Abstract

This paper aim of overcoming the weakness of students' mathematical spatial abilities in geometry. By using visual learning media, it is hoped that it can improve students' spatial abilities. As for conducting a literature review to examine how visual learning media in the form of geogebra, cabri 3D, or learning videos can improve students' spatial abilities, which are closely related to their abilities in geometry, The results of the research studies conducted are then described to present the results of implementing learning with visual media, which have an impact on increasing students' spatial abilities. By increasing students' spatial abilities, it is expected that students can fully understand geometry material. In addition, increasing students' spatial abilities is expected to foster students' motivation in learning mathematics.

Abstract

In democracy-based learning, learning systems are emphasized activities that involve all students by emphasizing creative thinking, and critical in expressing opinions, ideas, and ideas by the learning styles possessed and various intelligence of students which includes verbal, mathematical, spatial, kinesthetic, musical intelligence, interaction skills. Talking about democratic learning means what must happen is how democratic patterns are in the learning process. In other words, democratic learning is planned to learn with concepts that enable the practice of the democratic learning process to be carried out, such as providing opportunities for students to the broadest extent to learn, think, work, and let them move to develop their knowledge so that students have a great opportunity to learn the courage to open up his insight.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the condition of learning history that has been carried out so far is still very conventional with a style of learning; namely: (1) learning is still teacher centered, does not involve students, (2) the limited knowledge of history teachers in developing student-centered learning approaches and models. This study uses classroom action research, with the aim of improving student learning outcomes and teacher performance. The results of this study include; (1) The application of this questioning technique changes the process and learning outcomes, the initial conditions for learning at MAN Sengkol Pujut so far still use Teacher-centered and students are not yet as learning subjects. The results of learning history are decreasing and students' interest in learning history is low. (2) the questioning technique carried out by partner teachers, namely in the application of the types of questions made through good planning, so that the number and types of questions asked by partner teachers, from low-level and high-level questions are balanced and carried out continuously, (3) partner teachers can carry out learning with good questioning techniques, (4) able to improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen by increasing the average value of students after using the questioning technique. Thus the questioning technique can be used as an alternative in learning history to improve student learning outcomes both in the process and in the form of results or scores.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of information literacy competency of students using the MIL Concept and Application Model scheme at SMP Negeri 29 Padang. This study uses quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population of this study was students of SMP Negeri 29 Padang with a total of 288 students, while the sample used the proportion formula, namely 72 students. The instrument used in this research is test questions. To analyze the data in this study using descriptive analysis with the frequency formula. The results showed that the level of information literacy competency of students based on indicators of formulating information needs earned an average score of 80.5. The indicator of using and accessing information gets an average score of 60.6. The indicator of using information ethically gets an average score of 77.7. The indicator of using ICT (technology, information, and communication get an average score of 85.4. Overall the level of students' information literacy ability gets an average score of 76 which indicates that the level of information literacy skills of students of SMP Negeri 29 Padang is considered good.

Abstract

The philosophy of Islamic education is essentially a concept of thinking about education that is based on Islamic teachings regarding the nature of human ability to be fostered, developed and guided to become Muslim humans imbued with Islamic teachings. The similarities are that both function to develop knowledge and prepare a generation to have and play a certain role in society, so actually there are not many issues that distinguish education in general from Islamic education.

Abstract

The teacher’s efforts to overcome the saturation of studying Islamic Cultural History in students are needed so that the learning process can be carried out well and students can learn with enthusiasm and fun. Based on this statement, the focus of this study is the teacher’s efforts to address the saturation of learning Islamic cultural history at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah and its supporting and inhibiting factors. The purpose of this study was to find out the teacher’s efforts in addressing the saturation of learning the history of Islamic culture at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research used is field research and uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source for this research was one of the Islamic Cultural History subject teachers, 6 students, school principals, administrative staff, and data relating to the issues discussed. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. Then analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the teacher’s efforts to overcome the saturation of learning the history of Islamic culture to students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah were quite good by packaging learning with rewards and then also providing stimulus in the form of questions that provoke students and giving appreciation to active students. The factors that support and hinder it are: 1) The teaching experience of Islamic Cultural History teachers is long enough so that when teaching is experienced enough and it is easier to convey learning material. 2) Facilities and infrastructure at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah are sufficient for the teaching and learning process. 3) School Environment The situation and conditions at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah are not supportive because it is located close to residential areas so of course it can become an obstacle to the learning process.

