Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Corporate Governance, specifically using the Corporate Governance Perception Index Score (CGPI), in moderating the influence of Revenue, Net Profit Margin, and Return on Equity on stock prices of companies ranked in the Corporate Governance implementation ranking conducted by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG). This study uses quantitative research, the population for this study includes all companies that participated in the CGPI ranking from 2014 to 2022, with the criterion of having ranking data for at least five consecutive years, resulting in data from nine companies. The statistical analysis employed descriptive analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis using E-views software, as the data type is panel data, which combines cross-sectional and time-series data. The analysis indicated that among the three independent variables examined, only Return on Equity had a positive effect on stock prices. In contrast, Revenue and Net Profit Margin did not significantly affect stock prices and tended to signal negative implications. After including Corporate Governance as a moderating variable, the results indicated that Corporate Governance could only slightly strengthen the influence of Revenue on stock prices. However, it was not effective in enhancing the influence of Net Profit Margin or Return on Equity on stock prices.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of school principal leadership, work environment, and work discipline on teacher performance at Yapparindo Tourism Vocational School. The research method used is quantitative with a multiple linear regression approach. The population in this study consists of all teachers at Yapparindo Tourism Vocational School, while the sample includes 56 teachers. The results of the regression analysis indicate that simultaneously, the three independent variables (school principal leadership, work environment, and work discipline) significantly affect teacher performance. However, partially, only the work discipline variable has a significant effect on teacher performance. Although the school principal leadership and work environment variables are not statistically significant, they remain important as both play a crucial role in creating a conducive work atmosphere. The coefficient of determination (R-square) obtained shows that the constructed regression model can only explain a small portion of the variation in teacher performance. This indicates that there are still other factors not covered in this study that also influence teacher performance. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that Yapparindo Tourism Vocational School focus more on improving teachers' work discipline. Additionally, the school needs to continually strive to enhance the quality of school principal leadership and improve working conditions. For future research, it is suggested to examine other factors that may affect teacher performance, such as work motivation, workload, and support from colleagues.

Abstract

Sale and Leaseback agreements  are one of the increasingly popular financing methods in strategic asset management. This agreement is considered to allow the owner of the ship to sell his assets to a third party with an agreement to re-lease the ship for a certain period of time. This method offers financial flexibility, but also presents various legal challenges, particularly related to ownership and certainty of the rights of the parties involved. This study aims to analyze the legal basis, characteristics of agreements, and their implications for the transfer of ship ownership. The approach used in this study is normative with analysis of relevant laws and regulations and case studies. The results of the study show that although  the Sale and Leaseback agreement  provides great benefits in terms of financing, the implementation in Indonesia still faces obstacles, especially for marine capital goods that include immovable objects. In addition, there is a potential for legal disputes if one party fails to fulfill its obligations. For this reason, more detailed legal arrangements are needed to protect the rights and obligations of the parties. This study recommends harmonization between the rules in the field of financing institutions and the rules applicable in shipping as well as stricter supervision of the implementation  of Sale and Leaseback agreements  on ship assets. With adequate arrangements, this agreement can be an effective solution in supporting financing in the shipping sector.

Abstract

Franchise agreements play an important role in providing legal protection for franchise business actors in Indonesia, both for franchisors and franchisees. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of franchise agreements in protecting the rights and obligations of the parties and identify potential legal problems that arise in their implementation. The approach used is normative juridical, with an analysis of related laws and regulations, such as Government Regulation No. 42 of 2007 concerning Franchises, as well as franchise agreement documents from various business sectors. The results of the study show that franchise agreements that are drafted by fulfilling the legal principles of the agreement, such as legal certainty, fairness, and balance, are able to provide adequate legal protection for both parties. However, there are still challenges in implementation, including inconsistencies in the content of the agreement with regulations, lack of understanding of legal aspects by business actors, and weak supervision of the implementation of the agreement. This research recommends strengthening regulations and education for franchise business actors to create a fairer and more sustainable business ecosystem.

Abstract

The high rate of blindness due to cataracts in Indonesia, especially in West Java, has prompted the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) in collaboration with Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM) to carry out a free cataract surgery program for 100 West Java residents in 2023. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the program through the Social Return on Investment (SROI) approach that considers social, economic, and environmental impacts. The qualitative approach was used to analyze the social impact of the Free Cataract Surgery program in more detail, while the descriptive quantitative approach was used to measure social return on investment (SROI) and analyze the results of social impact calculations. The results of the analysis show a SROI ratio of 2.08, which means that every Rp1.00 invested generates social benefits worth Rp2.08. This program not only has a positive impact in the form of improving community health and productivity, but also economic benefits for stakeholders such as clinics, MSMEs, and medical personnel. The results of the study provide an overview of the evaluation that can be used to improve the sustainability of similar programs in the future.

Abstract

Dates are widely consumed in Indonesia, especially during the Ramadan season. This study aims to identify innovative marketing strategies, understand date consumption patterns, and find obstacles that prevent dates from becoming a routine consumption option outside of Ramazan. The mixed-methods approach is employed, combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior, motivation, and preferences related to date consumers. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis with the assistance of NVivo software to organize the data and identify key themes. The results from 235 respondents highlight key demographic and behavioral insights. Additionally, date type and quality are key factors in customer recommendations, indicating that sellers should balance traditional marketing with catering to younger generations by creating products aligned with healthy lifestyle trends and culinary innovation. 3Kurma can demonstrate the product's versatility and premium quality. Pop-up events at malls, markets, or popular local spots in Jakarta can be a highly effective marketing strategy to build brand awareness, create a sensory experience, and engage directly with their target audience in a unique and memorable way.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at how job happiness, work motivation, and work environment affect employee performance at the PT. Gelora Mandiri Membangun. Job satisfaction comprises addressing employees' emotional needs and expectations while carrying out their duties. Work motivation is classified into inner elements, such as a sense of accomplishment and self-development, and external factors, such as financial incentives and recognition. The work environment encompasses the physical and social circumstances that either help or impede employee productivity. This study employs a quantitative approach using survey methodologies. The sample comprised of 100 purposively selected respondents. Multiple linear regression approaches were used to determine the impact of independent factors (job happiness, work motivation, and work environment) on the dependent variable (employee performance). The research findings indicate that the third independent variable, job happiness, work motivation, and work environment, has a favorable and significant impact on employee performance. Work motivation was determined to be the most important element impacting employee performance. Furthermore, regression research reveals that the combination of these three factors may account for 65% of the variation in employee performance. Thus, enhancing job happiness, motivation, and work environment will have a major impact on staff performance at PT. Gelora Mandiri Membangun. According to the findings of this research, firms should prioritize techniques that raise motivation and job satisfaction, as well as improve the work environment, in order to boost productivity. Continuous staff development and welfare enhancement activities are recommended.
