Abstract

Introduction: Currently, teenagers have a permissive attitude towards unrestricted sexual behavior, this is due to the possibility of dating which facilitates this behavior, so good self-control is needed to prevent promiscuous sexual behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between adolescent self-control and casual sexual behavior at SMKN 6 Pekanbaru. Method: This research uses a descriptive correlation design with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 100 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using probability sampling techniques with a simple random sampling method. This research uses a Likert questionnaire which is valid and reliable. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. Results: The majority of respondents had high self-control as many as 58 respondents (58.0%) and high levels of promiscuous sexual behavior as many as 63 respondents (63.0%). The results of statistical tests show that there is no relationship between adolescent self-control and casual sexual behavior with p value (0.987) alpha (0.05). Conclusion: Adolescent self-control does not have a significant relationship with casual sexual behavior. Recommendation: Education and evaluation is needed for students at SMKN 6 Pekanbaru about the negative impacts that can occur if they do not control themselves towards promiscuous sexual behavior.

Abstract

In the industrial world, the use of instrumentation equipment is very important in the production operations process of a factory. In line with the progress and development of science and technology which is increasingly rapid at this time, humans are always trying to find or create equipment that can make work easier in a process. For this reason, the equipment must be able to produce optimal measurements or detection. A valve is a device installed in a piping system whose function is to regulate, control and direct the fluid flow rate by opening, partially closing or fully closing. A simple valve is like a household water faucet. The use of this safety valve is very important to prevent excessive pressure which will cause damage to the valve and production machines. This research aims to determine the maintenance of safety valves on equipment in factories to prevent damage. In this research, the method of direct observation was used during the testing process. The research results show that damage to the valve causes a blockage in the flow from the valve to the pipe, damage to the safety valve has many factors, one of which is rust and corrosion caused by fluid passing through the valve, and errors in setting the pressure on the valve.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the Discovery Learning learning model on class V. This research was carried out in classes VB and VC at SDN 39 Pekanbaru with a total of 46 people. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, to be precise in September 2023. This research used an experimental research type with the Non Equivalent Control Group Design method. The assessment in this study used objective tests in the form of PKN questions. After these questions were created, the researcher tested the questions on a class that had studied the material on the practice of Pancasila values in daily life with 30 students in class VI of SD Negeri 39 Pekanbaru. Next, the researcher tested the validity, reliability, level of difficulty and distinguishing power of the questions. After the pretest and posttest questions were declared usable, the researcher then gave the pretest questions to the experimental class and control class. When the research data has been obtained, the researcher carries out data analysis such as descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test, N-Score test. The average pretest score in the experimental class was 36.087 while in the control class it was 83.5652. After carrying out the pretest for both classes, the researcher carried out learning according to the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). Then the final stage is to give a posttest to the two classes. The average posttest score for students in the experimental class was 83.5652, while in the control class it was 71.7391. Based on data testing, the pretest and posttest results were normally and homogeneously distributed. Because the data is normally distributed, the researcher tested the hypothesis using the t-test, and obtained significant data results where 0.000 0.05 means Ha is accepted or in the sense that the Discovery Learning learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes. So the conclusion of this research is that the Discovery Learning model has an influence on student learning outcomes in class V citizenship education at Pekanbaru 39 State Elementary School.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the body cannot use insulin produced by the pancreas effectively. Diabetics suffer from complications in regulating the body's thermoregulation. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between bedroom air temperature and blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Method: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 95 respondents taken based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using simple random sampling techniques. The instruments used are thermohygrometer and glucometer. The analysis used was the chi-square test analysis. Results: Univariate analysis found that air temperature had a normal value of 30 oC, in bedroom air temperature there were 78 respondents categorized as abnormal (mean = 31.56 oC), blood sugar levels had a normal value of 200 mg/dL, 63 respondents were found to have high blood sugar levels (mean = 227.39 mg/dL). The air temperature in an abnormal bedroom has a 6,960 times greater risk of causing high sugar levels compared to the air temperature in a normal bedroom. The results of statistical tests show that there is a significant relationship between bedroom air temperature and blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers. In this study, p-value (0.000) α (0.05) was obtained. Conclusion: The higher the bedroom air temperature ( 30 oC), the higher the blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of interest in learning on learning achievement in economics subject for class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru. Achievement of learning achievement must be achieved, namely achieving minimum completeness criteria. The better the students learning achievement, the better the quality of the individual. A situation that attracts students attention is expected to arouse students interest in learning. Students interest in learning usually results in high achievement, working based on their abilities in each lesson. Economics lessons that students consider boring are givent attention as well as learning materials that attract students interest. The number of samples in this study was 85 people, the sampling technique used simple random sampling method. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression. The measurement results for student interest in learning are in the high category, namely 55,3%, this is because students are enthusiastic in participating in the learning process so that students are able to understand the learning being delivered, listen and pay attention to the teacher explanation so that it attracts students assumptions that material being taught is interesting and not boring, and plays an active role in learning, causing high curiosity and assuming that the knowledge they have is still minimal regarding economic learning. The level of learning achievement in economics subjects obtained scores that were included in the quite good category, namely 35 people or 41.2%. This is slightly different from the frequency of learning based on the KKM, but it already meets the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Judging from the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) 65% of the variation in changes in learning achievement that occurs can be explained by variations in changes in learning interest. Meanwhile, the remaining 35% is explained by other factors not included in this research such as learning facilities and learning motivation, teacher teaching skills and learning discipline.
