Abstract

The Use of SWAT Model to Predict Erosion and Sediment in the Catchment Area of Lake Tondano. The objective of this research is to assess the accuracy of SWAT model to predict erosion and sediment in the catchment area of lake Tondano. A comprehensive hydrological model of SWAT is one of several models available to predict erosion dan sediment load. The validation of this model would be tested and it would be acceptable if Nash-Sutcliffe model Efficiency (NSE) coefficient was equal or greater than 0.4. The results in this experiment showed that values of NSE coefficient between sediment load observed and predicted by SWAT were between 0.4 and 0.9. Therefore, the use of SWAT model to predict erosion dan sediment in Tondano lake catchment area is satisfying and very good. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keakuratan model SWAT dalam menduga erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano. SWAT (Soil Water Assesment Tool) merupakan model hidrologi yang komprehensif karena mempertimbangkan kondisi biofisik, iklim dan manajemen area tangkapan air dalam prediksi erosi dan sedimen. Penggunaan model SWAT untuk pendugaan erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano dapat diterima apabila hasil validasi sedimen terukur dan sedimen pendugaan menunjukkan koefisien NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe model Efficiency) lebih besar atau sama dengan 0,4. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model SWAT bisa digunakan untuk prediksi erosi dan sedimentasi di area tangkapan air danau Tondano karena koefisien NSE yang diperoleh pada 4 sungai yang bermuara di danau Tondano berkisar antara 0,4 sampai 0,9. Dengan demikian, pendugaan erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano dengan model SWAT dapat memberikan hasil yang memuaskan sampai sangat baik. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the quality and antioxidant activity of solid bath soap containing red algae extract E spinosum. Soap is made through a saponification reaction between a mixture of olive, palm and coconut oils (ratio 44:32:24%) with NaOH. In the saponification reaction, E. spinosum algae extract was added with 4 concentration formulations: 0, 0.050, 0.075, 0.1%. The soap produced is tested for it’s quality using the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 3532:2021 which includes water content, pH, total fat, insoluble ingredients in ethanol, free fatty acids, chloride content, and unsaponifiable fat. The antioxidant activity of soap was tested using the DPPH method. The quality test results of each solid bath soap formulation, namely water content, pH, insoluble material in ethanol, and chloride content have met the quality requirements of SNI 3532:2021, while the total fat, free fatty acid, and unsaturated fat have not met the quality requirements of SNI. The antioxidant activity expressed in IC50 of each soap formulation is 463.3647 g/mL for formula A, 248.8397 g/mL for formula B, 155.5369 g/mL for formula C, and 90.3402 g/mL for formula D. This study concluded that solid bath soap containing E. spinosum extract did not meet the quality of SNI 3532:2021 and had antioxidant activity. Keywords: Antioxidant; Eucheuma spinosum; soap Pengujian Kualitas dan Aktivitas Antioksidan dari Sabun Mandi Padat Mengandung Ekstrak Alga Eucheuma spinosum ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kualitas dan aktivitas antioksidan dari sabun mandi padat mengandung ekstrak alga merah E spinosum. Sabun dibuat melalui reaksi saponifikasi antara campuran minyak zaitun, sawit dan kelapa (rasio 44:32:24%) dengan NaOH. Pada reaksi penyabunan tersebut ditambahkan ekstrak alga E. Spinosum dengan 4 formulasi konsentrasi: 0, 0,050, 0,075, 0,100%. Sabun mandi yang dihasilkan diuji kualitasnya berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 3532:2021 yang meliputi kadar air, pH, total lemak, bahan tak larut dalam etanol, asam lemak bebas, kadar klorida, dan lemak tak tersabunkan. Aktivitas antioksidan dari sabun diuji dengan metode DPPH. Hasil uji kualitas dari tiap formulasi sabun mandi padat yaitu kadar air, pH, bahan tak larut dalam etanol, dan kadar klorida telah memenuhi syarat mutu SNI 3532:2021, sedangkan untuk total lemak, asam lemak bebas, dan lemak tak tesabunkan belum memenuhi syarat mutu SNI. Aktivitas antioksidan yang dinyatakan dalam IC50 dari tiap formulasi sabun mandi yaitu 463,3647 µg/mL untuk formula A, 248,8397 µg/mL formula B, 155,5369 µg/mL formula C, dan 90,3402 µg/mL untuk formula D. Penelitian ini m enyimpulkan bahwa sabun mandi padat mengandung ekstrak E. Spinosum belum memenuhi kualitas SNI 3532:2021 dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Abstract

