Abstract

In today’s era, many eldery people live alone at home, they don’t want to live in nursing home or live with their children because they feel more comfortable living in their own home. The findings of this research show that many eldery people find happiness even though they live alone at home. This research discusses eldery people who live alone at home in interpreting the meaning of happiness in their remaining years. This research uses a type qualitative research with a phenomenological approach which is carried out to understand a phenomenon with relatively similiar characteristics. Respondent involved in this research used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods used interview and observation of 3 eldery people in RT 01,RW 10, Sanan Wetan Blitar jawa Timur. The results of this research show that even though the subject are eldery and live at home alone, they feel happy because they are healthy and some are still able to earn a living, have peers, and active in social life.

Abstract

This study encourages discussion about how education should be positioned in the digital era and changing times. Researchers conducted a library survey to find several important parts in the teaching and learning process in the era of computers and the internet. In other words, the way students learn in the digital era is different from the way they learned in the past. This generation consists of individuals who have digital characteristics. Different from previous generations, students in this digital era were born and grew up with direct exposure to the digital world. Therefore, as learning partners, teachers must be able to create learning activities that enable students to obtain more information from the time they have. Combining face-to-face learning, face-to-face with technology, and information-based online learning is one way to achieve learning goals. In addition, the blended learning method has been proven to increase student satisfaction regarding learning and learning outcomes. This is because students have understood the flow of learning from the start and understand what is expected of them as well as the conditions for achieving goals and final assignments. Collaboration-based learning combines online and face-to-face learning. This means that implementation depends on technology. Schools wishing to implement this method must also have the equipment, infrastructure and financial support necessary for the technology. To utilize technology in learning activities, teachers must be able to evaluate and utilize data to improve student learning outcomes. With the blended teaching model, flexible learning really helps students because every lesson can be accessed anytime and anywhere. In addition, learning times and conditions can be adjusted to students' daily activities.

Abstract

21st century education requires students to have a variety of skills, including critical thinking. One effective learning method to improve students' critical thinking skills is Role Playing. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of applying the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This research uses library methods by collecting data from various sources such as books, scientific journals and online articles. Data were analyzed descriptively to understand the effectiveness of the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Discussion Results The Role Playing Method is a learning method that involves students in playing roles to simulate certain situations. This method has several benefits for students, including: Training students to think openly, Helping students in making decisions, Improving students' academic achievement, Helping students develop emotional intelligence, Improving students' language skills. Based on a literature review, the Role Playing method has been proven to be effective in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This method can help students to develop various important skills for the 21st century.

Abstract

This research discusses the direction of curriculum policy in elementary schools (SD) with various learning media that are in accordance with the curriculum. The independent curriculum is a new curriculum implemented in Indonesia in 2022. This curriculum gives teachers and students the freedom to learn and teach more creatively and innovatively. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study. Data is collected from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and websites. The results of the research show that the direction of the independent curriculum policy in elementary schools is focused on several things, namely: Development of students' core competencies, contextual and problem-based learning, authentic assessment, character and ethics development, parent participation in learning. Various efforts continue to be made, but it is impossible to cover up the existing problems. Several problems experienced by teachers or schools in implementing the independent learning curriculum have become new challenges for teachers in teaching.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal, 1) to find out students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 Tengguli for the 2023-2024 academic year, 2) to describe the teacher's way of overcoming students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 Tengguli for the 2023-2024 academic year, 3) determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 for the 2023-2024 academic year. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that; 1) Students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language subjects at SDN 04 Tengguli for the 2023-2024 academic year are errors in identifying letter sounds, incorrect reading direction habits, weaknesses in comprehension abilities, personal difficulties with types of reading, and weaknesses in reading speed, such as not yet fluent in reading, difficulty distinguishing letters, often halting spelling, difficulty stringing letters into words well. 2) The teacher's way of overcoming students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 Tengguli for the 2023-2024 academic year, namely selecting and determining strategies that the teacher will use to overcome reading difficulties experienced by students, selecting and determining students' learning media, select and determine teaching and learning methods and techniques that are considered to be the most effective. 3) The supporting factors and inhibiting factors for students' reading difficulties in class 2B Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 Tengguli for the 2023-2024 academic year are that adequate facilities and infrastructure tend to produce maximum reading learning and maximum understanding, and vice versa, facilities and Inadequate school infrastructure will hamper the process of learning to read at school.

