Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced science and technology has produced many innovations in meeting the needs of mankind. One area that is developing comprehensively is robotic technology, one of which is obstacle avoidance robots which is an example of a device used to improve the safety and effectiveness of human work. This study aims to design and develop obstacle avoidance robots using the PID (Proportional, Integral, and Derivative) method and ultrasonic sensors. Robots are designed to automatically detect and avoid obstacles in their environment by using ultrasonic sensors to measure the distance between the robot and existing objects. The PID method is used to control the movement of the robot based on information received from the ultrasonic sensor with Arduino Uno as the main brain controlling the DC motor. Ultrasonic sensors are used to measure the distance between the robot and obstacles in front of it. The distance data obtained from the ultrasonic sensor is then processed using the PID method to produce a control signal that regulates the speed and direction of the robot's movement. The robot is equipped with an obstacle avoidance mechanism that allows it to change its direction of movement automatically when it detects an obstacle in front of it by testing it in various obstacle avoidance scenarios. The results of the tests that have been carried out show that the robot is able to detect different obstacles with high accuracy and avoid them successfully. The use of the PID method in controlling the robot's movement has proven to be effective in maintaining the stability and accuracy of the robot's movement. This research contributes to the development of robotics and automation technology by presenting an obstacle avoidance robot that can move automatically and avoid obstacles effectively.

Abstract

Electrical equipment often faces various issues, with insulation problems being a major cause of failure. This article investigates the comparative effectiveness of two Partial Discharge (PD) detection methods: using Transient Earth Voltage (TEV) sensors and Resistor-Capacitor (RC) detectors. The study was conducted on a metal box with a voltage level of 6 kV. Data collected included Background Noise (BGN) and Partial Discharge Inception Voltage (PDIV), processed using Microsoft Excel and OriginPro 9. Results indicate a correlation between higher BGN values on TEV sensors and earlier PDIV occurrence on those sensors. Background noise significantly impacts the PDIV threshold, influencing sensitivity and insulation risk potential. While PDIV provides a threshold guideline, correlation with BGN helps illustrate the background conditions' influence on PD measurement outcomes. The study offers insights into the importance of considering noise in PD measurements and formulates recommendations for practitioners to choose appropriate detection methods based on specific environmental conditions and electrical equipment.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is a significant influence between information technology on employee performance at PT. Sarana Mitratama Sejati Jakarta. This research consists of two variables, namely information technology (independent variable or variable X) and employee performance (dependent variable or variable Y). The population in this study is all employees as many as 40 employees. Sampling in this study using a sampling technique saturated, that is, all populations in this study were used as samples.The samples used in this study were 40 employees of PT Sarana Mitratama Sejati and data collection techniques were through questionnaires.Data processing in this study used the IBM SPSS version 25 program to calculate the test validity, reliability test, classic assumption test, simple linear regression test and hypothesis testing.The test results show that information technology has a positive and significant impact on employee performance at PT Sarana Mitratama Sejati Jakarta.

Abstract

The ever-evolving digital world has made computer security an increasingly important and urgent issue. Computer security refers to a set of practices, policies and technologies designed to protect computer systems, networks and data from threats such as cyber attacks, data theft and software damage. The purpose of this research is to compare DRAM memory and SRAM memory in computer security systems. This research uses the library research method, which is the collection of information or scientific papers related to literature reviews that are literature. the selection between DRAM and SRAM must consider physical and software security needs, as well as system performance and power consumption.

Abstract

Tire pressure requirements may vary for different vehicles depending on factors such as the brand, load, and tire type. Inadequate tire pressure can result in suboptimal braking performance. This study aims to examine the impact of tire pressure variations on the efficiency of the main brake and parking brake in vehicles. The brake tester was utilized to conduct experiments on pickup goods vehicles with a GVWR less than 3,500 kg. The findings reveal that tire pressure has a significant influence on the efficiency of the main brake and parking brake. Higher tire pressure corresponds to lower efficiency values for both brakes, while lower tire pressure yields higher efficiency values. It is crucial to raise awareness among vehicle owners about the importance of maintaining proper tire pressure as it directly impacts braking performance and overall vehicle safety.

