Abstract

AbstractBambu merupakan tumbuhan yang termasuk dalam subfamilia Bambusoidae dari familia Poaceae. Keanekaragaman Bambu di dunia tergolong tinggi, dengan pemanfaatannya yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman bambu berdasarkan karakter morfologi dan pemanfaatannya di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di beberapa wilayah di Kabupaten Banyumas dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu morfologi dan bagian bambu yang dimanfaatkan dengan parameter yang diamati yaitu karakter morfologi akar, batang/buluh dan daun bambu serta pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman, hubungan kemiripan dianalisa dengan menggunakan Software MEGA 6.0 metode Unweight Pair Group Method Arithmatic Average (UPGMA), pemanfaatan bambu dianalisa secara deskriptif berdasarkan hasil wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat 6 spesies dengan 2 varietas bambu yaitu yaitu Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. Ex Wendl. var. vulgaris (Bambu Ampel), Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. Ex Wendl. var. striata (Bambu kuning), Bambusa multiplex (Lour.) Raeusch. ex J. A. J. H. Schult (Bambu cina/cendani/gendani), Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.) Backer ex Heyne (Bambu Petung), Gigantochloa atter (Hassk.) Kurz (Bambu asak/ater), Gigantochloa apus (J.A. J. H Schult.) Kurz (Bambu Tali) dan Gigantochloa atroviolacea Widjaja (Bambu Wulung/Ireng). Hubungan kemiripan terdekat dimiliki oleh G. apus dan G. atroviolacea dengan nilai disimilaritas 0,11. Hubungan kemiripan terjauh dimiliki oleh B. vulgaris var. vulgaris dengan D. asper dengan nilai disimilaritas 2,19. Masyarakat di Kabupaten Banyumas memanfaatkan bambu sebagai buluhnya bahan bangunan dan kerajinan serta rebung dan daunnya untuk konsumsi. Kata kunci : Agroekonomi, Bambu, Banyumas, Keanekaragaman.

Abstract

Orchid propagation requires special media to optimize growth. The high selling price and complexity of making the media has resulted in household scale cultivators finding it difficult, so alternative media innovations have emerged that are cheaper and easier to make. The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of modified MS media formulation on the growth of moon orchid seeds (Phalaenopsis amabilis [L.] Blume). This research was carried out at the Salaman Horticultural Seed Garden Laboratory. This research used a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 replications. Treatment consisted of P0 = control, P1 = MS, P2 = ½MS, P3 = Modified MS, and P4 = ½ Modified MS. The results of the research showed that the media formulation had an effect on the parameters that started to change seed color, the percentage of seeds that germinated, and the number of seeds that grew into protocorms bottle.Keywordss: in vitro culture, media formulation, orchid, phalaenopsis.

Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is type of fruit vegetable that is widely consumed by the people of Indonesia. Cucumber cultivation is still not intensive, that is many farmers do not do pruning and use inappropriate doses of fertilizers, so it is necessary to improve cultivation techniques through proper pruning and fertilization. This purpose of this study is to determine the effect of pruning time and dose of potassium fertilizers on cucumber crop yields. The research was carried out from January 9 to March 18, 2022 in Ngencek, Kalikuto, Grabag, Magelang, with an altitude of 510 m asl. The method of the research was factorial arranged in a completely randomized complete block design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor is pruning time of 21 hst and 28 hst. The second factor is the dose of potassium fertilizers consisting of 0 kg/ha, 80 kg/ha, 160 kg/ha, and 240 kg/ha. The results showed that the pruning time of 21 days after planting had a significant effect on the flowering age of cucumber plants. Different doses of potassium fertilizers had no effect on plant length, flowering age, number of fruit per plant, weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit volume. There was no interaction between pruning time and the dose of potassium fertilizers given.Keywords: Cucumis sativus L., doses, potassium fertilizers, pruning time.

Abstract

Research is about Acclimatization of Dendrobium Tiara Beauty’s Orchid Imelda Marina to nano nutrient and AB mix fertilizer concentration was carried out from June to July 2022 at the Nambangan Orchid Garden, Sidomulyo Village, Candimulyo District, Mageang Regency, Central Java. The research method used a factorial experiment (5x2) arranged in a complete randomized lock design with 4 blocks. The first factor is the type of fertilizer (P) including P1 = AB mix fertilizer P2 = nano nutrients fertilizer while the second factor is the fertilizer concentration (C) with a level of D0 = 0 ml/l, D1 = 0,5ml/l, D3 = 1,5 ml/l, D4 = 2,0 ml/l. The type of fertilizer has a significant effect on the increase in the number of leaves, leaf width, increase in stm height, leaf length, addition of stem diameter, and addition of new shoots but has no effect on the chlorophyll cntent parameter. The concentration of fertilizer has a significat effect on the parameters of the addition of stem diameter, addition of stem height, leaf length, addition of new shoots. Concentration of 1-2 ml/l gave the best rsults on the parameters of stem height, leaf length, addition of stem diameter and addition of new shoos of Dendroium orchids. The interaction vetween the type of fertilizer and the concentration of fertilizer has a significant effect on the addition of stem diameter and the parametes of incresiang stem height. Keywords: Dendrobium orvhids, concentration of fertilizers and types of fertilizers.

