Abstract

Human resource development strategies have become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses the gap between labor needs and the availability of competent human resources in the palm oil plantation industry remains limited. This study aims to analyze human resource development strategies in improving employee performance at PT Sawit Jujuhan Abadi. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of personnel division representatives and four employees selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were then analyzed using interactive qualitative analysis and SWOT analysis through the IFE and EFE matrices. The results show a competency gap between the company’s needs and the workforce’s capabilities, which affects work effectiveness and the achievement of production targets. The company has implemented various human resource development strategies, such as training, improvement of technical skills, collaboration with external institutions, and the application of industry standards to improve employee performance. These findings contribute to the development of human resource management studies and broaden understanding of workforce management in the palm oil plantation industry. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that competency alignment is an important factor in improving employee performance. The practical implication is that the company needs to continuously optimize human resource development strategies to improve workforce quality, effectiveness, and productivity.

Abstract

The development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the brick production sector, has become a focus in various previous studies. However, research that specifically discusses sharia-based business development strategies using a SWOT analysis approach in brick-making businesses at the local level remains limited. This study aims to analyze sharia business development strategies in increasing income in the brick-making business owned by Ajmalul Amri in Korong Palak Atok, Lubuk Alung Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The main and supporting informants were selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques with a SWOT approach (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). The results show that the business is in a defensive strategy position, with weak internal conditions indicated by limited capital, simple production technology, and dependence on weather factors that cause fluctuations in production and income. On the other hand, market opportunities remain open, but the business faces the threat of high competition. These findings contribute to the development of studies on strategic management and Islamic economics in the context of traditional-based microenterprises and broaden understanding of the importance of integrating internal and external analysis in formulating business strategies. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that strengthening the internal factors of the business is the main strategy for increasing business sustainability and income. The practical implication is that business actors and stakeholders need to strengthen access to capital, production efficiency, and adaptive business management to support the development of sharia-based microenterprises.

Abstract

Research on dividend policy and the factors influencing it continues to develop in the corporate finance literature. However, discussions that specifically examine the effects of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) at PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk during the 2012–2024 period still need to be strengthened. This study aims to analyze the effects of NPM, ROA, and DER on DPR. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The research data consisted of secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk during the 2012–2024 period, selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through documentation study and were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS. The results show that partially, NPM has a positive and significant effect on DPR, whereas ROA and DER have negative and significant effects on DPR. Simultaneously, NPM, ROA, and DER have a significant effect on DPR, with a coefficient of determination of 0.998. These findings broaden understanding of dividend policy in the context of manufacturing companies and emphasize the importance of profitability and capital structure in determining dividend distribution. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the development of corporate finance literature and practical contributions for management in formulating more appropriate dividend policies.

Abstract

Research on banking financial performance continues to develop, but discussions that specifically examine the effects of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) on Return on Assets (ROA) at PT Bank Central Asia Tbk still need to be strengthened. This study aims to analyze the effects of BOPO, LDR, and NPL on ROA. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The research data consisted of secondary data obtained from the quarterly financial reports of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk for the 2019–2024 period, with 24 observations selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through documentation techniques and were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS. The results show that both partially and simultaneously, BOPO, LDR, and NPL have significant effects on ROA. These findings indicate that operational efficiency, credit distribution capability, and credit risk management are important factors in determining bank profitability. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of controlling operating costs, optimizing credit distribution, and managing credit risk in improving banking financial performance. The implications of this study contribute to the development of banking finance studies and serve as practical considerations for bank management in formulating strategies to improve profitability.

Abstract

Research on firm value continues to develop in the field of financial management, but discussions that specifically examine the effects of leverage, profitability, and company growth in the property sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period still need to be strengthened. This study aims to analyze the effects of leverage, profitability, and company growth on the firm value of property sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The research sample consisted of property sector companies selected through the purposive sampling technique based on the criteria of companies consistently listed during the research period, having complete financial reports, and providing data according to the needs of the study. Data were collected through documentation study of company financial reports and were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. Before regression analysis was conducted, the data were tested through classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results show that Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Return on Assets (ROA) have negative and significant effects on Price to Book Value (PBV), whereas growth has a positive and significant effect on PBV. Simultaneously, DER, ROA, and growth have a significant effect on PBV, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 75.7%. These findings contribute to the development of capital structure theory and signaling theory in explaining firm value, while also broadening understanding of the factors that influence firm value in the property sector. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of managing capital structure, profitability, and company growth in a balanced manner in efforts to increase firm value. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the financial management literature as well as practical implications for company management and investors in decision-making.

