Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a critical health issue that must be addressed. Antibiotic resistance occurs when antibiotics are no longer effective in killing bacteria. High levels of antibiotic resistance can lead to various health problems, including an increase in disease incidence and mortality rates, as well as higher treatment costs and therapy failures. Inappropriate antibiotic use is often attributed to the lack of public knowledge about how to use antibiotics wisely and correctly. Therefore, the objective of this activity is to provide an understanding of the prudent use of antibiotics to prevent drug resistance. This community engagement is carried out through the delivery of materials and discussions with the PKK mothers as the audience. Based on the results obtained from the community engagement, there is an improvement in the knowledge of PKK mothers in the Kenoyojayan Village regarding the wise use of antibiotics. In conclusion, education and outreach can enhance the knowledge of PKK mothers about the prudent use of antibiotics.

Abstract

Background: One of the indirect causes of maternal mortality is anemia in pregnancy. Anemia is a condition where hemoglobin levels are less than they should be. Iron is an important element in the formation of hemoglobin. Fe tablets are very influential to increase hemoglobin. Objective: To know the picture of increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The collection technique used sampling. Samples taken were 80 respondents, with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using excel. Results: Hemoglobin levels of pregnant women with anemia at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital increased after taking Fe tablets with an average increase of 0.96. A total of 66 respondents experienced an increase with a percentage of 82.5% and a total of 14 respondents experienced a decrease with a percentage of 17.5% due to the side effects of nausea and vomiting. Conclusion: Pregnant women with anemia at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital who regularly consume Fe tablets have increased hemoglobin levels. Recommendations: future researchers are expected to examine other foods/drinks that can increase hemoglobin levels.

Abstract

Background: Delayed cord clamping (DCC) is a strategy for placental transfusion in newborns recommended by the obstetrics and gynecology community. Although not widely applied, umbilical cord milking (UCM) may result in faster transfusion when delayed cord clamping cannot be performed in neonates requiring resuscitation. Methods: Systematic review of various Meta-analysis and Randomized Control Trial journal articles. Data collection was taken from Pubmed databases and consisted of international journals that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 7 journals were obtained, published in 2020 - 2023. Results: There is a significant effect between the time delay of umbilical cord cutting on the hematocrit levels of infants. Conclusion: Delaying cord clamping has an effect on increasing hematocrit levels in newborns, and can be used as an alterative to prevent anemia in infants.

Abstract

Posyandu is a Village Community Institution as a forum for community participation tasked with assisting in improving basic social services and the health sector. Health Service Facility is a tool and place to carry out health service efforts, both promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative carried out by the Government, local governments, and the community. Health facilities owned by the private sector are more than health care facilities owned by the government. There has not been much research exploring the status of posyandu and ownership of health services. This study aims to analyze the status of posyadu and describe the ownership of health services in the health office area. This research is a descriptive research by conducting a study of data obtained from posyandu data and health service ownership reported in the Sukoharjo Regency Health Office Profile from 2017-2021. The data of this study are secondary data. The data obtained is then analyzed descriptively using graphs. Result: Sukoharjo Regency has 12 sub-districts with 12 puskemas working areas. The number of posyandu status in the Sukoharjo Health Office area in 2017-2021 that has decreased is kartasura and gatak. The number of posyandu that fluctuates every year is in the Weru, Nguter and Bendosari areas. Areas that have increased the number of posyandu are tawangsari, sukoharjo, polokarto, mojolaban, grogol and baki. Abstract

Overall survival (OS) assesses the patient's survival rate after undergoing therapy. The evaluation of OS becomes a reliable clinical endpoint for assessing the malignancy response to chemotherapy intervention. Here in, we review a number of publications on PCR data in various chemotherapy protocols for different types of cancer. The literature review involves nine scientific articles that meet the inclusion criteria provided by the PubMed database. Our findings present the performance of chemotherapy protocols with the highest OS values for each type of cancer, including: Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Metastasis (Durvalumab plus Tremelimumab-31.2), Non-Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (Nivolumab-30.8), Small Cell Lung Cancer (Carboplatin and Etoposide-13.2), Breast Cancer (Ribociclib plus Fulvestrant-67.6), Metastatic Breast Cancer (Olaparib-18.9), Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (Trifluridine/tipiracil-13.1), Liver Cancer (SBRT 44.1). This article reviews a number of publications on PCR data in various chemotherapy protocols for different types of cancer.