This study aims to fortify yogurt from coconut milk (cocogurt) with yellow sweet potato puree and its effect on pH, viscosity, total lactic acid bacteria, and identify sensory properties of preference for taste, aroma, color, and texture. The method used in this research is the manufacture of yogurt starter, coconut milk, and yellow yam puree, the test parameters include acidity test (pH value), viscosity, total lactic acid bacteria and organoleptic test. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 additional treatments of yellow yam puree: P0(0%), P1(5%), P2(10%), P3(15%), P4(20%), P5(25%). The results showed that fortification of cocogurt with yellow yam puree produced cocogurt with lower acidity (pH) (3.38-4.71), viscosity (4.46-6.85 cP) and total lactic acid bacteria (2,3 x 105 - 6.5 x 105 cfu/ml) is increasing. This study concluded that the best cocogurt treatment was found in the fortification of 5% yellow yam puree with a pH value of 4.39, viscosity 4.46 cP, total lactic acid bacteria 2.3 x 105 cfu/ml and sensory properties of preference for taste, aroma, color, texture shows the score of the results of the scale (6), namely likes. Keywords: cocogurt; coconut milk; yellow yam puree  Fortifikasi Cocogurt Santan Kelapa (Cocos nucifera L.) Dengan Puree Ubi Jalar Kuning (Ipomea batatas L.) ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan fortifikasi yogurt dari santan kelapa (cocogurt) dengan puree ubi jalar kuning dan pengaruhnya terhadap pH, viskositas, total bakteri asam laktat, dan mengidentifikasi sifat sensoris tingkat kesukaan rasa, aroma, warna, dan tekstur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembuatan starter yogurt, santan kelapa, dan puree ubi jalar kuning. Parameter uji meliputi uji derajat keasaman (nilai pH), viskositas, total bakteri asam laktat serta uji organoleptik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan penambahan puree ubi jalar kuning : P0(0%), P1(5%), P2(10%), P3(15%), P4(20%), P5(25%). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fortifikasi cocogurt dengan puree ubi jalar kuning menghasilkan cocogurt dengan derajat keasaman (pH) yang semakin rendah (4,71-3,38), viskositas (4,46-6,85 cP) dan total bakteri asam laktat (2,3 x 105-6,5 x 105 cfu/ml) semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlakuan terbaik cocogurt terdapat pada fortifikasi puree ubi jalar kuning 5% dengan nilai pH 4,39, viskositas 4,46 cP, total bakteri asam laktat 2,3 x 105 cfu/ml dan sifat sensoris tingkat kesukaan rasa, aroma, warna, tekstur menunjukan skor hasil skala (6) yaitu suka. Abstract

Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) is a plant that has antioxidant activities. The compounds contained phenolic compounds and flavonoids.  This study aimed to test the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves (Eugenia uniflora L.) with ABTS method and determine the content of flavonoid and total phenolic compounds. Ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves was obtained by maceration using 96% ethanol. The ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves identified the active compounds by FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) and phytochemical screening. Ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves was tested for its antioxidant activity using the ABTS method to obtaine the IC50 value and determined total flavonoid and phenolic content using UV/Vis spectrophotometry to obtain the levels (mg/g sample). The identification results show that the ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves is a flavonoid compound of the dihydroflavonol type which has a bound OH functional group, aliphatic CH, C = O, C = C aromatic, C - O and aliphatic CH, and there are hydroxy groups on the C-3, C atoms. -5, and C-7. The results of phytochemical screening showed that the ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves contains saponins, tannins, phenolics, and flavonoids. The ethanol extract of Dewandaru leaves has antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 33.92 ppm and trolox with an IC50 value of 19.24 ppm. Based on the IC50 value, both are categorized very strong antioxidant activity. The total phenolic and total flavonoid levels were 327.52 mgGAE/g and 35.65 mgQE/g. Keywords: Antioxidant; Eugenia uniflora L.; flavonoid; phenolic Aktivitas Antioksidan Ekstrak Etanol Daun Dewandaru (Eugenia Uniflora L.) serta Penetapan Flavonoid dan Fenolik Total ABSTRAK Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) termasuk salah satu tanaman yang mempunyai khasiat antioksidan. Senyawa yang terkandung didalamnya antara lain senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) menggunakan metode ABTS dan menetapkan kandungan senyawa flavonoid dan fenolik total. Ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru diperoleh dengan cara maserasi menggunakan etanol 96 %. Ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru diidentifikasi senyawa aktif dengan FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) dan skrinning fitokimia. Ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru diuji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode ABTS sehingga diperoleh nilai IC50. Selanjutnya ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru ditetapkan kandungan flavonoid dan fenolik totalnya secara spektrofometri UV/Vis hingga diperoleh kadarnya (mg/g sampel). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid jenis dihidroflavonol yang mempunyai gugus fungsi OH terikat, CH alifatik, C = O, C = C aromatik, C – O dan CH alifatik, serta terdapat gugus hidroksi pada atom C-3, C-5, dan C-7. Hasil skrining fitokimia  menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru mengandung senyawa saponin, tanin, fenolik, dan flavonoid. Ekstrak etanol daun dewandaru memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 33,92 ppm dan trolox dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 19,24 ppm. Berdasarkan nilai IC50 keduanya dikategorikan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat. Sedangkan kadar fenolik total serta flavonoid total sebesar 327,52 mgGAE/g dan 35,65 mgQE/g. Abstract

