Abstract

Technology has contributed greatly to the world of education in this information age. Podcasts are an alternative learning media to support students' listening skills. In the development of ICT, Podcasts are digital recordings that contain recordings of event programs from television, radio, and interviews using the internet. This research aims to explore the use of podcasts and their effectiveness in ELT. By evaluating multiple journal articles released between 2018 and 2024, eighteen (18) papers were identified that meet the eligibility criteria for the study following the PRISMA 2020. The aim of this systematic review was to investigate the effectiveness of podcasts in English Language Teaching (ELT). The results showed that podcasts are an effective learning tool in English Language Teaching (ELT).

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role and impact of the Christian counseling approach in building harmonious family relationships. By integrating Christian values such as love, forgiveness, effective communication, and peaceful conflict resolution, this approach provides a solid framework for Christian families to enhance the quality of their relationships. The research method used is a literature review analysis, examining literature related to Christian counseling theory and family dynamics. The research findings indicate that the Christian counseling approach has a significant positive impact on strengthening the emotional and spiritual bonds among family members. Integrating Christian values into the counseling process enables families to understand and resolve conflicts in accordance with Christian teachings, as well as to build healthier and more meaningful communication. These research results have important implications for family counseling practice, highlighting the importance of considering the spiritual dimension in understanding and supporting the growth of harmonious families.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Christian counseling guidance model aimed at enhancing students' emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence has been recognized as a crucial factor in students' personal and academic success, and the Christian counseling guidance approach can significantly contribute to the holistic development of this aspect. In this study, a model is developed based on the principles of Christian theology and relevant counseling theories, with the goal of providing a solid foundation for enhancing students' emotional well-being. The research methods used include literature review, theological studies, as well as model testing and evaluation through qualitative approaches. The research findings indicate that the developed Christian counseling guidance model has great potential in strengthening students' emotional skills, improving interpersonal relationships, and enriching their spiritual dimension. The practical implications of this research lie in providing a comprehensive and meaningful framework for Christian counseling practitioners in guiding students towards balanced holistic growth. It is hoped that this research will make a valuable contribution to enriching the practice of Christian counseling guidance and enhancing students' overall quality of life.

Abstract

An attitude of tolerance is the identity of the Indonesian state which is currently not doing well. It seems that everyday life is affected by the low standards of tolerance and social care in Indonesia. Tolerance in students' lives is decreasing, as is the case in the classroom. Many behaviors that encourage tolerance now appear negative in the eyes of the school community. In this research, the author uses a qualitative approach to better understand the reality of the events being studied and facilitate objective data collection, and the research also uses descriptive methods. This research describes how teachers make efforts to instill the value of tolerance between religious communities in moral aqidah material at school. The subjects in this research are students and teachers at SMAN 1 Waru, Sidoarjo. Thus it can be seen that aqidah akhlak is a real and structured effort in preparing pupils or students to know each other, understand each other, appreciate each other and have faith in God. Almighty One and apply it into a commendable moral attitude in everyday life based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith, by going through a process of mentoring, giving lessons and exams.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the strategies used by teachers to realize the Pancasila Student Profile which is reflected in character education. The objectives of this research are: 1). know how to implement the Pancasila Student Profile, 2). knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the Pancasila Student Profile. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative which describes teachers' strategies for realizing the Pancasila Student Profile which can be reflected in character education. The data collection techniques used were observation and literature review. The results of this research are that there are 2 strategies used by teachers to realize the Pancasila Student Profile which can be reflected in the character education of students which consists of implementing P5 (Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project) and habituation activities. This topic is interesting and important because this program has great hopes in improving the character and competency skills of students in educational units in accordance with the 6 characteristics of the Pancasila student profile as follows: Faith and devotion to God Almighty and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence , creative and critical reasoning.

Abstract

The basis The foundation for children's future language proficiency and overall academic success is established through teaching English to young learners (TEYL), which is a critical aspect of primary education. This study investigates the effectiveness of Jerome Bruner's scaffolding theory in enhancing the speaking skills of primary school students. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with random sampling for pre-test and post-test assessments, the study employs a quantitative experimental methodology. The research focuses on key aspects of speaking skills: pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy. Conducted with 28 students from class 5A at SDN Karawaci Baru 2, the study applies scaffolding techniques during English language instruction to measure their impact. The results demonstrate significant improvements in the students' speaking abilities, with statistical analysis revealing a marked increase in pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy (p < 0.001). This study concludes that the scaffolding method is a valuable pedagogical approach for enhancing speaking skills in young English language learners.

Abstract

English learning relies heavily on speaking skills. However, students often face various obstacles, such as a lack of vocabulary, fear of making mistakes, and lack of confidence. This study examines the use of show-and-tell games to address these issues and improve students' speaking skills. By evaluating several journal articles published between 2018 and 2024, thirty (30) papers were identified as meeting the eligibility criteria for this study by PRISMA 2020. The results showed that the show-and-tell game effectively improved students' confidence, engagement, and comprehension skills. This activity makes learning English more fun and interactive, thus creating a more supportive and dynamic learning environment. Thus, show-and-tell games have become a very beneficial method in English learning, providing opportunities for students to learn more actively and confidently.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the use of visual media in teaching Indonesian language in elementary schools to enhance students' reading skills. The research method employed is a literature review. This study involves the collection, assessment, and interpretation of information from various relevant sources such as books, journal articles, research reports, and other published materials. The findings indicate that the use of visual media in teaching Indonesian language in elementary schools significantly improves students' reading skills, enhances students' interest in reading materials, makes texts more engaging, and facilitates understanding, particularly for early readers. Visuals help students better grasp the context of texts or stories, build clearer mental images of the content, and improve vocabulary and comprehension of difficult words or phrases. This approach also supports the development of students' visual skills, including those with special needs, creating an inclusive and supportive learning approach for all elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims first, to determine the objectives of Islamic education management. Second, to understand the management process of Islamic education in institutions, especially Islamic institutions. Third, to find out contemporary issues in Islamic education management today. This research uses a literature review method. The steps for this research are to collect literature sources that support the research, read and analyze the literature, then process the research material into a literature study. The results of this research are first, the aim of Islamic education management is to realize an effective and efficient educational process in achieving the goals of Islamic education. In general, the objectives of Islamic education management can be categorized into two, namely: 1) forming human beings, and 2) preparing generations of Muslims. Second, the Islamic education management process includes: 1) planning, 2) organization, 3) leadership, 4) control, 5) Islamic principles, namely: the principle of monotheism, the caliphate principle, the principle of ta'awun, and the principle of ihsan. Third, contemporary issues in Islamic education management include: 1) challenges of globalization, 2) quality of teaching staff or human resources, 3) changes in curriculum, 4) learning methods that have not been innovated, 5) inadequate facilities and infrastructure, 6) financial management which is not yet transparent, 7) Lack of cooperation with other parties, and 8) funding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation and interest in learning on students of Bhayangkara University, Greater Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with a focus on the population of students at the university. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis to determine the impact of these variables on student academic achievement. The findings of this study are expected to explain the relationship between learning motivation, learning interest, and academic achievement of Bhayangkara University students in Greater Jakarta.
