Abstract

South Kalimantan is a wetland area that has a high level of biodiversity, both plants and animals, which can be used as raw materials for herbal products. The herbal medicine company Pucuk Sirih is a Traditional Medicine Small Business which is located in selling various herbal products. PJ Pucuk Sirih wants to develop and innovate products, packaging and marketing systems because since the first production there has been no change in product, packaging and marketing system development. The new product formula, namely Harbumin Capsules (haruan fish capsules) has not yet produced good product quality, this is indicated by the wet capsule products after the production process so it is necessary to evaluate the product formula. The purpose of this community service is to provide training on production and packaging methods in accordance with CPOTB, evaluate the Harbumin capsule formula, produce a digitalized marketing system with website development. The result of the activity is that the production team gains knowledge regarding good production and packaging methods, the results of the evaluation of Harbumin capsule products show that the capsules have met the requirements, the marketing and sales system has been digitized and can be obtained online

Abstract

One of the diseases commonly found in the community, especially those aged > 40 years, is high cholesterol. This type of disease is a chronic disease that is closely related to people's diet and lifestyle. High cholesterol is also commonly found in children and adolescents with excess body weight. Excessive cholesterol levels can cause plaque that clogs arteries and can cause heart attacks or atherosclerosis which will trigger stroke (Abidi et al., 2006). Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) is currently one of the health problems of national and global concern, the increase in PTM is closely related to the consumption of foods containing high cholesterol. In order to improve the quality of health, we make efforts to prevent cholesterol. This activity was carried out in collaboration with partners in Petukangan Village, Wiradesa District, Pekalongan Regency. The activities carried out are periodic cholesterol checks and deliver material about cholesterol, namely about the causes of cholesterol, prevention, and cholesterol phytotherapy. Before delivering the material, participants were given a pre-test with an average score of 6.4. After delivering the material, the participants did a post-test with an average score of 9.6. The result of this activity is an increase in public knowledge about cholesterol by 33,3 %. Participants understand more about the causes of cholesterol and can use herbal plants to prevent and treat cholesterol.

Abstract

Circumcision in Indonesian is known as circumcision or chopsticks which is the guidance of Islamic law for men and women. This study was conducted to determine the knowledge of parents about personal hygiene post circumcision in preschool children. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic. The results obtained based on 52 parents who filled out the questionnaire showed that as many as 42 people had good educational outcomes (80.8%) and as many as 10 people (19.2%) had poor educational outcomes. The conclusion in this study is that parents of preschool children who do circumcision really need to get education about personal hygiene that arises after circumcision is an action to prevent infection and other things that are not expected.

Abstract

Pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya pemuda yang belum mumpuni terhadap bahan kimia dan cara pengolahannya telah membuat tertutupnya peluangbisnis di Maguwo, Banguntapan, Bantul. Salah satu produk yang mudah diolah,bermanfaat dan dibutuhkan untuk kebutuhan rutin rumah tangga adalah sabun cucipiring. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilanmengolah bahan kimia melalui kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci piring danmemotivasi pemuda untuk tertari berkaris sebagai wirausaha. Kegiatan pengabdiandilakukan dengan metode pelatihan yang diawali dengan pretest, memberikanpenjelasan singkat terkait formula beserta fungsi bahan dalam formula, praktekpembuatan, dan evaluasi. Formula sabun cuci piring yang digunakan adalahtexapon, NaCl, sodium sulfat, agen antibakteri, pewangi lemon, pewarna hijau, danair. Sabun cuci piring yang dibuat selama acara sebanyak 30 L. Evaluasi pelatihandilakukan guna menentunkan keberhasilan kegiatan. Hasilnya terdapat peningkatanpengetahuan peserta sebanyak 55%. Kegiatan pelatihan sebagai bentuk pengabdiankepada masyarakat sangat membantu peserta dalam memahami danmengaplikasikan langkah-langkah dalam membuat sabun cuci piring serta mengetahuifungsi dari bahan-bahan yang terdapat dalam formula sabun cuci piring.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where the pressure exceeds the normal limit. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can be a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. High blood pressure is still a dominant health problem and requires a good treatment. Counseling to the community of Ledok Timoho village, Muja Muju Umbulharjo Village, Yogyakarta on how to prevent and control hypertension and improve it. The method of activity used in this community service is in the form of counseling on the prevention and control of hypertension, followed by a question and answer discussion, and evaluation of activities using a questionnaire. The results of the implementation of community service showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of PKK mothers about the prevention and control of hypertension in the community from 86.30% to 100%.