This study examines the morphology and biomolecules of the Atergatis floridus crab found in the Intertidal Zone of the Minanga Beach, Manado City. Species identification was carried out by morphological and biomolecular analysis of DNA barcoding using the COI gene. Samples were collected in February and the isolation stage was in March 2022. The method used was the roaming method, namely exploring the research location to catch samples of crabs on the coast and catching crabs directly using hands protected with gloves and a flashlight for lighting. The morphological characters of concern are the shape of the carapace color and the anterior, posterior and abdominal characters. Furthermore, muscle tissue samples were taken from the crab claws for DNA isolation and sequencing processes at the company's first base laboratories, Malaysia. Based on the results of the research, samples that have been studied morphologically and sequenced show that 99.70% of the species are Atergatis floridus. Identifikasi spesies dilakukan dengan pendekatan analasis morfologi dan biomolekuler DNA barcoding menggunakan Gen COI. Sampel dikoleksi pada bulan Februari dan tahapan isolasi pada bulan Maret 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode jelajah, yakni menjelajahi lokasi penelitian untuk menangkap sampel kepiting di pesisir pantai dan penangkapan kepiting secara langsung menggunakan tangan yang dilindungi dengan sarung tangan dan senter untuk penerangan. Karakter morfologi yang menjadi perhatian adalah bentuk warna karapas dan karakter anterior, posterior dan abdomen. Selanjutnya diambil sampel jaringan otot pada bagian capit kepiting untuk dilakukan isolasi DNA dan proses sekuensing pada perusahaan first base laboratories, Malaysia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sampel yang telah ditelaah secara morfologi dan disekuens menunjukkan bahwa 99.70% spesies tersebut adalah Atergatis floridus. Abstract

Taro leaf (Colocasia esculenta (L) Schott) is a plant from the Araceae family that has antihyperglycemic activity because it contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, polyphenols and alkaloids. This study was aimed to determine the antihyperglycemic activity of ethanol extract, methanol fraction and n-hexane fraction of taro leaves given to male white rats after streptozotocin and alloxan were induced. The experimental research method used 55 male white rats with 6 treatments. Group 1 normal, group 2 negative control CMC-Na, group 3 positive control metformin 500 mg, group 4 ethanol extract at a dose of 200 mg/Kgbb (streptozotocin induction), group 5 methanol fraction at a dose of 38, 1 mg/KgBW (streptozotocin induction), group 6 n-hexane fraction at a dose of 9,2 mg/KgBW (streptozotocin induction), group 7 ethanol extract at a dose of 200 mg/Kgbb (aloxan induction), group 8 methanol fraction at a dose of 38, 1 mg/KgBW (aloxan induction) and group 9 n-hexane fraction at a dose of 9,2 mg/KgBW (aloxan induction). Glucose levels were checked using an Easy Touch glucometer. The results showed that statistically the ethanol extract of taro leaves at a dose of 200 mg/KgBW was the most effective in lowering blood glucose in male white rats. Abstract

