Abstract

Although problem-based learning models have attracted considerable research attention, studies that specifically examine the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to strengthen understanding of rights and obligations in Pendidikan Pancasila instruction in primary schools remain limited. This study aims to describe how PBL can enhance students’ engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding in real classroom contexts. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design, involving all Grade IV students at SD IT Ar-Rakyu selected through total sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, field notes, documentation, and analyses of students’ work, and subsequently analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that PBL fosters active participation, group collaboration, and deeper conceptual understanding, particularly when supported by multimodal media such as thematic videos, songs, posters, and contextual student worksheets (LKPD). These results contribute to the development of constructivist learning theory and extend understanding of PBL implementation in Pendidikan Pancasila within the context of Kurikulum Merdeka. The study concludes that student-centered, problem-oriented instruction plays an important role in enhancing motivation and character formation, and recommends that teachers integrate contextual problems, digital media, and structured role allocation in PBL. It also identifies opportunities for further research in broader contexts and for examining the long-term impact on students’ citizenship competencies.

Abstract

Companies in the digital technology era face substantial challenges in obtaining funding, partly due to increasing demands for the implementation of sustainability practices. Problems arise when green governance structures designed to support sustainability instead have the potential to exacerbate financing constraints. This study aims to analyze the effect of green governance structure on corporate financing constraints and to assess the role of the equity balance level as a moderating variable. The research uses data from manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 17 companies and a total of 68 observations. Data were analyzed using panel regression with E-Views software. The findings show that green governance structure has a positive and significant effect on corporate financing constraints in the digital technology era. However, when moderated by the equity balance level, green governance structure has a negative and significant effect on financing constraints, indicating that equity can weaken the impact of green governance on funding difficulties. The study concludes that green governance can intensify funding pressure, but equity balance functions as a buffer that strengthens the firm’s funding capacity. The implications encourage management to reinforce equity structures in order to sustain the implementation of green governance without increasing the burden of financing constraints.

Abstract

Teacher performance plays a strategic role in the success of vocational education; however, many vocational high schools still face challenges such as suboptimal work discipline, fluctuating work motivation, and compensation perceived as inadequate. This study aimed to analyze the effects of work discipline, work motivation, and compensation on the performance of vocational high school teachers in Sayung District. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed, using a saturated sampling technique that involved all 50 teachers as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, while work motivation has a positive but not significant effect. Compensation was found to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, and jointly the three variables significantly influence performance with a coefficient of determination of 67.5%, indicating that work discipline, work motivation, and compensation explain most of the variance in teacher performance. In conclusion, work discipline and compensation are dominant factors in improving teacher performance, whereas work motivation needs to be strengthened through sustained managerial policies. The implications of this study highlight the importance of human resource management based on discipline, improved welfare, and effective school governance to reinforce the quality of vocational education at the vocational high school level.

Abstract

Low learning discipline among elementary school students, particularly fifth-grade students at SDN Kamal 1, has a significant impact on the effectiveness of instruction, as reflected in behaviors such as arriving late to class, lack of focus during lessons, non-compliance with rules, and low commitment to completing assignments. This study aimed to describe teachers’ strategies in fostering students’ learning discipline, identify the challenges faced, and explain the solutions implemented in the learning process. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study design was employed, with the fifth-grade classroom teacher selected through purposive sampling as the main subject. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which comprises data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that three main strategies—habituation, role modeling, and positive reinforcement—play an effective role in shaping students’ learning discipline, although their implementation remains constrained by low discipline habits in the home environment and limited student self-awareness. These results reinforce character education theory that emphasizes the importance of value internalization through continuous habituation and reinforcement, and they affirm that the success of discipline formation does not depend solely on teacher strategies but also requires support from the family environment and the broader school ecosystem. The study implies the need for more intensive collaboration between teachers and parents, strengthening of habituation programs at school, and the development of learning strategies that are more responsive to students’ characteristics and needs.

Abstract

The infrastructure conditions of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) buildings in Konawe Kepulauan Regency are still marked by various problems, including damaged structures, limited classroom space, substandard sanitation facilities, and inadequate learning support amenities, all of which negatively impact the quality of educational services and constrain comfortable and effective learning activities. This study aimed to formulate a management model for MTs building rehabilitation that is effective, efficient, and oriented toward improving the quality of educational services. Adopting a qualitative approach with a case study design in several MTs in Konawe Kepulauan Regency, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings show that an ideal rehabilitation management system is supported by three main components: (1) planning based on the actual needs of the madrasah; (2) transparent and accountable rehabilitation governance; and (3) sustainable post-rehabilitation utilization and maintenance of buildings. The implementation of this model has been shown to improve the condition of facilities, create a safer and more conducive learning environment, and enhance the quality of educational services at the madrasah level. These findings provide practical contributions for local policymakers and administrators of Islamic educational institutions in designing more targeted and sustainable infrastructure rehabilitation programs.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital commerce via social media platforms has driven shifts in marketing strategies, including the use of celebrity endorsement and the enhancement of electronic service quality, which directly affect brand image formation and customer loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of celebrity endorsement and e-service quality on customer loyalty, with brand image as an intervening variable among Aerostreet consumers on TikTok. A quantitative method with an explanatory research design was employed involving 100 respondents who had purchased Aerostreet products at least twice via TikTok Shop. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS to test both direct and indirect relationships among the constructs. The results show that celebrity endorsement and e-service quality have a significant positive effect on brand image, and that brand image significantly affects customer loyalty. In addition, celebrity endorsement and e-service quality indirectly influence customer loyalty through brand image as a mediating variable. These findings underscore the importance of endorser credibility, electronic service quality, and brand image management in digital marketing strategies aimed at strengthening customer loyalty. The practical implications direct companies to optimize celebrity-based promotion and improve the quality of digital services in order to build long-term relationships with consumers in social media–based digital commerce ecosystems.

