Abstract

The development of financial technology–based online lending services in Indonesia has been accompanied by the widespread emergence of illegal online loan providers operating without registration or supervision from the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK). These illegal practices are characterized by high interest rates, short repayment periods, and weak consumer protection, leading to increased defaults and legal uncertainty for borrowers. This study aims to examine the role of the OJK in regulating and supervising online loan companies and to analyze the civil liability arising from credit agreements involving illegal online lending. This research employs normative legal research using statutory and conceptual approaches, with data obtained through library research of primary and secondary legal materials. The findings indicate that the OJK functions as a regulator and supervisor to ensure order, transparency, and consumer protection in the financial services sector. Credit agreements with unlicensed online loan companies may be canceled due to the absence of legal authorization; however, debtors remain obligated to return the borrowed funds, and default does not eliminate civil liability.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of maternal love and gratitude in Miller Mottla’s poem Thank You Mom within the framework of literary analysis. The research aims to explore how intrinsic poetic elements construct emotional and ethical meaning in the text. Using a qualitative interpretative design, the study applies close reading to analyze key intrinsic components, including theme, diction, imagery, tone, and moral dimension. The findings reveal that maternal love is portrayed as a formative emotional force characterized by constancy, sacrifice, and moral guidance, positioning the mother figure as the central axis of the speaker’s identity formation. Gratitude emerges as the dominant thematic response, functioning not only as an emotional expression but also as an ethical recognition of relational influence. The analysis further demonstrates that linguistic simplicity enhances emotional accessibility and strengthens moral communicability, allowing the poem to convey universal values through direct expression. This study contributes to literary scholarship by challenging the assumption that poetic value depends primarily on structural complexity and by demonstrating that accessible poetic language can effectively function as a medium of moral education. The findings highlight the significance of poetry as both an aesthetic and pedagogical form capable of fostering emotional awareness and ethical reflection.

Abstract

This study examines differences in students’ academic achievement based on levels of parental involvement at SDI Ash-Sholihah Gedung Johor. A quantitative comparative design was employed with a sample of 84 students selected from a population of 540 using the Slovin formula (10% error rate). Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires measuring parental involvement and academic achievement, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD tests. The findings revealed that mean academic achievement differed significantly across parental involvement levels: low (61.46), medium (66.86), and high (74.39). The ANOVA test indicated a statistically significant difference (F = 44.795; p less than 0.05), and post hoc analysis confirmed that students with high parental involvement achieved significantly higher scores than those in medium and low groups. These results demonstrate that parental involvement is a crucial external factor influencing academic success. The study highlights the importance of strengthening school–family collaboration to enhance learning outcomes, particularly in Islamic elementary school contexts. The findings contribute empirical evidence supporting educational policies and practices that actively engage parents as partners in students’ academic development.

Abstract

The marketing strategy implemented by Dodol Ria entrepreneurs in Tanjung Pura District to increase sales is based on the 4P marketing mix framework, which consists of product, price, place, and promotion strategies. In terms of place strategy, Dodol Ria operates in a strategic industrial location that is easily accessible to consumers, thereby supporting distribution efficiency and market reach. Regarding promotion strategy, Mrs. Sulastri collaborates with resellers to expand market coverage. In addition, consumers can place orders through social media platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp, which facilitates easier access to Dodol Ria products and enhances customer convenience. By consistently implementing these four components of the marketing mix, Dodol Ria in Tanjung Pura District has been able to sustain its business operations, generate profits, and continue expanding its market presence. Maintaining product quality remains a key priority, as the existing quality standards are already well established. However, further innovation is necessary, particularly in diversifying flavor variants, to meet consumer preferences and stimulate continued growth in dodol sales.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of tarbiyah halaqoh activities in improving teacher performance in strengthening Islamic religious understanding at YPI Nurul Fikri Suka Makmur, Binjai District, Langkat Regency. The research employed a quantitative correlational design involving all 30 teachers as the sample. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through normality, linearity, homogeneity, Product Moment correlation, and t-tests. The findings indicate that tarbiyah halaqoh activities are categorized as good, with a mean score of 61.53, while teacher performance in enhancing Islamic religious understanding is also classified as good, with a mean score of 67.66. Statistical analysis reveals a very strong positive correlation between tarbiyah halaqoh activities and teacher performance (r = 0.90 more than r table = 0.80). The t-test result (t = 25.1 more than 1.31; ? = 0.05) confirms that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. These results demonstrate that tarbiyah halaqoh activities significantly and directly contribute to improving teacher performance in developing Islamic religious understanding.