The purpose of this study to measure the antioxidant ability and content of phenolic and flavonoid compounds in ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts of areca nut (Pinanga ceasia Blume) taken from the Central Sulawesi region. The fruit were divided in the skin, seeds, and flesh. Samples were extracted by maceration using two types of solvents, namely ethanol and ethyl acetate. The parameters of the study were measured spectrophotometrically using specific reagents. The reagents used were DPPH for antioxidant activity test, Folin-Ciocalteu reagent for testing phenolic compound levels, and AlCl3 reagent for flavonoid level testing. The phenolic content of the ethanolic extract of the seeds and fruit flesh was in the range of 3,500 – 4,500 g equivalent of gallic acid/g extract, while the flavonoid content was in the range of 1,700 – 1,800 g equivalent of quercetin/g of extract. This value is much higher than other extracts in the range of 170 – 740 g bioactive equivalent/g extract. The antioxidant ability of the ethanol extract of the seeds and fruit pulp increased with increasing concentration of the extract, while the other extracts were relatively the same at all test concentrations. Keywords: antioxidant; flavonoid; maceration; phenolic; Pinanga ceasea Blume Kapasitas Antioksidan Ekstrak Etanol dan Etil Asetat Buah Pinang (Pinanga ceasia Blume), Tanaman Endemik Sulawesi Tengah ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengukur kemampuan antioksidan dan kadar senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid pada ekstrak etanol dan etil asetat buah pinang (Pinanga ceasia Blume) yang diambil dari daerah Sulawesi Tengah. Buah pinang dipisahkan bagian kulit, biji, dan daging buah. Sampel diekstraksi secara maserasi menggunakan dua jenis pelarut yaitu etanol dan etil asetat. Parameter uji diukur secara spektrofotometri menggunakan reagen spesifik. Reagen yang digunakan yaitu DPPH untuk uji aktivitas antioksidan, reagen Folin-ciocalteu untuk uji kadar senyawa fenolik, dan reagen AlCl3 untuk uji kadar flavonoid. Kadar fenolik ekstrak etanol biji dan daging buah pada kisaran 3.500 – 4.500 µg ekivalen asam galat/g ekstrak sedangkan flavonoid pada kisaran 1.700 – 1.800 µg ekivalen kuersetin/g ekstrak. Nilai tersebut jauh lebih tinggi dibanding ekstrak lain yang ada pada kisaran 170 – 740 µg ekivalen bioaktif/g ekstrak. Kemampuan antioksidan ekstrak etanol biji dan daging buah meningkat seiring meningkatnya konsentrasi ekstrak sedangkan ekstrak lain relative sama pada semua konsentrasi uji. Ekstrak etanol biji dan daging buah Pinanga ceasea Blume memiliki kadar flavonoid dan flavonoid lebih dari dari kulit buah. Kemampuan antioksidan ekstrak etanol biji dan daging buah Pinanga ceasea Blume lebih tinggi dibandingkan ekstrak lain. Kata kunci: Antioksidan; fenolik; flavonoid; maserasi; Pinanga ceasea Blume

Alasan seseorang dalam melakukan sesuatu atau memilih sesuatu dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa variabel, antara lain faktor sosial, budaya, maupun faktor psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi seseorang untuk merokok. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa motivasi seseorang untuk merokok adalah menjadikan dirinya aktif, membuat pikiran menjadi segar dan nyaman, untuk bersosialisasi, membuat penampilan lebih menarik, merasakan kenikmatan dan ingin diakui sebagai masyarakat modern serta menjadikannya sebagai suatu kebanggaan. Abstract

In this research, a system for diagnosing disease was designed and implemented. This system will be used  for paramedics expert. They need to enter many symptoms. The symptoms are classified into two categories, crisps and fuzzy. The fuzzy symptoms are input using slider. It is used  for uncertainty symptoms. Building this system, needs three steps knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation and then building knowledge base, and finally  building inference engine. This system uses standard class operator, algebraic class operator, and Einstein class operator. Implication rule uses Dienes-Rescher and for combine all rules use Mamdani Combination. Based on all symptom that have been entered using standard class operator, this system is a success for diagnosing disease and its inference value. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kecenderungan konsumen dalam memilih dan menggunakan kartu telepon selular di kota Manado. Penelitian dilaksankan di Kota Manado pada bulan Juli sampai September 2006 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 200 orang yang dibagi secara acak di kota Manado. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa konsumen telepon kartu di kota Manado cenderung menggunakan kartu flexi karena banyak undian, biaya percapakannya murah, pulsanya murah serta biaya SMS yang murah. Konsumen cenderung menggunakan kartu simpati karena jangakauannya Luas. Konsumen cenderung menggunakan kartu matriks karena harga perdananya murah dan tempat penjualan pulsanya murah. Konsumen cenderung menggunakan kartu AS, dan mentari karena penggunanya banyak, harga vouchernya murah, dan tidak merepotkan dalam pengisian pulsa. Konsumen cenderung menggunakan Pro XL bebas karena harga vouchernya murah. Sedangkan kartu XPLO, kartu hallo dan kartu Pro XL jempol cenderung tidak diminati oleh konsumen kartu telepon. Kata kunci : Kartu telepon, telepon seluler, analisis korespondensi CONSUMER PROFILE CELLULAR PHONE CARD IN MANADO USING CORRESPONDENCE ANALYSIS ABSTRACT The objective of this research that seen consumer trend to choose and using cellulsr phone card in Manado. This research carried out in Manado on July until September 2006 with 200 sample size. The result shows that phone card consumer tend was using flexi card because much lottery, cheap talking cost, cheap pulse and cheap short message (SMS). Consumer tend was using matrix card because cheap prepayment, and easy to search salle location. Consumer tend was using AS and Mentari card because much user’s, cheap voucher price and easy to recharged pulse. Consumen tend was using Pro XL because cheap voucher price. While, XPLO, Hallo card, and Jempol Po XL tend wasn’t using by consumer. Keywords: Phone card, cellular phone, correspondence analysis
