Abstract

This study examines the pandek traditional work system in ornamental grass farming in Sukolilo Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency, as a form of social capital that supports the sustainability of farmer communities. Pandek is a traditional work pattern without formal contracts based on trust, norms of reciprocity, and kinship networks. The research uses a qualitative approach with an explanatory case study method, and is analyzed through Putnam's social capital theory, specifically the concepts of bonding and bridging capital. The results show that the pandek system helps farmers save up to 20% of production costs through efficiency based on social solidarity. Bonding capital is evident in the relationship between large farmers who share information and resources, while the relationship between farmers and pandek laborers forms a patron-client pattern as a form of bridging capital. This system supports sustainability in three key aspects: economic (efficiency and job stability), social (cohesion and equitable resource distribution), and ecological (chemical-free agricultural practices). However, this system harbors a paradox: sustainability is achieved through unequal labor relations and low labor wages. Therefore, policy innovation based on strengthening social capital is needed to create more equitable sustainability at the local level.

Abstract

It is recorded at the Coordinating Ministry for Cooperatives and SMEs that the number of micro businesses has reached 63.96 million, businesses small businesses reached 193,959, and small businesses medium enterprises reached 44,728. The difference in the number of micro- enterprises, medium-sized enterprises small, and business This fairly large middle class shows that there is still at least MSME entrepreneurs, especially micro-entrepreneurs, are not yet brave enough to expand their businesses. Business expansion is influenced by several factors, one of which is consumer behavior. MSME entrepreneurs in taking risks. This is in line with the perspective businessman Where high risk high return. This paradigm is very interesting to observe and empirically test how the behavior of Micro entrepreneurs in taking risks have an impact on the implementation of the business expansion strategy that will be carried out. Many previous studies have examined risk - taking behavior. However Not yet Some measure its impact on business expansion strategies. In previous research, Risk Taking Behavior was only discussed in terms of the risk profile of entrepreneurs, without looking at the factors that influence risk-taking decisions from entrepreneurs to form Risk-taking characteristics. Risk-taking behavior in this research is linked to the business expansion strategies implemented by micro- entrepreneurs. This test is based on the perspective that every business expansion carries risks, which must be addressed. taken into account by entrepreneurs to reduce its impact on the business being run. In this study, the indicators that will be used to see the variables from Risk Taking Behavior is knowledge and ability micro entrepreneurs in running their businesses, the framework thinking, each individual's preference for risk, each individual's perception of risk, organizational culture and structure, family member involvement, gender, characteristics Personality, self -confidence, self -reflection, self -control, anxiety in taking risks, and individual relationships with business partners. Meanwhile, the indicator for identifying factors influencing internal business expansion strategies is knowledge. micro entrepreneurs towards financially. Micro entrepreneurs need to know how much power financially to make a decision its expansion. This research is a assessment quantitative experimental studies between subjects. Where the data to be used is primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires and also secondary data obtained from various sources such as websites, books, and journals. Data processing in this study will use the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The SEM model developed in this study is an SEM model with indicators formative. Abstract

The Affordable Staple Rice Program (BPM) is an agricultural innovation introduced by the Padang City Agriculture Office with the aim of reducing production costs while maintaining rice field productivity. This research is important because the success of an innovation is determined not only by technology but also by the perceptions of farmers, the primary users. This study aims to describe farmers' perceptions of the BPM Program in Kuranji Village. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study. Informants were selected through snowball sampling, with the head of the Anugrah Farmers Group as the key informant, followed by farmer members, the surrounding community, and representatives from the Padang City Agriculture Office. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The results showed that farmers perceived the BPM program as providing tangible benefits, particularly in reducing production costs from an average of IDR 10,000,000 to around IDR 7,000,000 per hectare and increasing yields from 3.5 tons/ha to 4.1 tons/ha, although still lower than the previous average of 5.55 tons/ha. Farmers also find it easier to maintain their rice fields because the use of straw mulch reduces weeds and maintains soil moisture. However, challenges encountered in the field include limited labor, difficulties in initial adaptation to new methods, and the need for ongoing support. Overall, the BPM program is perceived as beneficial, but it still requires evaluation and improvement for sustainability and wider adoption. Keywords: Farmer Perception, BPM, Agricultural Innovation, Production Costs

