Abstract

The misuse of financing funds by MSME actors has become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses its implications for the welfare of business actors remains limited. This study aims to analyze the forms of misuse of financing funds, their causal factors, and their implications for the welfare of MSME actors at BPRS Haji Miskin Pandai Sikek. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of BPRS management and MSME actors selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using thematic analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the misuse of financing funds predominantly takes the form of using funds for nonproductive needs, lack of openness regarding business information, and noncompliance with financing contracts. These deviations have an impact on low business growth, income stagnation, the absence of asset growth, and increased risk of default. These findings contribute to the development of agency theory and broaden understanding of customer behavior in Islamic financing. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that supervision, financial literacy, and compliance with contracts are important factors in ensuring the effective use of financing funds. The practical implication is that Islamic financial institutions need to improve their monitoring systems and business assistance so that financing can contribute more optimally to the welfare of MSME actors.

Abstract

MSME business development strategies have become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses the development of traditional food-based businesses with limited internal resources remains limited. This study aims to analyze the business development strategy of the Bunga Seroja Rice Cracker business in Lubuk Pasing Village, Bayang Subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. The research informants consisted of the business owner, employees, and consumers selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the business development strategy is still carried out conventionally and has not been optimally integrated. In the production aspect, the business process still depends on traditional methods and weather conditions. In the marketing aspect, the distribution reach is still limited to the local market. In the business capital aspect, the deferred payment system causes slow capital turnover. Meanwhile, in the human resource aspect, the use of casual labor leads to instability in production and product quality. These findings contribute to the development of business strategy studies, particularly in the context of traditional food-based MSMEs. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that the integration of production, marketing, capital, and human resource aspects is needed to support business sustainability. The practical implication is that business actors and the government need to design more effective development strategies through strengthening production capacity, improving capital management, stabilizing the workforce, and expanding market access.

Abstract

Low understanding of Arabic literacy and kitab kuning among santri remains a problem in pesantren learning, particularly because of the dominance of teacher-centered conventional methods that insufficiently encourage santri active participation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the peer teaching or peer tutoring method in accelerating santri understanding of Arabic literacy and kitab kuning at Pondok Pesantren Anwarul Huda Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects included santri, peer tutors, and ustadz. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the peer teaching method was effective in improving santri understanding of Arabic literacy and kitab kuning. This method created a more active, communicative, and collaborative learning atmosphere, enabling santri to understand the material more easily through explanations from peer tutors. Improvement was also evident in the ability to read kitab gundul, understand nahwu and sharaf, and translate texts. In addition, this method had a positive impact on santri self-confidence and learning motivation, although it still faced challenges in the form of differences in tutor quality and limited implementation time. These findings confirm that peer teaching can serve as a relevant alternative learning strategy to strengthen Arabic literacy and kitab kuning in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

Increasing competition in Indonesia’s coffee industry requires companies to understand the factors that shape customer loyalty sustainably. However, previous research findings regarding the influence of product quality and brand trust on customer loyalty, as well as the role of customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, remain inconsistent. This study aimed to analyze the influence of product quality and brand trust on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction among Fore Coffee consumers in Semarang City. This study used an explanatory quantitative approach involving 243 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS. The results showed that product quality and brand trust had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. In addition, customer satisfaction was proven to partially mediate the relationship between product quality and brand trust and customer loyalty. The conclusion of this study confirms that improving product quality and brand trust can consistently shape customer loyalty through customer satisfaction. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of corporate strategies in maintaining product quality and building brand trust to improve customer satisfaction and customer loyalty sustainably.

Abstract

The dependence of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors on moneylenders remains an important issue in strengthening the community economy, while studies that specifically discuss the strategies of Islamic microfinance institutions in bridging financing needs at the local level remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the factors that lead MSME actors to prefer moneylenders and to evaluate the strategies of KSPPS BMT El-Itqan Lubuk Malako in providing alternative financing that meets community needs. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving a number of informants consisting of MSME actors and BMT managers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using inductive thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that ease of access, speed of fund disbursement, and minimal administrative requirements were the main reasons MSME actors chose moneylenders, although the interest charged was relatively high and had a negative impact on business sustainability. On the other hand, BMT El-Itqan has played a role as a Sharia-based financing alternative, but still faces limitations in service speed and financing flexibility. These findings contribute to the development of consumer behavior theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior in the context of Islamic microfinance, while also broadening understanding of financing behavior among rural communities. The conclusion of this study confirms the importance of improving accessibility, service speed, and financial literacy to strengthen the role of BMT as a more adaptive financing alternative for MSME actors.

