Abstract

Although transformational leadership style is often regarded as a factor that can encourage employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), this relationship does not always show a positive direction, particularly in the healthcare sector, which requires intensive cooperation and high service quality. This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership style on OCB among employees at Hospital X, Padang City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The study population comprised all employees of Hospital X, Padang City, with a sample of 144 employees selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using Likert scales based on aspects of transformational leadership and OCB, and were then analyzed statistically to examine the relationship between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a negative and significant effect on OCB, with a regression coefficient of -0.149 and a significance value of 0.019 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that an increase in transformational leadership style is not always followed by an increase in OCB, suggesting the possibility that other factors, such as organizational culture, workload, or job satisfaction, play a greater role in influencing OCB. Thus, this study emphasizes that the effectiveness of transformational leadership in encouraging extra-role behavior needs to be understood contextually within the hospital environment and contributes to the development of organizational behavior studies in the healthcare service sector.

Abstract

Although the low student learning outcomes in the subject Fundamentals of the Marketing Skills Program in Grade X of the Retail Business Department at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak remain a concern, the use of less varied learning models and differences in levels of learning creativity are presumed to be factors influencing this condition. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and learning creativity on student learning outcomes. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental design involving an experimental class and a control class. The population of the study consisted of all Grade X students in the Retail Business Department at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak, with the sampling technique using total sampling. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and learning creativity questionnaires, and were then analyzed using the t-test and linear regression with the assistance of the SPSS program. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning model had a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes compared with conventional learning. In addition, learning creativity was also proven to have a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Simultaneously, the Problem Based Learning model and learning creativity contributed to improving student learning outcomes. Thus, this study confirms that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model supported by student learning creativity can improve learning outcomes more optimally. These findings contribute to strengthening innovative learning practices in vocational education and have practical implications for teachers to apply more varied learning models and encourage student creativity in order to improve the quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Although the role of social media influencers has received increasing attention in digital marketing research, studies that specifically examine the relationship among influencer presence, credibility of influencer, perceived quality, and purchase intention in the context of food review content on TikTok remain limited. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media influencer and credibility of influencer on purchase intention, with perceived quality as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design involving 100 respondents who were followers of the TikTok influencer Codeblue and were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The results showed that social media influencer and credibility of influencer had a significant effect on perceived quality. In addition, perceived quality was proven to have a significant effect on purchase intention and to mediate the relationship between influencer and consumers’ purchase intention. These findings contribute to the development of signaling theory and the digital marketing literature by expanding understanding of how influencer credibility and social media content shape perceived quality and consumer purchasing behavior. The study concludes that perceived quality is an important factor in shaping purchase intention through influencer-based marketing activities. Therefore, companies and digital marketers are advised to collaborate with influencers who have high credibility and to present informative content to strengthen consumers’ perceptions of product quality. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the influencer marketing literature and practical implications for business actors in optimizing marketing strategies through social media.

Abstract

Although studies on the work loyalty of senior teachers have received attention in several studies, research that specifically examines it from the perspective of spiritual leadership remains limited. This study aims to analyze the work loyalty of senior teachers from the perspective of spiritual leadership. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data sources included senior teachers at SMA Islam Swasta Ulun Nuhai in Medan who had at least five years of work experience, as well as the principal and vice principal. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the work loyalty of senior teachers was influenced by the strengthening of moral values, a work atmosphere that appreciates the role of teachers, and the active involvement of teachers in the school environment. These findings affirm that work loyalty in education is not sufficiently built through a merely administrative approach, but needs to be supported by spiritual leadership that is able to foster a sense of being valued, attachment, and dedication naturally without coercion. This study contributes to the development of work loyalty theory by expanding understanding of the role of spiritual leadership in building the commitment of senior teachers. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of schools providing moral guidance and creating a supportive work environment to strengthen teacher loyalty. In addition, this study opens opportunities for further research on the factors that influence low work loyalty among Generation Z.

