Abstract

The copyright dispute over the Welcome Monument Sketch between the heirs of the late Henk Nunjung and PT. Grand Indonesia focuses on economic rights related to the use of a logo that resembles a sketch by Henk Nhang without permission. The heirs claim the right to economic compensation because PT. Grand Indonesia used this logo from 2004 to 2020 without approval. Based on Law no. 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright, the moral and economic rights of copyrighted works remain with the creator or his heirs. The court decided that the copyright for the sketch was Henk Nhang's personal property as an artist, not the result of his official relationship as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. As a result of this violation, PT. Grand Indonesia is required to pay compensation of Rp. 16,000,000,000 to the heirs. This case emphasizes the importance of economic rights in protecting copyrighted works from unauthorized exploitation.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Sungai Ular Village, Secanggang District, Langkat Regency, aims to develop community potential through three main focuses: religious moderation, empowerment of digital technology-based MSMEs, and stunting prevention. Through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, KKN activities involve the community directly in the process of social and economic improvement. The religious moderation program has succeeded in deepening understanding of religion, increasing tolerance, and strengthening relations between religious communities through activities such as Maghrib Koran Recitation, Wirit for Mothers, and Wirit for Youth. Empowerment of MSMEs, especially in the palm sugar sector, is carried out by providing digital marketing training and promotional support through e-commerce platforms to expand markets and increase income. The stunting prevention program provides education to the public regarding the importance of balanced nutrition, reproductive health, and the impact of early marriage on stunting. The results of implementing this KKN show increased community awareness and sustainability in local economic development and public health, which has the potential to reduce the prevalence of stunting and improve the quality of life in Sungai Ular Village.

This study aimed to assess the impact of education on the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet on the blood pressure levels of individuals with hypertension within the jurisdiction of the Rumbia Public Health Center in Rumbia District, Central Lampung Regency, during the year 2024. Employing a quantitative research methodology, the study utilized a quasi-experimental design featuring a one-group pre-test and post-test framework. The target population consisted of 353 hypertensive individuals residing in the Rumbia Health Center area from January to April 2024, with a sample size of 62 participants. Data were analyzed using the independent t-test. Findings revealed that the average blood pressure prior to the DASH diet education in the intervention group was 138/78 mmHg, compared to 149/89 mmHg in the control group. Post-education, the intervention group exhibited an average blood pressure of 126/75 mmHg, while the control group showed 136/82 mmHg. The results indicate a significant effect of DASH diet education on blood pressure among hypertensive patients in the Rumbia Health Center area, with a p-value of 0.000. It is recommended that health centers disseminate information regarding the benefits of DASH diet education on blood pressure management through various media, including leaflets, booklets, and posters, positioning it as a viable alternative treatment for individuals with hypertension.

Abstract

The damage that has occurred is very concerning and is often caused by human greed and negligence, which will impact future generations. This is a concerning situation and needs immediate special attention. One of the main causes of environmental problems is the lack of public awareness about the importance of environmental preservation. When individuals realize the importance of preserving and conserving the environment, they will be more prudent in utilizing natural resources. In Indonesia, sustainable development is defined as a planned effort that integrates the environment and resources into the development process, in order to ensure the welfare and quality of life for current and future generations. Regulation Number 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management (PPLH) clearly states that the environment is a spatial unit that includes all objects, forces, conditions, and living beings, including humans and their behavior, which affect nature, the survival, and well-being of humans and other living beings.

Abstract

Singing activities at the Pembina Siak Kecil State Kindergarten are an effective learning method in improving the language skills of young children. With pleasant melodies and themes that are relevant to everyday life, singing activities facilitate children to remember new words more easily. In addition, this activity also supports the development of grammar and sentence structure, as well as encouraging social interaction among children, improving their communication and collaboration skills. With the support of teachers and parents, children feel more confident in language and are able to communicate better. Singing activities also stimulate children's cognitive abilities and improve motor skills through movements that are integrated with singing. Repetition of songs in class provides an opportunity for children to internalize new vocabulary effectively. Teachers play an important role in choosing songs that are appropriate to the child's developmental stage, so that each child can learn according to their level of ability. Overall, singing activities at the Pembina Siak Kecil State Kindergarten have a significant impact on children's language development, enrich vocabulary, and build a strong communication foundation for the future.

Abstract

Indonesia has ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and regulates the right to health services through Law Number 8 of 2016, but there are still challenges in ensuring equal access for people with disabilities in Indonesia. Lack of accessibility of health facilities and discrimination faced by people with disabilities. Using normative legal research methods and statutory provision approaches, this article examines how persons with disabilities can exercise their rights and how the Government of Indonesia implements policies to protect the rights of persons with disabilities. The results show that despite legal protection efforts, gaps still exist in terms of physical accessibility and health services for people with disabilities. Many facilities do not meet accessibility standards, and medical personnel's understanding of the rights of people with disabilities is still limited. Even though several regulations in Indonesia emphasize equal access to health services, much attention is still paid to the issue of physical accessibility, inadequate information, and lack of understanding and awareness on the part of healthcare providers. To achieve equal access for people with disabilities, it is necessary to strengthen legal protection and implement policies and concrete steps in improving facilities, information, and education for health workers.
