Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the role of Arabic language teachers through the perspective of social language at MTsN 2 Medan. The main focus of this research is to explore the changes in the role of Arabic language teachers, which previously centered solely on teaching the language as a means of religious communication, into a more comprehensive role of connecting students with the language, culture, and values of Islam in a broader context. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with Arabic language teachers, students, and management staff, as well as direct classroom observations. The results of the study show that Arabic language teachers at MTsN 2 Medan have adopted a more interactive and technology-based approach in their teaching. Teachers also play the role of facilitators, not only teaching language but also shaping students' character and social understanding through contextual and relevant learning. Additionally, the study identifies challenges faced by teachers, such as limited facilities and low student motivation towards learning Arabic. However, the transformation of the teacher's role has a positive impact on the quality of learning, enhancing students' language skills, and strengthening their understanding of Islamic values. This study is expected to provide new insights into the development of Arabic language teaching methods that are more relevant to the social and cultural developments of students in the modern era.

Abstract

Teachers and students are the main elements in the complementary educational process. The Qur'an and Hadith provide a comprehensive conceptual foundation regarding the roles, characters, and manners of both in learning. This research aims to explore the concept of teachers and students from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith, especially through the study of Surah Al-Kahfi verses 60-82 and Surah Luqman verses 13-19. The method used is content analysis with a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i). This study found that Prophet Khidir and Prophet Moses became ideal representations of teachers and students, where Prophet Khidir reflected wisdom, patience, and competence, while Prophet Moses showed tenacity, humility, and discipline in learning. In addition, Surat Luqman highlighted manners such as honesty, humility, and a sense of responsibility that teachers and students must have to create a conducive learning process. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating the values of the Qur'an and Hadith in education to form a generation with noble character and knowledge. By understanding and applying these principles, the educational process not only produces intelligent individuals, but also contributes to the social and spiritual harmony of society.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyse the role of Islamic education marketing mix in improving the image and quality of educational institutions. This research aims to explore and understand how the elements of the marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion) can be integrated effectively in the context of Islamic education, as well as its impact on public perception and the quality of education in the institution. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach at NU Al Islami Pesanggaran Junior High School to analyse the application of the marketing mix based on Islamic values. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis, then analysed thematically. Triangulation and member checking were used to ensure the validity of the data, resulting in an in-depth understanding of the school's marketing strategy.The main conclusion of this study is that NU Al Islami Pesanggaran Junior High School successfully implemented an Islamic values-based marketing mix, utilised effective promotional strategies, and provided quality facilities. This integration enhances the school's image, builds parental trust, and makes it the top choice for people who want a moral and spiritual-based education.

Abstract

The implementation of summative assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMPIT Insan Kamil Karanganyar aims to evaluate students' understanding and skills after the learning process. This study examines the methods, instruments, and results of the assessment implemented to determine its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning. The method applied is a case study, where data is collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The findings show that summative assessment not only acts as a tool to measure learning outcomes, but also as feedback for teachers and students for future improvement. Thus, a good implementation of summative assessment can contribute to improving students' spiritual, social and intellectual competencies at SMPIT Insan Kamil. This study recommends further development of assessment instruments to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

One of the goals of beginning reading is so that students can read simple words and sentences fluently and precisely. The aim of this research is: to determine the effect of the guided reading method on the beginning reading abilities of third grade students at SD YPK Alfa Omega Waisai. In this research, researchers used quantitative research. The research that will be carried out in this research is experimental research, the type of research is Quasi Experimental type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The design used in this research is "Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design". This research was carried out on 13 June – 20 June 2024. The location of this research was SD YPK ALFA OMEGA Waisai. The sample in this study was third grade , totaling 23 students as the control class third grade A and third grade B, totaling 25 students, as the experimental class. The reason was because in third grade A and third grade B, observations were made and it was found that students' initial reading abilities were not optimal. Test this hypothesis using the t-test. The t-test is used to determine whether or not there is a significant difference between the post-test results of the experimental group an d the control group. Based on the analysis results, it was obtained that ???????????????????????? = 2.067 while ????ℎ???????????????????? = 13.428. So that ????ℎ???????????????????? > ???????????????????????? and the significance value is 0.00 < 0.05. Thus, the influence of the guided reading method on the beginning reading abilities of third grade III students at SD YPK Alfa Omega Waisai.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of teaching modules in improving student competency in Christian Religious Education subjects at Palangkaraya Christian Vocational School. The teaching modules developed aim to increase students' understanding of teaching materials and facilitate more interactive and effective learning. This research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach which consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research results show that the implementation of teaching modules can increase students' understanding of Christian Religious Education material, as well as increase their learning involvement and motivation. These findings indicate that teaching modules play an important role in improving the quality of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Quasi-experimental research is a research method used to measure the effect of a particular treatment on a variable without using full subject randomization. This method is often used in situations where full control of external variables is difficult, such as in educational, social, or health settings. Quasi-experimental research designs involve a treatment group and a control group, but the subjects in both groups are not selected randomly. There are several types of designs in quasi-experiments, such as nonequivalent control group design, time series design, and pretest-posttest design. The main advantage of quasi-experiments is their flexibility in real-world situations, allowing researchers to test causal relationships in a more natural environment. However, this method has the disadvantage of potential threats to internal validity, such as selection bias and the influence of external variables. Therefore, data analysis in quasi-experiments requires special attention to control these factors, such as the use of analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) or other statistical methods. Quasi-experimental research is very relevant in developing policies or interventions that can be practically implemented in society. With a good design, this method is able to produce valid and useful findings for evidence-based decision making.

Abstract

English Character formation in early childhood at RA Madigondo, Takeran, Magetan, is significantly supported by traditional games such as gobak sodor, congklak, and engklek. These games serve not only as entertainment but also as learning tools rich in moral and social values. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection instruments. The findings reveal that traditional games foster character values such as honesty, cooperation, responsibility, sportsmanship, and independence. The interactive learning process through games also reflects the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, including critical thinking, collaboration, and global diversity. Moreover, traditional games embody elements of local wisdom that are relevant to building children's identity and cultural character from an early age. Thus, the integration of traditional games into early childhood education proves to be effective in character development and in preserving national culture.
