Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are plants that are very efficacious, especially in the health sector. Based on data collection on disease complaints experienced by the community in Gudang Hirang Village Rt 07, 50% stated that they had hypertension and 33% suffered from cholesterol. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge to the people of Gudang Hirang Village Rt 07 about the types of family medicinal plants that can be used to control hypertension and cholesterol. The cadre of TOGA planting was carried out to the community by using ginger and celery plants. Ginger plants have many benefits, especially overcoming hypertension and strengthening the human immune system. While celery can be efficacious as a cholesterol treatment because it can reduce total cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemia. The method used is a direct training method where the target is community representatives of Gudang Hirang Village Rt 07. The results of the activity show very high enthusiasm of cadres in increasing knowledge about the treatment of hypertension and cholesterol using medicinal plants ginger and celery. Thus, it is hoped that the education provided can be applied as an alternative to overcome public health problems.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition in which there is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements, and a decrease in the consistency (mass) of feces. Pasar Kemis Village is located in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province, which still uses latrines on the banks of the river to defecate. Experiential methods are training methods that prioritize flexible and dynamic communication using visual aids or videos that can be used as educational methods. The purpose of the activity is to increase the knowledge of PKK mothers in the prevention and treatment of diarrhea in children. Community service activities began with the socialization of activities to the Village Head and PKK mothers, pretests on knowledge related to diarrhea in children, delivery of material using experiential methods, question and answer discussions, and evaluation of activities using questionnaires. The results of the implementation of community service in Pasar Kemis Village, Kertak Hanyar District, Banjar Regency using experiential methods showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of PKK mothers about the prevention and treatment of diarrhea in children from 55.43% to 86.62%..

Abstract

One of the home industries located in Martapura, Banjar Regency, is a tofu factory. The raw material for making tofu is soybean seeds which are processed so that the main product is tofu. In addition to producing tofu, the factory also produces by-products in the form of liquid waste and solid waste. So far, liquid waste is not used, but solid waste is used as animal feed. For this reason, in the application of science and technology, skills are given in the form of training to utilize liquid waste from the tofu industry into a new product, namely Nata de Soya. Nata de Soya is a highly nutritious food product, especially in the content of carbohydrates, protein and crude fiber. The methods used in this training are lectures and demonstrations. The purpose of this program is to add insight and skills to tofu industry players and the community, especially around the factory in processing liquid waste into Nata de Soya products. The results of this study increased public knowledge about the consequences of improper waste disposal and processing as well as increased knowledge of fermentation technology products and even succeeded in utilizing the tofu industrial liquid waste into processed fermented food in the form of Nata de Soya.

Abstract

Almost 80% of screening for developmental delays is carried out in the Puskesmas area of ??North Banjarmasin District, which is carried out by health workers at the time of the toddler's to get immunizations and the rest is obtained at the posyandu based on oral information from health cadres and is already in a state of deviation. This also happens in PAUD, the teacher will report a developmental delay if the child has experienced developmental deviations. This situation shows that health cadres and PAUD teachers need additional information on how to carry out early detection of under-five development using KPSP. Objectives To provide training on how to fill out the KPSP booklet for health cadres and PAUD teachers and to practice how to assess child development according to age using the KPSP booklet for health cadres and Kindergarten teachers. The method used is counseling and the practice of using booklets. The results of community service were found that most of them had less knowledge before health education, and most of them had good knowledge after being given health education. The evaluation of early detection of development using the KPSP Booklet is mostly in the advanced category as many as 73.3%.

Abstract

Optimizing coffee products with herbs is part of applying science to social life. Coffee products with herbs aim to maintain endurance during the pandemic and help improve the economic level of the community. The implementation method is by conducting socialization, development training and education for a massive and effective marketing strategy. This activity targets MSMEs in the Kemuning village which was attended by 20 groups of participants. Participants benefit from this training because they can do promotions with better and more targeted photos of product results so that they can attract more buyers' interest. The conclusion of this activity is the need for an active role from academics to channel their expertise, knowledge and ideas to help the community survive and develop, especially in the current pandemic era.

