Abstract

Background: The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in the Kebumen region, particularly in the sub-district of Rowokele in 2023, was 69.2%. One of the factors contributing to the low exclusive breastfeeding rate among babies under six months of age is the lack of knowledge and skills in breastfeeding, as well as challenges in breast milk production for postpartum mothers during the early days after delivery, often extending beyond three days. The consequences of not providing exclusive breastfeeding until the baby is six months old are impaired child growth and development. Utilizing tutorial video media for the management of exclusive breastfeeding can be a viable solution to enhance mothers' knowledge and skills in breastfeeding, as videos engage both the sense of hearing and sight. This multimedia approach caters to various learning senses in the human body, facilitating a better understanding and retention of the information provided. Objective: To apply Video Tutorial Media for the Management of Exclusive Breastfeeding for postpartum mothers to enhance their Breastfeeding Knowledge and Skills. Methods: This research employed a case study design. Five postpartum mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria participated in the study. Data were collected through observation and documentation. Results: The application was conducted for 14 days, starting 6 hours after giving birth. The participants watched the Video Tutorial on the Management of Exclusive Breastfeeding once daily for 14 days. Following the implementation of the Video Tutorial, there was a significant improvement in Knowledge and Skills related to breastfeeding for all five participants. Prior to the application, their knowledge and skills were categorized as poor. Conclusion: The implementation of video tutorial media for the management of exclusive breastfeeding effectively increased the knowledge and skills of breastfeeding mothers.

Abstract

The Online-Based TryOut and Guidance Program for Physiotherapy Competency Examination (UKOM) in 2023 is an initiative aimed at preparing participants for the Physiotherapy UKOM from various physiotherapy institutions across Indonesia. The program was held in August 2023 and involved 145 participants. Through online platforms such as Zoom Meetings, participants were granted access to learning materials, TryOut tests, and direct guidance from experienced physiotherapy instructors. The results of this program included an improved understanding of the material, enhanced examination skills, inter-institutional collaboration, and increased accessibility for participants from across the nation. Consequently, the program has provided significant benefits in preparing participants for the Physiotherapy UKOM, enhancing the quality of human resources in the field of physiotherapy, and opening opportunities for cross-institutional collaboration that could potentially support advancements in this field in Indonesia. Programs like this demonstrate the potential for further development in the context of physiotherapy education and certification in the future.

Chronic kidney failure (CKD) is a disease that cannot be transmitted, but it remains a global public health issue. This is a chronic condition with the greatest fatality rate in the world, ranking 20th overall. Being aware of kidney disease risk factors contributes to the early detection and prevention of chronic renal failure. Several risk factors for kidney disease have been identified, including advanced age, a family history of disease, and fluid drinking patterns. PKK moms, a group of persons ranging in age from adults to the elderly, are susceptible to dehydration. Comprehensive education about kidney health and appropriate fluid consumption is required as a promotional and preventive measure. The community service program is implemented. The community service program is carried out by educating activity participants. This activity had 19 participants. Education is carried out through the education, simulations, and discussion. The results of the education revealed an increase in participant knowledge. This was demonstrated by an increase in the average pretest score from 47.5 to 83 at the time of the posttest.