Abstract

Onion skin waste is one of the problems in Pejangkungan Village, Prambon District, Sidoarjo Regency. Therefore, we carry out community service activities with the aim of providing education and skills to the Pejangkungan Village Community, especially the PKK women's group, to process onion skin waste into environmentally friendly dish soap. The method implemented in this activity is through an outreach program about the benefits of shallot skins and workshops for the Pejangkungan Village PKK group regarding the processing of shallot skin waste into environmentally friendly dish soap. The conclusion of this activity is being able to provide information to the public regarding the processing of shallot skin waste into environmentally friendly dish soap from ingredients that are easily available and can be used immediately.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis whichgenerally attacks the lungs but can also attack other organs of the body. InIndonesia prevalence of tuberculosis cases is increasing every year, one of theprevention efforts that must be carried out is by providing correct information sothat healthy living behaviors can be implemented in everyday life. Objective : toprovide health education about tuberculosis prevention. Method : This serviceactivity is carried out using the lecture and discussion method which is carried outin the Ifad building, Togolobe Village with the target of the general public.Participants attended were 21 people, 8 men and 13 women. Result : there was anincrease in participants' knowledge with an average post-test score higher than thepre-test. Conclusion: there was an increase in knowledge about tuberculosisprevention in the community Togolobe Village

Abstract

The family is the most important part in the recovery process in patients withmental disorders. The family plays a role in carrying out care at home, providingmental support, economics and other needs needed by other family members whoexperience mental disorders. The successful recovery of people with mentaldisorders (ODGJ) depends on the care and ability of the family to provideappropriate assistance. Based on the results of Iskandar et al's research (2022) atthe Sukamerang Health Center, Garut Regency, it was stated that the function ofthe family in maintaining the health of a family member who has a mentaldisorder is not supportive. Therefore, sufficient knowledge and skills are neededin managing the dynamics of family psychology while providing assistance. forODGJ. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge andmentality of the ODGJ family. The method used is pre and post tests related to the material then followed by the lecture method related to mental disorders material,ways of accompaniment, how to communicate with ODGJ, managing stress andhow to deal with stigma about ODGJ. The results of this community service arean increase in knowledge before and after counseling. It is hoped that thiscommunity service will increase the knowledge and mentality of the family incaring for family members who have mental disorders

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease which ranks second as the cause of death in the infectious disease class after infection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Countries contributing to the largest cases of tuberculosis starting from the highest order are India, Indonesia, China, the Philippines and Pakistan. East Java is in second place after West Java Province. Sumenep Regency, ranks first in East Java Province in 2019. Sumenep Regency, has 126 islands, of which 48 islands are inhabited by the community. In mainland Sumenep, the most cases of pulmonary tuberculosis are located in Bluto District, one of the endemic areas. Therefore, community service by a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, Surabaya was carried out in Bluto District, Sumenep Regency. This targets four categories of Sustainable Development Goals, namely Good health and well-being; Quality education; Peace, justice and strong institutions; and Partnership for the goals. Besides that, this community service targets achievement on Key Performance Indicators 2, 3, 5 and 7. The four KPIs characterize off-campus activities and involvement with the community. Therefore, this community service formulates a comprehensive and systematic approach in responding to problems related to the TB infectious disease. The community service was carried out for two days, namely on Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11 2022 at Kampung Negara, Bungbungan Village, Bluto District, Sumenep Regency. The participants in this first year were farmer groups and health center staff, as well as pharmacists who practice in various health facilities serving TB patients. From the results of the evaluation through a questionnaire with statistical analysis, and the results of the discussion it can be concluded that this counseling is very useful for participants according to their confession and can increase participants' understanding of TB disease, its treatment and prevention.

Abstract

Skabies merupakan salah satu jenis penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh tungau (kutu kecil) Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis dengan jumlah kasus mencapai 300 juta per tahun di seluruh dunia. Pondok Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menyediakan fasilitas asrama sangat memungkinkan penghuninya rentan tertular penyakit ini dikarenakan pemakaian secara bersama, Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan di Dayah Putri Hidayatullah Lhoknga Aceh Besar yang diikuti oleh 50 orang peserta. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan santriwati mengenai penyakit skabies serta pengenalan tanaman herbal yang dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pengobatan skabies. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan, pemaparan dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan sambutan dan antusiasme dari peserta yang ditandai dengan tingkat kepuasan peserta sebesar 86,5%. Adapun tingkat pengetahuan santriwati tentang penyakit skabies sebesar 100% dan tanaman herbal sebagai alternatif pengobatan skabies sebesar 34,5 %. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan santriwati Dayah Putri Hidayatullah Lhoknga Aceh Besar tentang penyakit skabies sudah sangat baik, akan tetapi pengetahuan tentang tanaman herbal sebagai obat skabies masih sangat rendah.
