Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of non-parental care involvement, especially professional caregivers such as nannies, on the dynamics of sibling rivalry in early childhood. This study uses a qualitative approach with systematic literature review and digital ethnography methods to examine in-depth the experiences of families and children who are cared for by non-parental figures. Data were collected from international empirical studies published between 2014-2024, focusing on children aged 2-6 years. The results showed that the involvement of non- parental caregivers significantly influenced interaction patterns between siblings. Three patterns of involvement were found: intensive, moderate and minimal, each of which had a different impact on the frequency and form of rivalry between siblings. In intensive parenting patterns, the phenomenon of triangulated competition emerged where children compete not only for parental attention, but also emotional validation from caregivers. Meanwhile, good quality and integrated caregiver engagement can reduce conflict and improve children's social skills. The findings emphasize the importance of consistency, caregiver training, and parental emotional involvement in mitigating the negative impacts of non-parental care. This study makes a theoretical contribution through the application of symbolic-interactionism in explaining the negotiation of meaning and the formation of children's social identity in the context of modern families.

Abstract

The Blue Economy and Sustainable Development are two interrelated concepts that mutually reinforce one another. Both hold great potential, especially in regions like Luwu Raya, which has rich marine and coastal resources. However, the practical implementation of the blue economy faces a number of significant challenges. This research aims to explore the potentials and barriers to realizing sustainable development through the blue economy in Luwu Raya. The study employs field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through purposive sampling, selecting participants based on criteria most relevant to the research objectives. The analysis technique utilized is content analysis, which allows for in-depth and systematic examination of various data sources. Data triangulation was also conducted to ensure the validity of the findings. The results indicate that while Luwu Raya has promising marine and fishery resources, several key challenges hinder progress. These include limited innovation in processing marine products into high value-added commodities, low public awareness and literacy regarding environmental sustainability, and minimal adoption of eco-friendly technologies. Although the use of simple fishing gear is environmentally sustainable, it does not contribute significantly to economic growth, thus falling short of blue economy principles. Among all challenges, waste management and environmental pollution emerge as the most pressing issues, as they impact the economic, social, and ecological dimensions of sustainable development. Addressing this through circular economy strategies and targeted government policies could generate employment, boost local incomes, and reduce pollution— ultimately supporting the realization of sustainable development in Luwu Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the factors that affect the Return on Equity (ROE) at the Jakarta Regional Development Bank (BPD) during the period 2017Q1–2024Q4. Using a multiple regression approach, the variables tested included BOPO (Operating Costs to Operating Income), NPLs (Non-Performing Loans), LDR (Loan to Deposit Ratio), and Reserve Requirements (Minimum Required Current Accounts). The regression results showed that BOPO and NPL had a significant negative influence on ROE, while LDR and reserve requirement had a significant positive influence. This regression model has an R-squared of 0.9570, which indicates that almost 96% of the variation in ROE can be explained by the variables studied. This research confirms that operational efficiency and credit risk management are very important in increasing bank profitability. Therefore, it is recommended that BPD DKI Jakarta focus on reducing operational costs, strengthening credit risk management, and managing balanced liquidity to maximize ROE. These findings provide practical insights for strategic policy making in improving the financial performance of regional development banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of ROE, BOPO, NPL, LDR, NIM, and reserve requirement on profitability as measured by Return on Assets (ROA) in four Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia, namely BPD DKI Jakarta, BPD Central Java, BPD DIY, and BPD East Java during the period 2017Q1 to 2024Q4. The method used is panel data regression using the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM) approaches. The results of the Chow test showed that FEM was better than CEM, while Hausman's test showed that FEM was also more accurate than REM. Thus, the best model used is the Fixed Effect Model. The results of the analysis showed that the variables ROE, NPL, LDR, NIM, and GWM had a positive and significant effect on ROA, while BOPO had a negative and significant effect. The NIM variable is the most dominant factor in increasing profitability, while BOPO is the main obstacle. These findings confirm the importance of operational efficiency and interest margin management in improving BPD's financial performance. This research provides implications for BPD management to focus more on cost control strategies and interest income optimization to increase profitability in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media marketing strategies in increasing customer satisfaction and repurchase intentions through brand equity on e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method . A total of 150 respondents who are active e-commerce users in the Jabodetabek area became the research sample. The results of the study indicate that social media marketing activities have a significant positive effect on brand equity , which is mediated by brand love and brand trust . In addition, brand equity has a direct relationship with customer satisfaction , which then affects repurchase intention . This study also reveals that interactive, responsive, and relevant social media marketing strategies contribute to increasing emotional connections between consumers and brands, which are important factors in building long-term loyalty. Positive experiences felt by consumers through interactions on social media not only improve their perceptions of the brand but also create deep trust relationships. The practical implications of this study indicate that business actors need to pay attention to the elements of transparency, consistency, and personalization in every marketing activity they do on social media. With this approach, businesses can create added value to brand equity while increasing customer retention. This study also emphasizes the importance of utilizing technology such as artificial intelligence to support more effective real-time interactions with consumers. This strategy is believed to not only be able to improve brand image, but also motivate consumers to make consistent repeat purchases. Therefore, this study provides a significant contribution, both in the academic context and managerial practice, especially in helping e-commerce businesses in Indonesia to develop more innovative and sustainable social media-based marketing strategies.

Abstract

Stunting and malnutrition remain significant public health issues in Pandeglang District, including in the Mekarjaya Subdistrict. Effective intervention requires cross-sectoral collaboration among stakeholders such as local government, health workers, communities, and other actors. This study aims to analyze the forms of stakeholder collaboration in addressing stunting and malnutrition cases, identify existing challenges, and formulate strategies to strengthen local-level cooperation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving key informants such as the subdistrict head, head of the public health center, village heads, and posyandu (integrated health post) cadres. The findings show that the collaboration among stakeholders remains sectoral and lacks systematic integration. Weak coordination, the absence of local regulations, and underutilized local potential and wisdom are the main obstacles. However, there is potential for improvement through the establishment of intersectoral forums, capacity building for community health workers, and localized program adaptation. The study recommends developing collaborative local regulations and sustainable coordination mechanisms to accelerate the reduction of stunting and malnutrition in a holistic manner.
