Abstract

SLB YPAC Pangkal Pinang is one of the schools that provides educational services for children with special needs. This community service departs from the visit of the University of Bangka Belitung to YPAC Pangkal Pinang, In the meeting, there were several things that were of concern as an effort to create collaboration in the development of education for children with special needs. To the Collaboration of UBB and YPAC, at this time we from Mechanical Engineering will focus on children with disabilities, currently our partners from the Foundation for the Education of Disabled Children complain about the absence of tools for children with disabilities, the results of our interview with the chairman of YPAC Pangkal Pinang that children with disabilities will be better if given a tool for them to practice walking, so that they can immediately feel the sensation of walking like humans in general even though it uses aids. Currently we have succeeded in making a walker for children with disabilities and can be utilized by YPAC Pangkal Pinang. The tool can function as it should and we make the tool more flexible to be used by several children of different ages.

Abstract

Distilling citronella produces quite a large amount of citronella leaf waste. Each harvest season produces around two tons of wet citronella leaves which are then distilled to produce essential oil, leaving behind waste. Based on this, service was carried out in Jada Bahrin Village through outreach in processing citronella leaf waste into paper. It is hoped that this service can support the priority development of the 2017-2045 National Research Master Plan which focuses on the food-agriculture sector while still referring to the Bangka Belitung University Community Service Strategic Plan for 2021-2025.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to improve soft skills, especially in terms of appreciation of children's literature. The target is children in shelter homes who are still rarely touched by literacy programs in general. This activity is a response to the low level of literacy in children in Indonesia. The focus is on literacy applications for elementary school children, especially for marginalized children in shelter homes. The expected output of the program is an increase in the ability of children in the Hope Central shelter house to appreciate children's literature through picture story literacy. The implementation of this activity consists of three stages including participants' identification and classification, visual literacy-based training, qualitative assessment, and post-training monitoring. The results of the activity show that first, some children still have difficulty reading, especially in compound sentences. Second, picture stories help children understand complex sentences and story content in independent reading sessions. Third, children are able to appreciate children's literature through picture stories. Fourth, independent reading becomes a mandatory schedule before the regular learning program in the shelter.

Abstract

One very important aspect in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is business legality. Community service activities related to assistance in creating business legality through Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Home Industry Food Production Certificates (SPP-IRT) are aimed at MSMEs in East Surya Village, Bangka Regency. The aim of this activity is to provide assistance to East Surya Subdistrict MSMEs regarding creating accounts and procedures for processing legalities through Online Single Submission (OSS). The method for implementing this service activity is divided into three stages, namely observation, counseling regarding NIB and SPP-IRT, and implementation of mentoring. The number of MSMEs that have been recorded by the UBB Surya Timur KKN-T team is 19 MSMEs and 5 MSMEs have successfully created NIBs and 1 SPP-IRT person. This process takes 14 days. The availability of legality for MSME actors is very important for the existence and development of MSMEs considering that the NIB is an identification mark for every business actor, both individual and non-individual businesses. By having a Business Identification Number and a Home Industry Food Production Certificate, MSMEs have valid identification in carrying out their business activities, so that they can obtain legitimacy and official recognition from the government. The various benefits obtained from the existence of NIB and SPP-IRT help MSME players in developing their products, in this case in the form of consumer and business partner confidence in the product as well as increasing the self-confidence of MSME players to be more competitive in developing business products and the type of business they run.

Abstract

KOTAKU Bangka Regency, is a program that focuses on addressing slum areas within Bangka Regency. Improving the quality of the residential environment is a mandate from the government outlined in the 2020-2040 RPJMN (National Medium-Term Development Plan). This involves enhancing the quality of slum areas, preventing the growth of new slum settlements, and promoting sustainable living. When planning an area, spatial data is crucial to support the planning process. Currently, the available spatial data is in the form of digital maps from Google Earth, but the quality is subpar, often appearing blurry and unreadable due to cloud cover. Spatial data can be processed through aerial photos taken using drones. However, Bangka Regency's "KOTAKU" program faces several challenges, including a lack of expertise in drone-based documentation, such as capturing photos and videos, as well as mapping and processing aerial photos in Geographic Information Systems. Therefore, outreach programs on drone operation and aerial photo processing for mapping are essential to enhance the knowledge of the community, especially stakeholders involved in area planning. The method employed in this community engagement activity is POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling). Evaluation, specifically in the "controlling" phase, includes providing questionnaires to assess the partners' understanding of the knowledge imparted. Based on the evaluation results, it is evident that the mapping training provided enhances the partners' knowledge and is beneficial as it addresses various issues and fulfills the partners' needs.

