religion it is known as counseling or teaching which teaches about advice before marriage. The type of research used by researchers is a type of library research. Based on this research, it is interesting to get some interesting findings, namely; knowing how the correlation of marriage in Islam and Parmalim, there are similarities regarding Islamic and Parmalim religious marriages, namely: First regarding the conditions, the same condition is that there is a bride and groom. Secondly regarding the marriage contract, in Islam the marriage contract is called the ijab qabul, while in the Parmalim religion it is known as the blessing. The third is regarding the dowry, which in Islam can be in the form of money, a ring, a prayer kit, the holy Qur'an, other items or recitation of the holy verses of the Koran, while in the Parmalim religion it can also be in the form of goods, money or the ring, which is handed over at the time of the marriage ceremony in Islam is known as rapak while in Parmalim religion it is known as guidance counseling or teaching which teaches about advice before marriage.
