Abstract

South Kalimantan is a wetland area that has a high level of biodiversity, both plants and animals, which can be used as raw materials for herbal products. The herbal medicine company Pucuk Sirih is a Traditional Medicine Small Business which is located in selling various herbal products. PJ Pucuk Sirih wants to develop and innovate products, packaging and marketing systems because since the first production there has been no change in product, packaging and marketing system development. The new product formula, namely Harbumin Capsules (haruan fish capsules) has not yet produced good product quality, this is indicated by the wet capsule products after the production process so it is necessary to evaluate the product formula. The purpose of this community service is to provide training on production and packaging methods in accordance with CPOTB, evaluate the Harbumin capsule formula, produce a digitalized marketing system with website development. The result of the activity is that the production team gains knowledge regarding good production and packaging methods, the results of the evaluation of Harbumin capsule products show that the capsules have met the requirements, the marketing and sales system has been digitized and can be obtained online

Abstract

The most effective thing in preventing the spread of COVID-19 is to increase our body's resistance from within by drinking herbs or traditional ingredients that have been trusted from ancient times. This is not a mere superstition or belief, in fact this has been done since the time of the ancestors. Maintaining health must start from the inside first. And it all starts from our stomach. The purpose of this Community Service is to provide counseling and training on how to make herbal ingredients or herbal drinks in accordance with pharmacognosy theory and ingredients originating from the Ministry of Health. The method used is lectures and discussions to provide an understanding of how to make herbal ingredients correctly as well as simulations and demonstrations by providing skills about making and storing herbal ingredients. Community service can be carried out with permission from the village with 1 counseling activity and skills provision. Counseling on the socialization of herbal ingredients from the Ministry of Health which was presented using LCD media and pamphlets and training on making herbal or herbal drinks were carried out by direct practice.

Abstract

Knowledge of medicine is a must for all levels of society. DAGUSIBU is one of those attempts to increase public knowledge in using and managing drugs amidst the widespread of counterfeit drugs and drugs abuse. The purpose of this community service is to provide DAGUSIBU counseling to the community, especially PKK in the Karangrejo Sub-district, Magetan Regency. This counseling is expected to increase knowledge of the use of drugs. Participants in this counseling were given material about DAGUSIBU directly and supported by teaching aids in the form of medicine as an example of the application of DAGUSIBU in active discussion. The result achieved is the increase in this counseling participants about drugs through DAGUSIBU by 44.31% from 46.27 to 90.59 forming DAGUSIBU cadres in the community. Therefore, this counseling needs to be continued to improve cadres as quality information agents to the general public, especially in the Karangrejo Sub-district, Magetan Regency.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the main causes of complications of cardiovascular disease. The success of therapy is influenced by adherence to hypertension therapy. Knowledge related to hypertension includes the definition of hypertension, medication, food that can be consumed, and medication adherence with taking medication, which are the main and important things in controlling blood pressure. Based on this background, community service was carried out related to counseling on increasing public knowledge about hypertension. This counseling is carried out online because it is related to Covid 19, which is carried out on students and some of the general public. After statistical analysis, online counseling related to hypertension knowledge can increase knowledge which is measured using the HKLS (Hypertension Knowledge Level Scale) questionnaire instrument, with P value < 0.05 (statistically significant). The hypertension knowledge score from the HKLS questionnaire increased after being given counseling.

Abstract

Compliance with implementing health protocols continues to decrease in the Pandemic era that is not over. Data on COVID-19 sufferers as of July 2021 shows a significant increase from the previous day in both active cases and death cases. The distribution of close contact rates increases significantly. This allows COVID-19 transmission to improve a massive in a few months. This service activity is to increase public knowledge about the disease and the prevention of Covid-19 diseases accompanied by education and the distribution of masks aimed at helping the community increase compliance to participate in preventing COVID-19 transmission actively. The socialization method remembers the message of this 3 M mother with the distribution of leaflets and masks accompanied by education to visitors. Before and after education, visitors are given a pre-post test sheet to measure visitors understanding. The pre-test average knowledge/ ability of participants was 49.9%, and at the end of the session, there was an increase indicated by the post-test result of 58.32%.