Abstract

Propagation of vanilla plants can be done vegetatively by cuttings. The problem faced was the length of root and shoot growth on cuttings which can be accelerated by giving MSG. Fulfillment of nutrient needs to support the growth of cuttings can be provided through fertilization. This study was conducted to determine the effect of MSG application and type of fertilizer on the growth of vanilla cuttings (Vanilla planifolia Andrews) of one segment of the Vania 1 variety. The research was carried out from January to May 2022 at The Santan vanilla plantation, Karang Tengah, Sumberrejo, Mertoyudan, Magelang Regency. The study was arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with two factors and four replications. The first factor was the concentration of MSG, consisting of four concentrations: 0 ppm, 3000 ppm, 6000 ppm, and 9000 ppm. The second factor was the type of fertilizer, consisting of cow manure and NPK fertilizer. Variables observed included shoot emergence, shoot length, number of leaves, longest root length, number of roots, and percentage of live cuttings. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that mid-base cuttings had a higher survival value than shoot cuttings. MSG concentration had no significant effect on all parameters. The type of fertilizer did not significantly affect all parameters. There was no interaction between MSG concentration and the type of fertilizer on all parameters.Keywords: MSG, cow manure, NPK fertilizer, vanilla cuttings, Vania 1.

Abstract

Anthracnose is a disease that often found in chilli plants caused by Colletotrichum sp. This research aims to examine seed treatment and mulch type on their ability to suppress anthracnose disease in chilli plants (Capsicum frutescens L.). The research was conducted in Walitelon Selatan Village, Temanggung District, Temanggung Regency at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level with alfisol soil type. This research was structured using a complete randomized block design with two treatment factors and 3 replications as blocks. The first factor, seed treatment, soaking with plain water (P1) and soaking with T. harzianum L. (P2). The second factor is the treatment of different types of mulch (M1) without mulch, (M2) rice straw mulch, (M3) silver-black plastik mulch, (M4) bamboo leaf litter mulch. The results showed that soaking seeds using T. harzianum L. (P2) had a significant effect in reducing the incidence of anthracnose disease and the percentage of diseased fruits. The use of black silver plastic mulch (M3) has a significant effect on plant height, healthy fruit weight, incidence of anthracnose disease, percentage of diseased fruit, and percentage of healthy fruit. The interaction of seed soaking using water and black silver black plastic mulch (P1M3) has a significant effect on fruit weight and percentage of healthy fruit. The conclusion is T. harzianum L. and black silver plastic mulch can reduce anthracnose disease.

Abstract

A fungus called mycorrhiza may coexist harmoniously with plants. The goal of this study is to ascertain how five different mycorrhizal concentrations affect the yield and growth of ground kale.The five-block, completely randomized block design (RAKL), non-factorial experiment that was used for this study was carried out from May to June 2022. In terms of plant height, number of branches, fresh weight consumed, dried weight consumed, and root length, the results showed that the usage of five mycorrhizal concentrations did not significantly differ, but there was a considerable difference in the number of leaves produced by each plant. Giving mycorrhizal concentrations could enhance the number of leaves on water spinach, but it could not improve plant height, number of branches, fresh weight for consumption, dried weight for consumption, or root length (Ipomea reptans Poir).Keywords Kale (Ipomea reptans Poir), mycorrhizal, growth

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vegetable insecticide formulations from suren leaf and neem leaf and the concentration of insecticides on the mortality of S. litura larvae. The study was arranged factorially (3x5) with a complete randomised design consisting of 4 replications. The first factor was an insecticide formulation consisting of 3 types, including neem leaf (A. indica), suren leaf (T. sureni), and a combination of neem leaf and suren leaf.The second factor is the concentration of insecticides, each being 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The observation parameters used were the characteristics of death, mortality rate, and total mortality of larvae. The highest mortality rate and total mortality of 100% was found in the combined insecticide treatment at 75% and 100% concentration with a mortality rate of 2.47 larvae/day and 2.37 larvae/day.

Abstract

Red chili production in Indonesia has decreased, one of the efforts to increase red chili production is through fertilization techniques. Research on the effect of inorganic fertilizers and liquid organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of red curly chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) was carried out in August-December 2022 in the experimental field of Tamping Winarno Village, Sukorejo District, Kendal Regency. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of giving inorganic and liquid organic fertilizer concentrations and their combinations on the growth and yield of curly red chili (Capsicum annuum L.). The research method used was arranged in a completely randomized block design (RCBD) with 2 factorial. The first treatment was : concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (N0 = 0 ml, N1 = 10 ml, N2 = 20 ml). The second treatment was: concentration of AB mix fertilizer (P1=1 ppm, P2 = 2 ppm, P3 = 3 ppm). The results of the analysis showed that the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of 10 ml gave optimal results for plant height parameters. Concentration of inorganic fertilizer (AB mix) 2 ppm gave optimal results on the number of branches parameter. The parameters of the number of fruit planted, the weight of the fruit planted, the weight of fresh stover, and the harvest index did’t significantly affect the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer (AB mix).

Abstract

ABSTRACTTomatoes is one type of fruit vegetables annuals that may be planted in the lowlands and high. The coconut water as a natural growth regulator by concentration of the certain and long immersion could increase yield of tomatoes. Research on the influence the coconut water and long immersion cuttings of the results of tomato plants have been conducted by 2022 on 14 July until 20 September 2022. Research carried out in Bojong Hamlet, Maduretno Village, Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regency with an altitude place 763 m above sea level. Research methodology used experiment factorials ( 4x3 ) arranged in the complete random design ( rakl ) two factors in treatment by three as a block. The first factor was the concentration of coconut water, namely 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The second factor was long immersion cuttings, namely 4 hours, 8 hours and 12 hours. Date were analyzed using variance and tested using orthogonal polynomials. The concentration of 25% coconut water gave the fastest age of flowering and the concentration of 100% coconut water produced the largest volume of fruit. Long immersion cuttings offer the same result height of plant, age of flowering, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant, volume of fruit and percentage of plants attacked by the virus. The concentration and long immersion cuttings gave a same result to the all parameters observation.Keywords: coconut water, concentration, long immersion, tomato.