Abstract

Instilling Islamic values through routine activities for female students is a good thing to do because it can form an Islamic personality. Based on this statement, the focus of the research is the inculcation of Islamic values through routine activities at the Putri Nurul Muhibbin Ilung Islamic Boarding School and the purpose of this study is to find out the inculcation of Islamic values through routine activities at the Putri Nurul Muhibbin Ilung Islamic Boarding School. The type of research used in this research is field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources for this research are religious teachers, female students, and data related to the issues discussed. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. Then analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the inculcation of Islamic values is through routine activities at the Nurul Muhibbin Ilung Islamic Boarding School which are carried out by female students from Monday to Sunday, namely five daily prayers in congregation, reading istighosah or special wirid, teaching and learning activities of book study, tadarus Al-Qur’an, mudzakarah, mutala’ah, tahlilan, recitation of maulid habsyi, reading of burdah, assembly ta'lim Wednesday afternoon and evening, mutual cooperation, and morning exercises. There are activities that are carried out regularly, especially in instilling Islamic values with the aim of forming Islamic female student habits. Instilling Islamic values through routine activities at the Nurul Muhibbin Ilung Islamic Boarding School includes the values of aqidah, shari’ah values, and moral values as a form of forming Islamic habits and personality of female students based on the Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah. So that by instilling these Islamic values, especially through routine activities, it is hoped that female students will be able to practice them and increase Islamic potential and shape female students to become human beings who believe and fear Allah SWT and have noble character.

Abstract

The teacher’s strategy in overcoming students’ difficulties in reading the Qur’an properly is highly expected, because with good/accurate strategies it will make learning interesting and fun, so that existing goals can be achieved. Based on this statement, the focus of this research is the teacher’s strategy in overcoming students’ difficulties in reading the Qur’an at MIN 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The purpose of this study was to find out the teacher’s strategy in overcoming students’ difficulties in reading the Qur’an at MIN 22 Hulu Sungai Tengah and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research used is field research and uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source for this research was one of the teachers of the Qur’an Hadith subject, 6 students, the head of the madrasa, administrative staff, and data relating to the issues discussed. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. Then analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that: 1) the learning strategy used by the Qur’an Hadith teacher in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Qur’an was an expository learning strategy, namely a strategy in which the procedure and implementation of learning activities were centered on the teacher, then a question and answer learning strategy namely the teacher can stimulate students’ way of thinking and guide them in understanding learning material, and group learning strategies, namely students are active in learning activities. 2) Supporting factors, there is an interest in learning to read the Koran and the desire to read and learn from the students themselves, as well as facilities and infrastructure that facilitate the implementation of learning. The inhibiting factor is the low interest in learning to read students which greatly influences the achievement results in a lesson and students' reading ability is classified as low, because not all students have the same level of intelligence.

Abstract

School Health Efforts are the main channel of health education in schools to improve healthy living skills and shape healthy living behaviors, which will produce optimal student health degrees. The UKS program is implemented through the TRIAS UKS program, namely health education, health services, and fostering a healthy environment. This study aims to determine the management of the UKS program in health education and to find out the obstacles in the management of the UKS program in health education at SMP Negeri 4 Tanjung. This type of research is field research with a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were UKS coaches, PMR coaches and school principals. Data collection techniques include the results of observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques by doing data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the UKS program management research in Health Education at Tanjung 4 Public Middle School have gone well with the health education program covering social service activities, classroom cleaning competitions, health education, health service skills training, school health cadre activities (little doctor, PMR, school pickets) and healthy school competitions. In planning the UKS program in health education, all members of the school are involved, meaning this is not the task of the UKS coordinator, but there are other parties involved, such as the education office, the nearest health center, subdistrict, and the service for women's empowerment and child protection, population control and family planning who assist in that matter. Organizing this in accordance with decisions that have been determined jointly in the meeting forum according to the respective coordinators. Controlling all these activities is carried out every 3 months or at the beginning of the learning year according to the time available. Whereas the obstacles in the management of the UKS Program in Health Education at Tanjung 4 Public Middle School are the UKS rooms and the limited land and school funding to make it.