Abstract

Although the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is designed to enhance the welfare and self-reliance of vulnerable families through financial assistance combined with educational activities such as P2K2/P3K, its implementation effectiveness does not always align with the policy design. This study aims to explore the experiences of PKH beneficiaries in the subdistricts of Cadasari and Karangtanjung and the City of Cilegon to understand how the assistance is interpreted, implemented, and perceived in relation to behavioral change and the development of beneficiaries’ capacity for self-reliance. Adopting a qualitative approach with an interpretative phenomenological method, the study draws on in-depth interviews, program observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal four main themes: assistance is more often perceived as a routine entitlement than as a transformative instrument; low financial and digital literacy constrains the optimal utilization of benefits; P2K2/P3K activities tend to function as administrative procedures rather than genuine learning spaces; and local resilience develops through informal coping strategies grounded in social capital. These findings indicate that PKH beneficiaries are not in a passive position but actively develop adaptive strategies, although these strategies are not yet fully oriented toward long-term economic self-reliance. The study concludes that PKH effectiveness requires a shift in implementation from mere benefit distribution to an empowerment-oriented model that strengthens financial and digital capacities, enhances the quality of adult-learning-based mentoring, and integrates local social capital into the program’s formal mechanisms. This study contributes to the development of an adaptive social protection approach in Indonesia and offers implementable recommendations for strengthening literacy and mentoring that are sensitive to local contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of fulfilling students’ nutritional needs as a key factor supporting the success of teaching and learning processes in elementary schools, given that poor nutritional quality often leads to reduced concentration, learning enthusiasm, and attendance. The study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) at UPTD KAMAL 1 Bangkalan on students’ attendance, motivation, and learning atmosphere. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving students and teachers as research participants. Data were collected through interviews, direct observations, and documentation, and were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of behavioral change and dynamics in students’ activities after participating in the program. The findings show that the MBG Program has a significantly positive impact on students’ enthusiasm and discipline, as reflected in increased attendance, reduced tardiness, and high motivation to come to school in the morning. Shared meal activities create a warm and inclusive atmosphere, strengthen social interaction among students, and foster closer relationships between teachers and students, while simultaneously enhancing students’ focus and readiness to learn after breakfast. These findings reinforce the understanding that adequate nutrition has a direct effect on students’ mental readiness, emotional comfort, and engagement in the learning process. The study concludes that the MBG Program not only contributes to meeting students’ nutritional needs but also improves the overall quality of the learning process, and offers practical implications for schools and government in designing sustainable nutrition programs as an effort to enhance the quality of education at the elementary level.

Abstract

Although financial performance has been widely studied, there remains a significant gap in comprehensive studies that focus on effectively addressing situations of financial distress, particularly in manufacturing companies listed on sharia stock indices. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance on financial distress in manufacturing sub-sector companies included in the Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) during the period 2020–2023. The research uses secondary data with a descriptive quantitative approach, with a sample of 8 out of 21 companies selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, panel data regression analysis, selection of the appropriate panel regression estimation model, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that, partially, the Activity Ratio has a positive and significant effect on financial distress, the Solvency Ratio has a negative and significant effect on financial distress, whereas the Liquidity Ratio has a positive but not significant effect. Simultaneously, the Activity Ratio, Liquidity Ratio, and Solvency Ratio have a positive and significant effect on financial distress. These findings indicate that companies need to maximize asset efficiency, reduce the level of debt, and increase equity to avoid financial distress, while also providing practical insights for management in financial decision-making and in managing the risk of financial distress in sharia-based manufacturing companies.

Abstract

The growth of digital food delivery services has driven changes in consumer behavior, including increasingly intensive use of the ShopeeFood platform. This study aims to analyze the influence of online customer reviews and e-service quality on purchase decisions, with purchase intention as an intervening variable, among ShopeeFood users in Semarang City. A descriptive-verificative quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with questionnaires administered to 151 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that online customer reviews and e-service quality have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, and they also have a positive effect on purchase decisions both directly and indirectly through purchase intention as a mediating variable. These findings confirm that high-quality consumer reviews and good digital service quality can enhance consumer trust, interest, and purchase decisions. The study concludes that more systematic management of customer reviews and optimization of electronic service quality can serve as effective strategies to increase purchase decisions in food delivery services, with practical implications for ShopeeFood in designing marketing strategies, developing application features, and strengthening overall digital service quality.
