Abstract

Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) was a chemical compound commonly used as a whitening and disinfectant agent. Kiara payung (Filicium decipiens), or the ferntree, was chosen as the object of research because easily obtained, has rapid growth, and thought to respond to alien substances' stress. The main purpose of this study was to find out the response of the ferntree plant, which is given stress from sodium hypochlorite. The research method used in this study was experimentation. The independent variable in this study was Sodium Hypochlorite Concentration (X), and the dependent variable was Sodium Hypochlorite Uptake Value (Y). Phytochemical analysis was performed using the argentometry and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) techniques. Correlation analysis were performed using IBM SPSS 26. This study showed that the concentration of sodium hypochlorite has a positive effect on the uptake value of sodium hypochlorite. Limitations and suggestions to this study were to check the absorption based on soil level and examine other parts of the plant in the future study. In addition, another factors to the independent variables, such as genetics and variations in sodium hypochlorite concentration should be further explored, so that correlation analysis stands more optimal. Keywords: Ferntree, Root, Sodium Hypochlorite, Stress

Abstract

Taro (Colocasia esculenta L. Schott) is e tuber commodity that contains carbohydrates and can be used as an alternative source of food besides rice. This research was aimed to get the effects of liquid organic fertilizer on Taro’s vegetative growth. The research was conducted on September - December 2021 at Kebun Pendidikan Pengembangan Pertanian Bandongan Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Tidar University, Bandongan, Magelang Regency with an altitude of 360 m asl. The research method was arranged in Completely Randomized Block Design using a non-factorial experiments with one experiment factor and repeated three times. The research factor is POC concentration with levels: 0, 2, 3, and 4 ml/l. The research results show that POC applications with 3-4 ml/l concentration showed a very significant difference in length of stalk and significantly different in plant height.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe cultivation of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) on sand media as an effort to expand the land is needed to increase the production of shallots. Characteristics of sand media is low nutrient, so it is necessary to add organic matter to increase nutrient on sand media. This study aims to examine the response of the application of PGPR and Azolla.microphylla compost to the growth and yield of shallots on sand media. The research was conducted from January to March 2022 at KP3 Bandongan, Bandongan, Magelang with an altitude of 400 m above sea level. The research method was arranged in a factorial manner in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with consisted of two factors and three blocks as replicates. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (Anova) if they were significantly different, an orthogonal polynomial test was performed. The results showed that the PGPR concentration of 17,04 ml/l gave the best average number of tubers per clump compared to other treatments. The dose of A. microphylla compost and the interaction of the two treatments significantly affected the number of tubers per clump but did not significantly differ on other parameters. The low nutrient content of A. microphylla compost and high rainfall during the study caused the treatment applied to not be able to provide optimal results on the growth and yield of shallot plants. Keywords: compost A.microphylla, sand media, shallots, PGPR

Abstract

Research on the Effect of Types of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) and Application Intervals on the Yield of Cucumber Plants (Cucumis sativus L.) Harmony Variety began in April 2022 – June 2022 in Gunung Bakal Hamlet, Sumberan Village, Tempuran District, Magelang Regency, Central Java. The experiment used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RAKL) with two treatment factors and three replications as blocks. The first treatment factor is the type of POC consisting of well water (P0), Jimy Ghost POC (P1), Nasa POC (P2), and Cow Rumen POC. The second treatment is the POC administration interval, 4, 7, and every 10 days. The POC-type treatment provided optimal results in fruit diameter parameters and wet stover weight parameters compared to the treatment without POC. For the parameters of fruit length, weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, and dry weight of stover, P3 and P2 treatments gave optimal results. The POC administration interval treatment shows that the results of the data analysis only influence the photosynthesis rate test parameters by providing optimal results at a once every 4 day administration interval and do not optimally influence the results of other observation parameters. Abstract

Grafted cutting is a method for vegetative Ninel vine propagation. The purpose of thisstudy was to ascertain the impact of several grapevine rootstock species and planting media types on the development of Ninel grape seeds propagated through grafted cutting. The study was conducted in Kebonrejo village, Salaman district, Magelang regency (290 m asl) from April 2 to May 24, 2022, using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) consist of 2 treatment factors with 3 blocks. The rootstock species of grapevines, such us Vitis vinifera, Vitis labrusca, and Vitis riparia are the first factor. Planting media types classified as second factor include blends of topsoil + husk charcoal, topsoil + cocopeat, and topsoil + sand. The datas were anylized by Anova and continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The findings demonstrated that the grafted cutting method with rootstock from the Vitis riparia species on the scion of Vitis vinifera of the Ninel variety had the maximum yield in terms of shoot length, shoot diameter, leaf area and grafting success. Topsoil + husk charcoal and topsoil + sand were the types of planting medium that had the greatest effectiveness at grafted cutting.Keywords : planting medium, rootstock species, grafted cutting, Ninel vine