Abstract

Prof Dr S Nasution in his book entitled Curriculum and Teaching states that the curriculum is a series of plans to facilitate the teaching and learning process. The plans prepared are the responsibility of educational institutions and the teachers there. Meanwhile, in the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, article 1 number 19, it is stated that the curriculum is a set of arrangements and plans regarding objectives, content and learning materials as well as the methods used to guide learning activities. to achieve educational goals. It is important for every school to have a curriculum as a guide for teachers. It could even be said that if there is no curriculum then learning at school cannot run well. This research uses a data collection approach using participant observation, documentation studies, and interviews. Here there are 3 aspects in implementing an independent curriculum, namely planning the implementation of an independent curriculum, implementing an independent curriculum and evaluating independent curriculum learning. Independent curriculum planning at SD Negeri 060833 Medan Petisah District, Medan City and analyzing learning outcomes (CP) to formulate learning objectives and the flow of learning objectives, planning diagnostic assessments, developing learning modules that adapt learning to the stages and characteristics of student achievement and planning formative and summative assessments . Implementation of an independent curriculum at SD Negeri 060833 Medan Petisah District, Medan City by carrying out diagnostic assessments, carrying out learning according to project-based teaching modules, as well as carrying out formative and summative assessments. Evaluation of learning to implement the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 060833 Medan Petisah District, Medan City, by carrying out diagnostic assessments, carrying out and processing formative and summative assessments. The author suggests that SD Negeri 060833 Medan Petisah District, Medan City, continue to monitor and develop itself by continuing to improve the curriculum for better school quality. Apart from that, the success of schools in implementing an independent curriculum must also be socialized to schools that have not implemented it.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee competence and its influence on service quality at the Central Sulawesi Public Service Mall. The population of this study is the community that uses the services of the Central Sulawesi Province Public Service Mall, while the sample of this study was determined using the accidental sampling technique. This technique is used with the consideration that the sample of this study is all people who come and use services at the Public Service Mall. This means that anyone who comes and is served will be used as a research sample. The data collection technique in this study uses observation and research questionnaires, while the data analysis of this study uses descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that employee competence has a significant effect on service quality at the Central Sulawesi Public Service Mall. This is indicated by the results of the regression test which confirms that competence has a real contribution to improving the quality of public services. Meanwhile, the results of descriptive statistics show that the knowledge dimension is the most dominant aspect of competence, while the trait dimension, especially the ability to deal with pressure, is still low. On the other hand, the highest service quality is seen in the assurance aspect, while the reliability dimension still needs to be improved, especially in relation to complaint resolution

Abstract

Hate speech on social media is a growing concern that threatens social harmony and political stability in Indonesia. While prior studies mostly examine legal and technological aspects, limited attention is given to leaders’ communication styles and their cultural foundations. This study analyzes President Joko Widodo’s communication style in responding to hate speech on social media during 2019–2024, with emphasis on Javanese philosophical values. A qualitative case study was conducted through analysis of official documents, presidential speeches, social media content, policy texts, and related literature, applying thematic analysis to identify communication patterns and cultural elements. The findings indicate that Jokowi’s communication emphasizes inclusiveness, public education, and digital literacy promotion. His responses prioritize constructive dialogue and avoid emotional reactions, framed within Javanese values such as tepo sliro and mikul dhuwur mendhem jero. These approaches help reduce hate speech escalation and reinforce public trust and cohesion. Jokowi’s culturally rooted communication strategy effectively mitigates hate speech while fostering unity in Indonesia’s diverse society. Practically, the study offers guidance for policymakers and leaders to integrate cultural values into digital-era communication strategies. Theoretically, it contributes to political communication studies by showing the role of local philosophy in shaping leadership responses to online challenges.
