Abstract

Anemia is a blood disorder that often occurs in the productive age group, especially teenagers. The high prevalence of anemia is caused by several things, including a lack of awareness and knowledge about anemia and its prevention. The aim of this education is to increase awareness of hemoglobin deficiency in adolescents. This education provides basic information about anemia, including causes, symptoms and ways to prevent it, through counseling methods or seminars and leaflets which are attended by all class X students of SMA Kalam Kudus II Jakarta. Hope through this education, individual awareness about the importance of anemia and its prevention can be increased. Furthermore, the public understands anemia better and the efforts that can be made to prevent anemia, so it is hoped that this can be a beginning in reducing the incidence of anemia in society.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang terjadi di semua negara. Kadar gula yang berlebih dalam darah yang tidak terkontrol dalam waktu yang lama dapat menimbulkan dampak serius seperti menurunkan kualitas hidup hingga kematian. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan skrining dan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan dalam upaya deteksi dini dan mencegah penyakit DM. metotode pengabdian dilakukan dnegan cara pemeriksaan kesehatan (skrining) dan penyampaian edukasi kesehatan tentang DM. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 2 warga (10%) menderita diabetes. Antusias warga selama mengikuti kegiatan edukasi juga terlihat dari 4 warga yang bertanya tentang DM. setelah pengabdian ini, diharapkan warga lebih berupaya dalam meningkatkan perilaku hidup sehat untuk mencegah penyakit DM.

Abstract

Elderly is a process of human growth and development does not occur suddenly, namely developing from infants to become elderly. Everyone's physique and behavior changes when they reach a certain age is normal. Elderly is the end of the aging process that has reached the age of 60 and over. As we get older, organ function decreases with age, which has an impact on the ability of the elderly to carry out Activity of Daily Living (ADL). This study will be held on October 22, 2023 at the KH Ahmad Dahlan Mosque Jl. S.Parman, North Belitung, West Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of independence of the elderly using the Barthel Index measurement tool through the Question and Answer method. According to the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the level of independence of the elderly in the independent category is at a good health level in accordance with the results of the study conducted on the elderly congregation of the KH. Ahmad Dahlan Mosque. The results of this service are also expected by all participants to maintain the quality of the ADL that they have done.

Abstract

Depresi di kemudian hari merupakan masalah yang signifikan dan terus berkembang. Perbedaan terkait usia dalam jenis dan tingkat keparahan gangguan depresi terus dipertanyakan dan tentu saja penilaian metode penilaian dan strategi pengobatan yang berbeda. Sejumlah tindakan geropsikiatri telah dikembangkan untuk tujuan diagnostik, untuk menilai tingkat keparahan depresi, dan mempertahankan kemajuan pengobatan. Tinjauan literatur ini mencakup pengukuran depresi yang dilaporkan secara umum dan saat ini digunakan dalam praktik geropsikologi. Masing-masing ukuran yang disertakan dipertimbangkan menurut sifat psikometriknya. Khususnya, informasi tentang ambiguitas; konvergen, divergen, dan bukti validitas faktorial berdasarkan data dari sampel klinis dan nonklinis orang lanjut usia; dan tersedianya norma-norma yang sesuai dengan usia beserta kekuatan dan kelemahan masing-masing ukuran. Hasil penelitian : menyoroti bahwa pada pasien dengan gangguan kognitif utuh atau ringan di atas 65 tahun, Skala Depresi Geriatri dan Skala Depresi Geriatri-15 saat ini tampaknya menjadi instrumen yang lebih disukai. Fungsi psikometrik dari Beck Depression Inventory-II dan Pusat Studi Epidemiologi Depresi Skala, sebaliknya, tercampur dalam populasi ini. Yang paling penting, Kata “depresi” dan “ubikuitas” sering ditemukan dalam yang sama, dan Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia mengklaim bahwa pada tahun 2020 depresi akan menyebabkan nomor dua penyakit di seluruh dunia. Selain itu, depresi tampaknya meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia, mungkin disebabkan oleh penurunan dan kelemahan fisik dan mental, yang mengakibatkan terbatasnya aktivitas dan rendahnya rasa mengendalikan kehidupan dan nasib sendiri.

Abstract

Low back pain is a condition where the lower back feels very painful and can result in hampering activities. Based on the data obtained, the community in the Gunung Pati area works as a porter and often feels pain in their lower back. Usually residents only apply balsam if they feel lower back pain. There are still many residents who underestimate these complaints and many residents are wrong when lifting heavy items.