Abstract

Sustainability reporting based on IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 has become an important issue in improving the transparency of corporate sustainability information, but studies on the readiness of LQ45 issuers through quantitative measurement of readiness scores remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effects of company size, profitability, and leverage on the readiness of LQ45 issuers to implement the IFRS S1/S2 sustainability disclosure standards. This study employed a quantitative approach with descriptive and explanatory designs. The research sample consisted of 30 LQ45 issuers selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through documentation of annual reports and sustainability reports for 2024 and were then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results show that company size and leverage have positive and significant effects on the IFRS S1/S2 readiness score, whereas profitability has no significant effect. Simultaneously, company size, profitability, and leverage have a significant effect on readiness to implement IFRS S1/S2. These findings contribute to the development of sustainability reporting literature and strengthen the relevance of legitimacy theory and stakeholder theory in explaining corporate readiness for sustainability standards. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that corporate structural capacity and external pressure are important factors in supporting readiness to implement IFRS S1/S2 among LQ45 issuers.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Indonesia still faces challenges related to gaps in digital infrastructure, technological readiness, and innovation capacity that has not yet been optimized. This study aims to analyze the role of technology and innovation in supporting the success of digital transformation and its impact on economic growth and community welfare. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach, through an analysis of 22 selected articles from 66 publications during the 2020–2024 period. The results show that technology serves as a key enabler in improving operational efficiency, accelerating cross-sector digitalization, and strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs. Innovation, particularly in business models and digital-based public services, contributes to increasing economic inclusivity and service quality. However, digital transformation still faces obstacles in the form of infrastructure inequality, low digital literacy, and resistance to change. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that the success of digital transformation in Indonesia is strongly influenced by the synergy between the use of technology and sustainable innovation. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of inclusive digital infrastructure development policies, improving public digital literacy, and adaptive innovation strategies by industry actors to promote sustainable and competitive digital economic growth.

Abstract

Marketing strategies in culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses marketing strategies in maintaining consumer loyalty based on the perspective of Islamic business management remains limited. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by Warung Joyoboyo in maintaining consumer loyalty. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research participants were consumers of Warung Joyoboyo selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that marketing strategies through the elements of the marketing mix, which include product, price, place, and promotion, play a role in shaping consumer loyalty. Product quality, affordable prices, strategic location, and word-of-mouth promotion are the main factors that encourage repeat purchases and recommendations to other consumers. However, the level of consumer loyalty shows variation influenced by individual experiences and preferences. These findings contribute to the development of marketing studies, particularly the integration of the marketing mix concept with the perspective of Islamic business management, and broaden understanding of marketing strategies in culinary MSMEs. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that the implementation of effective and ethical marketing strategies plays an important role in increasing consumer loyalty. The practical implication is that MSME actors need to maintain product quality and service consistency so that consumer loyalty can be sustained.

Abstract

Research on marketing strategies in the Islamic banking sector has become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses the gap in the use of digital marketing to increase the number of Simpanan Pelajar (SimPel) savings customers remains limited. This study aims to analyze digital marketing strategies in increasing the number of SimPel savings customers in accordance with Islamic ethics at Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Payakumbuh Sub-Branch Office. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research participants consisted of internal bank personnel and related parties selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using thematic analysis and a SWOT approach. The results show that the marketing strategies implemented are still dominated by conventional methods, while the use of digital media remains very limited, thereby affecting the low number of SimPel savings customers. In addition, although the product has advantages based on sharia principles, marketing communication has not been able to reach the target market effectively. These findings contribute to the development of digital marketing and Islamic marketing studies and broaden understanding of marketing strategies in the Islamic banking sector. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of integrating digital marketing and Islamic ethical values in improving marketing effectiveness. The practical implication is that banking institutions need to develop more innovative, ethical, and target-market-oriented digital promotion strategies for SimPel savings. Abstract

The digital marketing mix in songket businesses has become a focus in various previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses the optimization of the 7P digital marketing mix in increasing sales at the Songket AINA Silungkang business remains limited. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 7P digital marketing mix in increasing sales at the Songket AINA business in Silungkang Subdistrict, Sawahlunto City. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 11 participants selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and were then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the product and place variables have high performance, whereas promotion, process, people, price, and physical evidence are in the low category, which affects sales fluctuations throughout 2024. These findings contribute to the development of studies on the 7P marketing mix in the digital context and broaden understanding of marketing strategies in locally culture-based MSMEs. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that the integration of all elements of the digital marketing mix is important for increasing sales more stably and sustainably. The practical implication is that business actors need to optimize digital promotion, improve human resource capacity, and enhance operational processes so that marketing strategies are more adaptive to market dynamics.