Abstract

Although early childhood language development has been widely studied through various school-based learning approaches, studies that specifically discuss family-based literacy interventions through a structured movement integrated with early childhood education institutions remain limited. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of the Gerakan Ibu Membacakan Buku di Rumah in developing the receptive language skills of early childhood children. This study employed a qualitative approach with a field study design, involving 12 participants consisting of teachers and parents at PAUD Rumah Kreatif Wadas Kelir who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the program was implemented in a structured manner through collaboration between the school and families, which had an impact on improving children’s receptive language abilities, including listening skills, language comprehension, vocabulary mastery, and retelling ability. These findings contribute to strengthening understanding of the importance of family-based literacy interaction in the context of early childhood education. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of consistency in implementation, the quality of parent–child interaction, and synergy between schools and families in optimizing children’s language development. The practical implications of this study provide a basis for early childhood education institutions and parents in designing sustainable literacy programs and open opportunities for further exploration of more adaptive and contextual family-based literacy intervention models.

Abstract

Although social media marketing strategies have received attention in various studies, research that specifically discusses their implementation in small-scale franchise businesses remains limited. This study aims to analyze the social media marketing strategies implemented, identify constraints in their implementation, and formulate alternative solutions to improve marketing effectiveness at the D’potachiz franchise at GOR H. Agus Salim, Padang City. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The informants consisted of the business owner, employees, and consumers who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The results showed that the implemented social media marketing strategy had not been systematically structured, as indicated by the absence of scheduled content planning, limited content variation, and suboptimal interaction with consumers. The main constraints included limited ability to create creative content, time constraints, and a lack of consistency in social media management. The solutions that can be undertaken include improving content quality, planning posts more systematically, and increasing interaction with consumers. These findings contribute to the development of digital marketing studies, particularly in small businesses, and provide practical implications for business actors in optimizing social media marketing strategies. This study also opens opportunities for broader and more measurable further research.

Abstract

Studies on the factors influencing employee performance have been widely conducted, but research that specifically examines the role of knowledge management and human resource development in the public service sector remains relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of knowledge management and human resource development on the employee performance of PDAM Kota Padang. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 90 respondents selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with multiple linear regression after validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests assisted by SPSS. The results showed that knowledge management and human resource development had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. These findings reinforce the concept of human resource management, which emphasizes the importance of knowledge management and competency improvement within organizations. The conclusion of this study confirms that both factors are key elements in improving employee performance and therefore need to receive serious attention from management. The implications of this study include a practical contribution for organizations in designing more effective employee development strategies, as well as opening opportunities for further research by incorporating other relevant variables.

Abstract

Although transformational leadership has been widely discussed in educational management, empirical studies that specifically link its implementation to the management of educational financing in primary schools remain limited. This study aims to examine the role of transformational leadership in optimizing the management of educational financing and to describe its concrete implementation at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Rancabanteng, Wangon Subdistrict. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and two teachers, observation, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the principal consistently implemented the four dimensions of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration, thereby producing a participatory and transparent budget management system. These findings indicate that transformational leadership transforms the management of educational financing from an administrative function into a strategic instrument for improving educational quality. The conclusion of this study confirms that the principal’s transformational leadership competence is a key factor in realizing educational financing governance that is transparent, participatory, and quality-oriented. The implications of this study emphasize that transformational leadership deserves to be integrated into principal development policies and educational financial management reform.

Abstract

Credit risk in financing companies is an important issue influenced by various financial indicators, but studies that specifically integrate liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and earnings quality in a single predictive model remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and earnings quality on credit risk. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal research design, involving 68 data points from financing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through the documentation method from financial statements and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the liquidity ratio had a negative and significant effect on credit risk, the solvency ratio had a positive and significant effect, while earnings quality had no significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables had a significant effect on credit risk. These findings contribute to the development of risk management theory and expand understanding of the determinants of credit risk in the financing sector. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of liquidity management and debt structure in controlling credit risk. The implications of this study include theoretical and practical contributions for companies and investors, while also opening opportunities for further research by incorporating broader variables.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that affect the net profit of manufacturing companies, particularly production costs, inventory, and sales, as a basis for making more effective financial decisions. This study aims to examine the effect of production costs, inventory, and sales on net profit in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 40 companies selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected from annual financial statements and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS 25. The results showed that production costs had a significant effect on net profit (t = 3.498; significance = 0.001), whereas inventory (t = -0.052; significance = 0.959) and sales (t = 0.636; significance = 0.529) had no significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables had a significant effect on net profit (F = 22.385; significance = 0.000). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.622 indicates that 62.2% of the variation in net profit can be explained by production costs, inventory, and sales. This study concludes that production costs are the most determining variable affecting net profit; therefore, companies need to prioritize more effective production cost management to improve financial performance.