Abstract

The development of technology towards mobile application trends has become an important part of everyday life. This development trend provides some transformation in various industrial sectors that can increase productivity, so a deep understanding of this mobile application development trend is needed. This research aims to give systematically review trends which is used in mobile application development in Indonesia using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which is a structured method for studying relevant literature. The result of data collection through Google Scholar produced 81 relevant scientific articles over the 2019-2023 period. The results of this research showed that mobile application development trends in Indonesia include 5G, artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, augmented reality, and blockchain. From the results of the review that has been conducted, augmented reality became the trend of mobile application development that dominated Indonesia.

Abstract

CV YZX is a manufacturing company in the stainless steel hardware sector that specializes in hardware and detailing. This company actively produces for the needs of individual consumers and orders from other companies. One of the problems faced by CV YZX is the use of production machines that are less than optimal at every stage of the production process. Production machine performance that is not optimal can increase the total value of production time (makespan), which in turn can cause delays in completing products and delivery to consumers. This research aims to find the minimum total production time value by applying the Campbell Dudek Smith method to production scheduling. The calculation results show that by applying the First Come First Serve (FCFS) production scheduling method, the company obtained a makespan of 39.64 hours. However, by using the proposed method, namely Campbell Dudek Smith (CDS) in production scheduling, the results of the makespan calculation show a figure of 33.58 hours. A comparison of the two methods shows that the proposed scheduling using the Campbell Dudek Smith method has a lower makespan value compared to the company method (FCFS), resulting in time savings of 6.06 hours or the equivalent of 15,3%.

Abstract

One of the important parts that ensures the availability of electrical energy supplies which takes place from the central power plant and then through the transmission line to distribution to the load is the insulator. However, over time, insulators can experience anomalies such as corrosion. Insulator corrosion can be caused by many environmental factors, including pollution, humidity, high temperatures and exposure to chemicals. Previously, maintenance personnel usually identified the level of corrosion on insulators visually by using their knowledge and experience through routine inspection activities to check the condition of the insulators. This technique, however, takes a long time and is often subjective. Therefore, in this research, the way to detect the degree of corrosion on insulators is by using image processing and using active contour segmentation to determine the degree of corrosion on insulators and using decision trees as a method to create a classification model for the degree of corrosion. This can help reduce reliance on subjective human judgment, increase the effectiveness of the recognition process, and optimize overall isolator maintenance efforts. The application created in this research has a user interface that makes it easier to process images of corrosion insulators. The front page, practice page, and test page comprise this interface. Meanwhile, the results of classification using a decision tree for the low category are in the ratio x1 < 0.082104, the medium category is in the ratio 0.082104 =< x1 < 0.15061, and the high category is in the ratio x1 >= 0.15061 with an accuracy result obtained of 93.33% for test image data and recall and precision values ​​obtained 100% results.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy from year to year influences the need for electrical energy at every level of the general public and industry as electricity users. Because electricity has become a part of life (Roza, 2019). In this case, there are separate challenges that must be faced by every company operating in the electricity supply sector, especially the State Electricity Company (PLN), which is the sole company in serving electrical energy needs. The power generation centers are far from the load center, this results in quite large losses in the distribution of electric power. So, when distributing electrical power through transmission and distribution, voltage drops will occur along the line. The length of the distribution channel from the substation to the distribution transformer or from the distribution transformer to the load (Roza, 2019).

Abstract

PT Gerbang Saranabaja is a company engaged in the steel fabrication and construction industry. The type of Engineer-to-order request in the production process causes the products produced to have their own characteristics and specifications according to client requests so that in the production process there is still waste caused by various factors. The purpose of this research is to identify critical waste with the Waste Assessment Model method, find out the root cause of critical waste with Root Cause Analyst and produce alternative recommendations for improvement with 5W + 1H Analysis in the production process at PT Gerbang Saranabaja. The results showed that the crisis waste in the production process was Motion with a final value of 0.00387, defect with a final value of 0.00354 and Inventory with a final value of 0.00345. The crisis waste that occurs is caused by various interrelated things and the alternative improvements that can be made are to improve team coordination in various aspects, evaluate and optimize the layout of the work area, increase awareness of work quality through training, review and improve production capacity planning and optimize line balancing in the production area.