Abstract

Washing hands as often as possible and in the 6 (six) steps of washing hands in children is one of the most important steps to prevent Covid-19 infection in children. Washing hands with soap is much more effective in killing germs, bacteria and viruses than washing hands with water alone. Soap can easily destroy the lipid membrane of Covid-19, rendering the Covid-19 virus inactive. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge of elementary school students, in the socialization of 6 (six) steps to wash hands for elementary school children during the Covid-19 pandemic at MI Al-Badariah, Tatah Layap Village. The activities carried out were in the form of health education about hand washing in 6 (six) steps, the benefits of washing hands, and demonstrations about washing hands in 6 steps by elementary school students grades 1-6 at MI Al-Badariah. The activity has been carried out on December 2, 2021, from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB. The results of community service were obtained by increasing children's knowledge regarding the 6 (six) steps of proper hand washing.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which results in an increase in morbidity (morbidity) and death (mortality). Hypertension in the elderly is mostly isolated systolic hypertension (HST), increasing systolic pressure causes a high probability of stroke even though the diastolic pressure is within normal limits. The purpose of the activity is to provide Counseling and Counseling on Vegetables and Fruits for the Prevention of Hypertension in the Elderly in the Working Area of ??the Astambul Martapura Community Health Center. The activity method uses group education methods in the form of counseling and individual (individual) approaches with counseling so that contact between the elderly and officers is more intensive The results of the activity did not show a significant change in the pattern of eating vegetables and fruit after 1, 2, and 3 months of counseling and counseling, while there was a significant change in blood pressure after 1, 2, and 3 months of counseling and counseling.

Abstract

The most effective thing in preventing the spread of COVID-19 is to increase our body's resistance from within by drinking herbs or traditional ingredients that have been trusted from ancient times. This is not a mere superstition or belief, in fact this has been done since the time of the ancestors. Maintaining health must start from the inside first. And it all starts from our stomach. The purpose of this Community Service is to provide counseling and training on how to make herbal ingredients or herbal drinks in accordance with pharmacognosy theory and ingredients originating from the Ministry of Health. The method used is lectures and discussions to provide an understanding of how to make herbal ingredients correctly as well as simulations and demonstrations by providing skills about making and storing herbal ingredients. Community service can be carried out with permission from the village with 1 counseling activity and skills provision. Counseling on the socialization of herbal ingredients from the Ministry of Health which was presented using LCD media and pamphlets and training on making herbal or herbal drinks were carried out by direct practice.

Abstract

The knowledge of the community, especially yaoung people who are not yet qualified for chemicals and how process the, has closed business opportunitiesin Maguwo, Banguntapan, bantul. One of product that is easy to process, useful and needed for routine household is dish soap. Thi service aims to provide knowledge and sklills in processing chemicals through training activities in making dishwashing soap and morivating young people to be interested in having a career as entrepreneurs. Service activities are carried out with the trainingmethod that begins a pretest, providing a brief explanation regarding the formula and the function of the ingredients in the formula, manufacturing practice, and evaluation. The dish soap formula used is texapon, NaCl, sodium sulfate, antibacterial agent, lemon fragrance, green dye, and water. Thirty liters of dish soap made during the event. Traning evaluation is carried out to determine the success of the activity. The result is an increased in participants’ knowledge of 55%. Training activities as a from of community service helped participants in understanding and applying of the ingredients and knowing the functions of the ingredients in the dish soap formula

Abstract

Knowledge of medicine is a must for all levels of society. DAGUSIBU is one of those attempts to increase public knowledge in using and managing drugs amidst the widespread of counterfeit drugs and drugs abuse. The purpose of this community service is to provide DAGUSIBU counseling to the community, especially PKK in the Karangrejo Sub-district, Magetan Regency. This counseling is expected to increase knowledge of the use of drugs. Participants in this counseling were given material about DAGUSIBU directly and supported by teaching aids in the form of medicine as an example of the application of DAGUSIBU in active discussion. The result achieved is the increase in this counseling participants about drugs through DAGUSIBU by 44.31% from 46.27 to 90.59 forming DAGUSIBU cadres in the community. Therefore, this counseling needs to be continued to improve cadres as quality information agents to the general public, especially in the Karangrejo Sub-district, Magetan Regency.