Abstract

Madrasahs have a strategic role in national development. Currently, madrasah education is still considered "second class" education. This is because the implementation of madrasahs still faces a number of major problems, starting from management issues and the low quality of madrasah education. This article is intended to provide an overview of the role of madrasahs in the education system in Indonesia, madrasah problems, opportunities, and challenges for madrasahs. Madrasahs have become part of the national education system. The method used in this study is a literature study by collecting secondary data from various sources of books and journals, then conducting a descriptive analysis of the data presented in detail. Various problems faced by madrasahs include education management, the gap between state and private, the quality of madrasahs, to the opportunities and challenges for madrasahs in Indonesia today.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the public's view regarding religious education for girls, where girls still do not receive enough religious education from their parents, but only limited to lessons in public schools where religious lessons are very minimal in terms of time. The purpose of this study was to determine parents' perceptions regarding the opportunity to get religious education for girls and the religious education material taught by parents to girls. The method used is a qualitative method, the subjects of this study were parents who have children with different genders totaling 5 families. While the object of the study was the possibility of gender inequality in education in Murung Binjai, Kusambi Hulu Village. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data were created using data reduction techniques, data display and data verification. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the study can be concluded that parents who have children with female gender have provided religious education for their daughters well, according to the abilities of the parents to their daughters, the religious education material taught by parents to their daughters includes an invitation to carry out the obligation of praying 5 times a day and getting used to reciting the quran every day and the perception of parents towards religious education for daughters shows the results that parents are aware of the importance of religious education for their daughters so that they try to educate based on religious guidance and send their children to schools that have religious lessons, and the above shows that the initial assumption of this study does not apply.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the implementation of teaching staff recruitment management can improve the quality of education at SMP NU Al Islami. The methods used include conducting needs analysis, position analysis, determining the right candidate, choosing the most appropriate method, calling candidates who are deemed to meet the job requirements, selecting new teacher candidates, placing new educators, results, and supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses qualitative and descriptive methodology. Primary data from main sources and secondary data from other sources were collected. Interviews, observation, and documentation are the methods used to collect data. The research results show that the implementation of teacher recruitment management to improve the quality of education at SMP NU Al Islami is simple and friendly. One of the results achieved is a needs analysis, which evaluates the condition of the school environment and the current availability of positions. Job analysis, which determines the general requirements of prospective educators to fill needed positions, such as a bachelor's degree. Because every step has been carried out in the teaching staff recruitment management process, the results are said to be good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes in science subjects for class V students at SDS Amkur Bengkayang. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational design. The subjects of this research were 85 class V students at SDS Amkur Bengkayang. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires to measure interest in learning and tests to measure student learning outcomes. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes in science subjects for SDS Amkur Bengkayang students. Based on the results of the Pearson product moment correlation test, a correlation coefficient value of 0.65 was obtained, which means there is a moderate positive relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes. This shows that the higher the student's interest in learning, the higher the learning outcomes obtained by students in science subjects. Thus, interest in learning is an important factor that influences student learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers and schools need to pay special attention to increasing students' interest in learning through various learning strategies that are interesting and relevant to students' daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of classroom management in enhancing communicative character among third-grade students at SDN 01 Bengkayang. Based on the research findings, it was found that a supportive classroom environment, the active role of teachers in facilitating interaction, and the application of various interactive teaching methods significantly contribute to the improvement of students' communicative skills.