Abstract

Stunting describes chronic malnutrition during growth and development from early life. This situation is presented with a height-for-age (TB/U) z-score value of less than -2 standard deviations (SD) based on WHO growth standards. This service aims to provide understanding to the community about stunting. The results of community service that has been carried out in Pungka village, Unter Iwes sub-district with assistance to pregnant women in preventing stunting through socialization is the right way to provide information about preventing stunting to pregnant women and the community in general. better understand and apply ways to prevent stunting and start adopting the habit of providing nutritious food and clean and healthy living habits. The conclusion of this counseling was that several things were conveyed, namely awareness of the importance of health and the importance of development from the beginning of a mother's pregnancy to the child's growth and development to prevent the golden generation from occurring in a condition or problem called stunting

Abstract

. Rabies, also called mad dog disease, is an acute infectious disease of the central nervous system caused by the rabies virus. Every year more than 55,000 people die from rabies and more than 15 million people throughout the world receive prophylactic anti-rabies vaccine treatment. How rabies is transmitted through bites and non-bites (scratches or licks on open skin/mucosa) by animals infected with the rabies virus. This activity aims to increase public knowledge regarding the spread of rabies. This community service activity method consists of several stages, including dialogue and coordination with partners, preparation facilities and infrastructure, implementation of activities and evaluation. The activity was carried out in the form of education regarding rabies and its spread. This activity was attended by 32 participants in the Bugis sub-district RT 03/ RW 04. The participation and activeness of the residents in taking part in this activity was very good, as evidenced by the participants being able to answer almost all the questions in the posttest. Re-exposure was given to participants who were unable to answer or answered incorrectly on the posttest. It is hoped that this activity can become a routine and sustainable rabies prevention effort to eradicate rabies in the district. Sumbawa.

Abstract

This community service aims to prevent sexual violence against children and teenagers in Kawatu Negeri Honitetu Hamlet, Inamosso District, West Seram Regency. The issue being faced is the high rate of sexual violence that occurs among children and teenagers in the area. The focus of this service is to provide knowledge and understanding to the community regarding the dangers of sexual violence, the importance of child protection, and preventative steps that can be taken. The method used in this research is a participatory approach through collaboration with the local community. Initial steps involve an in-depth understanding of the social and cultural situation of the village. Next, the research team interacted with local residents, community leaders, and relevant institutions to understand the challenges faced and build trust. This sexual violence prevention program includes several components. First, counseling and education is carried out through workshops, group discussions, and delivery of material to children, teenagers, parents, and educators in the village. The material presented includes identifying signs of sexual violence, how to report incidents, and self-protection efforts. The results of this community service include increasing public knowledge and awareness about sexual violence and how to prevent it. Society has become more sensitive to the signs of sexual violence in children and adolescents, and is able to take appropriate steps to protect them. In addition, the formation of a community network that cares about the issue of sexual violence helps strengthen prevention and protection efforts in Kawatu Negeri Honitetu Hamlet, Inamosso District, West Seram Regency.

Abstract

Mental disorders are one of the health problems that arise due to changes in the ability to think or behave due to disturbances in a person's psychological, biological, social, genetic and physical functions. The method we use is by conducting outreach. To increase understanding and the role of families in carrying out hygiene care, it is necessary to increase education in the form of counseling about strategies and tactics for maintaining cleanliness and appearance for family members who experience mental disorders. The aim of this outreach activity is to provide understanding as well as train families in carrying out care and teach patients to carry out daily activities and exercises such as: bathing, dressing, combing hair, cutting nails and washing hands independently. Abstract

Anemia is a nutritional problem that is common throughout the world, not only in developing countries but also in developed countries. According to WHO, the incidence of anemia in adolescents is common in developing countries, Indonesia is a developing country. One way to prevent anemia is to use the CERIA application from the Ministry of Health. The CERIA application can monitor young women in monitoring their development and routine of taking blood supplement tablets every week. The aim of this community service is to provide preventive education based on the CERIA application in preventing anemia for young women at SMK X. The method used is the CERIA application from the Ministry of Health. The population is 21 female students consisting of representatives from each class X, XI, XII and members of the OSIS of SMK with a mean of 79.13. This means that female students experienced an increase in scores on knowledge about anemia. The results of the analysis showed that there was an increase in scores before and after being given the intervention, namely the socialization of anemia prevention in young women based on the CERIA application. It is hoped that this program will be able to prevent and manage adolescent girls who experience anemia so that the health status of adolescents can improve.