Abstract

Marketing strategies in laying hen businesses have been the focus of various studies, but research that specifically discusses the formulation of marketing strategies based on an analysis of internal and external conditions in small-scale businesses remains limited. This study aimed to analyze marketing strategies in improving the competitiveness of a laying hen business at Bapak Tuani Farm in Dua Koto Subdistrict, Pasaman Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving key and supporting informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis and SWOT analysis through the IFAS and EFAS matrices. The results showed that the business had strengths in product quality, self-produced feed, and a strategic location, but still faced weaknesses in the form of a small business scale, dependence on a single collector, and the absence of an egg grading system. Opportunities in the form of stable market demand had also not been optimally utilized because of limited marketing strategies and increasing competition. These findings contribute to the development of marketing strategy theory and competitive advantage in the context of small-scale agribusiness, while also broadening understanding of the importance of integrating internal and external analysis in business strategy formulation. The conclusion of this study confirms that strengthening marketing strategies through distribution diversification and increasing product added value is necessary to improve the competitiveness of small-scale laying hen businesses.

Abstract

Marketing strategies have been the focus of various studies, but research that specifically discusses ornamental fish marketing strategies in local-scale businesses using the 7P marketing mix approach remains limited. This study aimed to analyze ornamental fish marketing strategies at Bintang Farm, Nan Sabaris Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving the business owner as the main informant selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the marketing strategies implemented had not been optimal, as indicated by the low intensity of promotion through social media, limited availability of natural feed that affected product quality, and sales fluctuations over time. These findings contribute to the development of marketing strategy studies, particularly the application of the 7P marketing mix in local-scale ornamental fish businesses, while also broadening understanding of the relationship between product quality, promotion, and marketing effectiveness. The conclusion of this study confirms the importance of optimizing digital promotion, improving product quality, and managing more integrated marketing strategies to support the sustainability of ornamental fish businesses. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for business actors in designing more effective marketing strategies and open opportunities for further studies on the effectiveness of digital marketing and the integration of production aspects in fisheries business marketing.

Abstract

Competition among traditional food businesses is becoming increasingly intense, but studies that specifically discuss product development strategies in improving the competitiveness of locally based dodol businesses remain limited. This study aimed to analyze product development strategies in improving the competitiveness of the Tiga Putri Dodol Business in Singengu Village, Kotanopan Subdistrict. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving the business owner as the main informant and consumers as supporting informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed descriptively using the Ansoff Matrix. The results showed that competition among dodol businesses was relatively high, with eight business actors, while the Tiga Putri Dodol Business had a market share of below 10% despite experiencing an increase in revenue. The products produced were still limited to one flavor variant with relatively uniform traditional packaging, resulting in low product differentiation. In addition, the conventional marketing system caused limited market reach. Based on the Ansoff Matrix analysis, the relevant strategy is product development through increasing product variety and quality. These findings contribute to the development of marketing strategy and MSME competitiveness studies, while also broadening understanding of the importance of product innovation in the context of traditional food businesses. The conclusion of this study confirms that product innovation and strengthening marketing strategies are necessary to improve the competitiveness of the Tiga Putri Dodol Business, with support from business actors and the government in the development of locally based MSMEs.

Abstract

Early childhood education requires learning strategies that are appropriate to children’s developmental characteristics, but learning practices in playgroups are still often limited in the use of varied and engaging media, so the stimulation of children’s cognitive and social development has not been optimal. This study aimed to examine the use of puzzle media as a learning strategy and its implications for the cognitive and social development of early childhood at Arga Mulya Playgroup. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of 10 children and a classroom teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the use of puzzle media had a positive impact on the learning process and children’s development. Children showed increased learning interest, activeness, and ability to concentrate for longer periods. Children’s cognitive abilities also developed, particularly in recognizing shapes and colors, thinking logically, and solving simple problems. In addition, children showed improvement in social and character aspects, such as carefulness, patience, and perseverance. The conclusion of this study confirms that puzzle media can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to support the cognitive and social development of early childhood in playgroups.

Abstract

Although religious attitudes and learning perseverance have been the focus of various studies, research that specifically discusses the relationship between religious attitudes and learning perseverance among students in integrated Islamic elementary schools remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between religious attitudes and students’ learning perseverance in Islamic Religious Education. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 26 fifth-grade students of SDIT Syahiral Ilmi selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires on religious attitudes and learning perseverance, and were then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. The results showed a significant relationship between religious attitudes and learning perseverance, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.002 < 0.05 and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.589, which falls into the moderately strong category. In addition, most students had religious attitudes in the high category, and all students were in the high category for learning perseverance. These findings contribute to the development of studies on religiosity and learning perseverance in the context of Islamic education, while also broadening understanding of the importance of religious values in shaping students’ learning behavior. The conclusion of this study confirms that religious attitudes play an important role in supporting students’ learning perseverance, so educational institutions need to strengthen religious character development as part of improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.