Abstract

Kartika 1–2 High School in Medan and Free Methodist High School in Medan promote religious moderation through curriculum integration, school culture, and extracurricular programs. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education teachers and their collaboration with teachers of other religious subjects in fostering religious moderation, as well as to examine the challenges encountered in implementing these values within the K13 and Merdeka curricula. The research adopts a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using a deductive method. The findings indicate that religious moderation is strengthened through several key strategies: integrating moderation values into curriculum documents and classroom instruction; implementing project-based learning that promotes tolerance, mutual respect, and interreligious cooperation; organizing interfaith extracurricular activities and social service programs; and reinforcing moderate attitudes through religious celebrations, counseling, and school culture. The study also identifies several challenges, including external social influences and varying levels of parental involvement. Overall, the implementation of these strategies has contributed to improved student understanding and practice of religious moderation, as reflected in reduced SARA-based bullying, stronger interreligious solidarity, and more inclusive student leadership processes.

Abstract

School leadership plays a critical role in shaping school effectiveness and teacher performance, particularly within the framework of educational management. This study aims to examine the role of school principal leadership as a managerial mechanism in enhancing teacher performance through a qualitative literature-based approach. Using a conceptual review design, this article analyzes and synthesizes scholarly literature published between 2021 and 2025 that addresses principal leadership, managerial functions, leadership styles, and teacher performance. The findings indicate that principal leadership operates as an integrated managerial mechanism encompassing planning, organizing, directing, and controlling school resources and instructional processes. Effective leadership is shown to influence teacher performance through organizational structures, instructional supervision, strategic decision-making, and trust-based relationships. Additionally, leadership styles such as instructional, transformational, and integrated leadership contribute significantly to teachers’ professional development and instructional effectiveness. This study contributes to educational management literature by clarifying the conceptual position of principal leadership as a managerial mechanism rather than a fragmented leadership construct. The findings emphasize the importance of managerial coherence in leadership practices to support sustainable improvement in teacher performance. Future research is encouraged to empirically examine this conceptual framework across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pattern of strengthening Islamic values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP Islam Terpadu Indah Medan through the integration of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving the vice principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure validity and credibility. The findings reveal that the reinforcement pattern is constructed through several interconnected strategies: religious habituation, vertical and horizontal integration of learning activities, social control and peer monitoring, the transformation of sanctions into spiritual development processes, differentiated coaching, and reward systems. These integrated patterns contribute to improving students’ discipline, responsibility, and the internalization of Islamic values in daily school life. The study offers a practical model for strengthening character-based Islamic education in school contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates how facilities and infrastructure services and school committee involvement contribute to improving educational quality in Islamic schools. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 60 teachers and educational staff across three Islamic secondary schools using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, while qualitative data were obtained from interviews, observations, and document analysis involving nine key informants. The results reveal that both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on school quality (R² ? 0.62–0.63; p less than 0.05), with facilities and infrastructure services showing a more dominant influence. Qualitative findings indicate that well-managed facilities enhance student motivation and teacher performance, whereas active school committees strengthen governance through planning, supervision, and community engagement. The integration of findings demonstrates that synergy between effective facilities management and participatory governance creates a sustainable ecosystem for improving academic achievement, character development, and stakeholder satisfaction in Islamic schools.
