Abstract

The Independent Learning of the Independent Campus (MBKM)  which was launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology was the answer to the demands of the world of work today and in the future. This study aims to determine the students' understanding of the architectural study program at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Flores regarding the implementation of the independent learning policy on an independent campus (MBKM). This study uses a survey method conducted on all students of the architectural study program, totaling 238 people by filling out the link on SPADA DIKTI. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that 14% of students in the Architecture study program did not know anything about the content of the MBKM policy, 42% knew a little, 31% knew most of the content of the policy and 13% knew the policy as a whole. However, 77% of students stated that they were very interested in the MBKM program and 74% were very interested in recommending the program to their relatives or colleagues.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of social media use on academic procrastination of Muhammadiyah University students of Palangkaraya. The research method used is quantitative. The population of this study was 2714, while the sample was 349 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to students. Statistical testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicated that the significance value is 0.013 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the intensity of social media use on academic procrastination of Muhammadiyah University students of Palangkaraya.

Abstract

Salt hydrolysis material is one of the chemical materials that is abstract and difficult for students to understand. Therefore, learning media are needed that are able to increase understanding by using interactive power-point. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the use of guided inquiry-based interactive power-point learning media on salt hydrolysis material on the learning outcomes of class XI students at MAN 2 Padang City. This experimental research uses the Nonequivalent Control-Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA at MAN 2 Padang City consisting of 9 classes in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling method. The research instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test that has been tested for validity, reliability, item discriminating power, and a good index of difficulty. Data were analyzed using the n-gain test and hypothesis testing with independent sample t-test. The results of the data analysis show that the experimental class has a higher n-gain compared to the control class in the medium category. In addition, the results of the hypothesis test show a significance value (sig) of less than 0.05, so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. From the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry-based interactive Power-Point learning media on salt hydrolysis material is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Faith and piety education at SD Negeri Kragilan 01 is not supported by extracurricular activities or additional hours at school. The independent curriculum in improving the religious character of students then holds a JUMAJI program in strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in the dimensions of faith and piety. The purpose of this study is to describe the application and constraints of the Jumaji program in strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in the dimensions of faith and piety at Kragilan 01 State Elementary School. This type of research is qualitative research. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study can be concluded that, 1) Jumaji activities include reading the Qur'an, memorizing short letters, listening to lectures/motivational teachers and giving alms. The program has fulfilled the aspects of the Pancasila student profile of the dimensions of faith and piety, namely religious morals, personal morals, morals to nature, morals to fellow human beings, morals to the state. 2) The obstacles to the implementation of the Jumaji program include; Lack of time consistency in implementation, different reading abilities of students, lack of infrastructure facilities, the surrounding environment, namely limited space and the influence of friends.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of computational thinking-based learning and its results. Through this research, it can be seen how to integrate computational thinking in learning as well as knowing students' abilities to use the foundation of computational thinking in the learning process. Research using descriptive method with a qualitative research approach. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The subjects in this study were 25 students in class V A at SD Kanisius Kadirojo, subdistrict Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Data analysis in this study used student questionnaires, student worksheets, written tests, and interview guide sheets. From this research, it can be seen that computational thinking can be integrated into learning by using computational thinking foundations in solving problems according to learning materials. Learning in this study uses the foundation of pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms. Students can use these foundations indicated by 80% mastering pattern recognition skills, 72% mastering abstraction skills, and 100% mastering algorithm skills. The ability of students to understand learning material is also very good, shown by 76% of students passing the KKM. Students also feel happy with this computational-based learning and feel challenged by using the foundation

Abstract

The implementation of Computational Thinking (CT) integration in project-based learning on alternative energy topics has been carried out. This study aims to find out and hone the level of understanding of students in solving problems in alternative energy material. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Respondents for this study were 19 class III students of SD Negeri Plaosan 1. The data collection method used was field observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive data reduction, data display, and conclusion delivery. The results of the study show that the implementation of CT in elementary school learning of alternative energy materials can reveal all of CT's foundations, namely decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithms, and abstraction. In addition, the teacher's ability to carry out CT-integrated learning on alternative energy material achieves a score of 92% or includes "good". While the learning outcomes of students obtained a complete percentage with a score of 89.5% and student responses reached a score of 91% so that students responded positively.

Abstract

Current mathematics education should meet requirements that involve critical thinking skills, real-world relevance, the use of technology, and communication and collaboration abilities. In this regard, students need to have good numeracy skills, which involve the ability to use numbers and mathematical symbols in everyday problem-solving, such as calculations and data interpretation. Numeracy skills are important in shaping responsible and competent individuals. Additionally, problem-solving strategies are also at the core of mathematics teaching. Research has shown that the use of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) instructional model has positive consequences for mathematical problem-solving proficiency. With the CIRC model, students can effectively improve their numeracy skills and mathematical problem-solving strategies. This research was conducted using a quantitative method, t-test, and paired sample test. The research subjects consisted of 50 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Tungkal Jaya. Data was collected through documents, observations, and tests. Data analysis was done by conducting a paired sample t-test to assess the significance of the influence of CIRC learning on students' problem-solving competence. It is important to conduct further research involving larger samples and considering factors that may potentially affect learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the e-jigsaw learning model to improve student collaboration skills. This research is an educational development research which is adapted from the development model according to Borg & Gall. The instrument used in this research is a collaboration skills questionnaire. The skills assessment was carried out for first semester students where two classes came from a state university and one class came from a private university. The results of the development are e-jigsaw learning learning model products. From the results of the research and development stages that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the e-jigsaw learning model is effective for improving collaboration skills.

Abstract

Education Transformation in Indonesia is now demanded to be faster and able to produce students who are not only proficient in reading and writing but also students who have skills in matters directly related to problem solving in real life. The ability to think critically, apply creativity, work together, solve problems and be communicative are some of the abilities that are the main capital in 21th Century Learning besides other abilities such as reading, writing science and mathematics. The purpose of this study is in accordance with the existing problem formulation, namely to determine the effect of differentiated learning on the computational thinking abilities of elementary school students. In this study the authors used a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research methods. The research design used was Time Series Design Intervention Analysis. The selection of the method and design of this study took into account the implementation of repeated treatments. The results of testing the hypothesis using the paired sample t-test from the pre-test and post-test data in series 1, 2, and 3 show the results t-count> t-table. In the series one t-count obtained is 7.319. In series 2 the t-count got a value of 9.729 and in series 3 the t-count was 11.660. The results obtained were that the Computational Thinking ability of elementary school students had increased after being treated with Differentiated Learning.

Abstract

The ability to observe, apply concepts, and draw conclusions is an important aspect of science learning. However, there are still students who have low proficiency in these skills. This can hinder their understanding of concepts and their ability to learn scientific knowledge. This research aims to enhance students' abilities in observing, applying concepts, and drawing conclusions in the subject of ecology and biodiversity through practical-based learning in Class VII B of SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. The research conducted is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The procedural design of this CAR consists of two cycles, each cycle comprising four steps: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The results indicate that practical-based learning effectively improves students' abilities in observing, applying concepts, and drawing conclusions. There was a significant improvement in observation skills from the pre-cycle to Cycle 2, with the average score increasing from 55 to 84. 87% of the students achieved a high category in observation skills. There was also a good improvement in the ability to apply concepts, with the average score increasing from 55 to 77, and 60% of the students achieving a high category. Similarly, there was a significant improvement in the ability to draw conclusions, with the average score increasing from 47 to 72, and 60% of the students achieving a high category. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that practical-based learning effectively enhances students' abilities in observing, applying concepts, and drawing conclusions.