Abstract

An emergency is an event that occurs suddenly, resulting in a person requiring immediate and appropriate treatment and assistance. Everyone needs first aid knowledge and skills. Emergency First Aid (PPGD) requires assistance and initial treatment that can be carried out by ordinary people, including students of SMK Pharmacy Kapasari Surabaya. The target of this activity is class XII SMK students consisting of 29 students. The purpose of organizing this educational activity is to strengthen skills so that participants receive provisions that can be applied to the community. This counseling will be held on May 18, 2022, located at Graha Ilmu, Jl. Intermediate Potato No. 81. Service activities use simulation and role play methods as well as discussions to increase knowledge about the material. Community service activities produce changes that are in accordance with the output targets, namely increasing students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills about First Aid with CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or Basic Life Support, fractures, burns, choking and electric shock.

Abstract

People with diabetes who join the Indonesian Diabetes Association (PERSADIA) Semarang have around 150 members and many activities are carried out with the aim of controlling the condition of disease disorders due to Diabetes Mellitus (DM), activities in the form of joint gymnastics and training activities. Since the COVID19 pandemic occurred, all activities havebeen stopped because people with DM are a vulnerable population to be affected by COVID. Many DM sufferers even contracted COVID and had to do ISOMAN so they were constrained not being able to do a blood glucose examination. Purpose: to provide knowledge and monitoring blood glucose levels using a glucometer so can increase knowledge by practicing at home. Implementation are data collection of PERSADIA members, preparation of materials, implementation and documentation of activities and reports. The material presented is monitoring blood glucose levels independently with a glucometer. Documentation of activities is carried out in the form of photos of activities and reports which are one of the evidence of the implementation that has been carried out The conclusion that the service activities providing training on monitoring blood glucose levels in DM patients with a glucometer device who are self-isolating members of Persadia Semarang an increase knowledge so that patients practice at home.Keywords: checks blood glucose, PERSADIA, training

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs used by doctors for the treatment of infections caused by microbes such as bacteria. Problems arise in the use of antibiotics that are not correct. Inappropriate use of antibiotics. The use of antibiotics that do not kill bacteria so that bacteria are resistant and antibiotic treatment does not work. The purpose of this community service is to remind you of the correct use of drugs and the consequences if antibiotic treatment is not correct. The method used is a lecture about antibiotics and infectious diseases that often occur in the community. The result of this service is that knowledge about antibiotic drugs and how to use them by Aisyah's caretakers is getting better which is reinforced by a high posttest score compared to the pretest value. The conclusion of the community service to the management of Aisyah's mothers is that their knowledge of antibiotics is getting better and those who have forgotten are reminded of their knowledge of antibiotics and their use.

Abstract

The first 1000 days are a golden period in a child's development. Several studies have stated that stunting can be prevented by paying attention to the first 1000 days of life, including during pregnancy. This service is carried out to increase mother's knowledge regarding stunting prevention since pregnancy at Puri Bunda Tabanan General Hospital on October 23, 2022 as a form of collaboration with STIKES Advaita Medika Tabanan in accelerating the reduction of stunting in Tabanan in particular and Indonesia in general. After education about stunting was conducted, mothers who attended the educational activities were committed to improving nutritional intake and maintaining physical and mental health of mothers during pregnancy so that later they could give birth to a physically and mentally healthy generation and avoid the risk of stunting or failure to thrive

Abstract

Medicinal plants can be used as raw materials for herbal medicine. Medicinal plants can grow freely anywhere. One of the villages that has extensive agricultural land and a lot of agricultural products, including abundant local plants, is Surat Village, Mojo District. Surat Village is one of the villages located in Mojo District, Kediri Regency, most of the people in Surat Village have knowledge about the potential of local plants in this village. The purpose of this socialization is to educate villagers about the potential of local plants to be developed into herbal medicineThe implementation of this socialization activity consists of three methods such as; observation, socialization, and demonstration of how to make herbal medicine, the herbal medicine made is ''jamu ginger fragrant'' based on the socialization activity, many villagers enthusiastically participated in the activity, there were some people who were interested in using local plants to make herbal medicine, and all the spectators can understand how to make healthy drinks or ginger-based herbs The final result of this socialization, it can be concluded that the socialization of how to make fragrant ginger herbs from local plants in Surat Village was a success, the villagers were very enthusiastic, and the audience knew how to make fragrant ginger herbs. This socialization is expected to increase the community's ability to understand how herbal medicine is produced from medicinal plants in Surat village.