Abstract

Tagetes sp. merupakan salah satu tanaman hias yang memiliki nilai yang cukup tinggi. Tagetes sp. sering dimanfaatkan secara beragam. Penelitian tahun pertama ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk: mempelajari pengaruh interaksi paclobrutazole dan gibberellin terhadap pembungaan Tagetes sp.dan untuk menentukan konsentrasi paclobrutazole dan gibberellin terbaik untuk memacu pembungaan Tagetes sp. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan pola perlakuan RAL faktorial. Sebagai faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi gibberellin terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 0 ppm; 50 ppm; 100 ppm; 150 ppm. Sebagai faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi paclobrutazole, yang terdiri dari 3 taraf terdiri dari  0 ppm; 100 ppm; 200 ppm. Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang 10 kali sehingga diperoleh 120 unit percobaan. Hasil yang didapat menunjukan bahwa interaksi antara paklobrutazol dan GA3 tidak menunjukan hasil yang berbeda nyata pda semua parameter yang diujikan. Penggunaan GA3 dan paklobrutazol secara mandiri dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan Tagetes sp. Perlakuan GA3 100 ppm menunjukan tinggi tanaman dan laju pertumbuhan relatif sebesar 24,40 dan 3,08. Perlakuan paklobrutazol pada konsentrasi 0 ppm dan 200 ppm menunjukan rataan jumlah bunga terbanyak yaitu 10,80, sedangakan untuk rataan jumlah akar terbanyak ditunjukan pada perlakuan paklobrutazol 0 ppm yaitu sebanyak 49,06.

Abstract

Research on the response of wheat plants to the application of mycorrhizae and K fertilizer was carried out from October 16, 2021 to January 25, 2022. The study was conducted in Selopampang Village, Selopampang District, Temanggung Regency with an altitude of 670 m above sea level. The research method used a factorial experiment (4 x 3) arranged in a Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL) with two treatment factors and repeated three times. The first factor was the dose of mycorrhizae 2,5 g/plant, 5 g/plant, 7,5 g/plant and 10 g/plant. The second factor was the dose of potassium 17,5 kg/ha, 35 kg/ha and 52,5 kg/ha. Data were analyzed by means of variance. The influential results were further tested using orthogonal polynomials. The results showed that the high of mycorrhizae dose increase the dry weight of seed per clump. Potassium fertilizer with a dose of 52,5 kg/ha gave the highest yield on  the dry weight of seed per clump. Mycorrhizae 10 g/plant and K fertilizer 52,5 kg/ gave the highest yield on the dry weight of seed per clump.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr) yang efektif berdasarkan jenis media tanam dan pemberian jamur mikoriza arbuskula. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022 sampai Agustus 2022 di Desa Salamkanci Kecamatan Bandongan Kabupaten Magelang dengan ketinggian ± 349 m dpl. Percobaan faktorial (3 x 4) disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media tanam yaitu: tanah; arang sekam, tanah; kotoran ayam, soi; arang sekam; kotoran ayam. Faktor kedua adalah dosis jamur mikoriza arbuskular (CMA) yaitu: 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, dan 25 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis media tanam yang digunakan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman, dan kandungan protein benih kedelai segar. berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot biji segar per tanaman, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot polong isi per tanaman dan bobot 100 biji kering. Jenis media tanam dengan tanah; arang sekam; Pupuk kandang ayam yang digunakan menghasilkan jumlah polong isi per tanaman yang paling banyak, dan berat biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi. Terdapat interaksi antara jenis media tanam dan dosis CMA terhadap kadar protein benih kedelai segar. dan bobot biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi. Abstract

Rice is the main staple food for the people of Surakarta City. In fulfilling their rice needs, rice is still supplied from other cities. In addition, there is a loss of labor, time, and cost caused by returning rice products to the rice milling company. The purpose of this study is to determine the combination of rice attribute levels and the order of importance of rice attributes and analyze the relationship between estimated and actual preferences. This research uses a quantitative approach. The technique of determining the sample through quota sampling. Data analysis techniques using Conjoint analysis. The results of the study show that the preferred combination of rice attribute levels is medium quality 1 (low income) or premium (high income), fluffy, lean, non-aromatic, and hermetic. Meanwhile, the order of importance of rice attributes is quality, shape, fullness, aroma, packaging (low income) and quality, fullness, shape, aroma, packaging (high income). The results of the Pearson's R correlation value show a relationship. Suggestions for rice milling companies in order to improve the quality of rice products.

Abstract

The aims of the research was to determine the effect dose of durio peel compost and concentration of rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of upright bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L). The dose of fertilization is a dose of fertilizer given in units of weight per land area, while the concentration is the amount of solution needed in liters. The research was conducted from July to October 2022 in Tirip Hamlet, Kembaran Village, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency at an altitude of 437 m asl. The research used a factorial experiment (4x4) which was arranged in a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with three replications as blocks. The first factor of the dose of durio peel compost is 0, 150, 300, and 450 g. The second factor was the POC concentration of rabbit urine 0, 15, 30, and 45 ml. The results showed that different doses of durio peel compost provide the number of pods per plant, the weight of fresh pods per plant and the protein content. The higher concentration of rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer increases the weight of fresh pods per plant and the protein content. The dose of durio peel compost fertilizer 300 g and without liquid organic fertilizer rabbit urine provides the highest protein content.