Abstract

Green technology through the implementation of hydroponic-based urban farming as an icon for the Surya Timur sub-district in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province can become a brand awareness activity in order to promote and increase competitiveness so that it becomes a productive area after massive tin mining activities in the area. This activity began with coordination with the Village Head and Chair of the Surya Timur’s PKK in order to ensure readiness to implement the program as driving cadres. Apart from that, this activity involves hydroponic practitioners as assistants in managing hydroponic activities which include sowing, planting, caring for, and harvesting hydroponic commodities. It is hoped that optimizing the sub-district website can become an effective promotional medium in documenting these activities so that they can become a superior profile and be widely known by the public. This is expected to increase the opportunity to obtain competitive grants that can be used to improve the infrastructure of this area to become more productive and free from dependence on tin mining activities which have the potential to damage the area in the future.

Abstract

Kelurahan Lubuk Kelik is one of the new sub-districts which is the result of the expansion of Kelurahan Parit Padang in Province of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, the majority of which is a post-tin mining area and conservation forest area. The issue of waste is the main environmental problem faced. Along the Lubuk Kelik road, which stretches for 12 km, there are at least 10-15 illegal waste dumping points located along the road in the oil palm plantation area and residents' land. The Various efforts to educate awareness of waste management was done but that does not cause environmental problems, including throwing rubbish in its place or making recycled crafts using plastic waste. The low direct impact felt sometimes makes this education less effective, especially as handicraft products based on recycled plastic waste are less popular with the market due to the lack of innovation and creativity. The training to empower PKK and housewives through the application of hydroponic technology using plastic bottle waste is expected to be an alternative solution to the household scale plastic bottle waste problem in the Kelurahan Lubuk Kelik. This activity is an effort to handle plastic bottle waste through a recycling use method based on community empowerment, especially housewives in terms of meeting their daily need for vegetables. This was chosen because vegetables are a basic need for society and are now quite expensive. Apart from that, hydroponic technology is more efficient than conventional vegetable plantations because it does not depend on soil fertility and land area and is free of pesticides. Apart from fulfilling daily needs, it is hoped that the community will be able to develop vegetables into superior commodities as additional income for the community.

Abstract

Meskipun memiliki potensi pengembangan yang besar, terong belanda masih kurang dikenal di masyarakat Indonesia. Meski demikian, buah ini memiliki nilai komoditas yang potensial untuk dikembangkan dalam negeri, dimanfaatkan sebagai buah segar, serta diolah menjadi sirup atau jus. Karena besarnya potensi dari buih ini mendorong kami menciptakan suatu produk baru terong belanda menjadi selai, selai merupakan produk pangan yang dikenal di dunia kuliner internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam mengolah Terong Belanda menjadi selai dan memperkenalkan strategi pemasaran yang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Hal ini diharapkan dapat mendorong pengolahan buah-buahan menjadi produk bernilai tinggi yang dapat membantu menjaga stabilitas harga di pasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selai Terong Belanda mendapatkan respon positif dari masyarakat desa Despot Linge. Produk ini memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi produk lokal desa yang dapat memberikan manfaat ekonomi serta memperkenalkan Terong Belanda kepada masyarakat lebih luas.

Abstract

This community service activity is carried out with the aim of helping the people of the South Sidoarjo region in fulfilling their tax obligations, namely reporting individual annual SPTs. The service team’s method is providing assistance and services directly to the community present at the post formed by KPP Pratama South Sidoarjo. Before providing assistance, the service team first carried out a recruitment process for tax volunteers who came from accounting study program students at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Sidoarjo. The results of the service showed that all the people present at the post could be served well by the Tax Volunteers on duty so that the obligation to report SPT could be carried out correctly and on time. Apart from that, it was seen that the majority of people present were satisfied with the performance shown by the tax volunteers on duty.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 berdampak pada sektor ekonomi, termasuk usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Desa Kota Bangun, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau memiliki beberapa UMKM yang dapat menjadi potensi untuk menyokong perekonomian desa. UMKM tersebut diantaranya ialah UMKM tempe, tahu, donat, pengepul lidi sawit, serta Pujasera. Namun karena adanya pandemi Covid-19 semua UMKM tersebut mengalami penurunan jumlah konsumen dikarenakan mengikuti protokol dari pemerintah untuk melakukan social distancing, sehingga terkendala untuk melakukan jual beli secara langsung. Meskipun pandemi Covid-19 sudah mulai berakhir, dampak yang diberikannya terhadap UMKM masih dapat dirasakan hingga saat ini, beberapa UMKM di Desa Kota Bangun yang terkena imbas dari pandemi mengalami penurunan penjualan produk sehingga terjadinya penurunan pendapatan. Selain itu pemilik UMKM juga terlambat dalam mengikuti arus perekonomian modern karena kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai pemasaran secara online dengan media E-marketing. Dengan munculnya masalah tersebut pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemasaran UMKM di Desa Kota Bangun yang dilakukan dengan memberikan pendampingan pembuatan media promosi usaha dan aktivitas promosi di media sosial. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan apresiasi dari UMKM yang menjadi mitra. Mitra sasaran merasakan manfaat berupa penambahan wawasan serta penambahan omzet dan jangkauan pemasaran. Promosi usaha melalui media sosial diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan agar jangkauan pemasaran UMKM tidak hanya di Desa Kota Bangun saja tetapi hingga dikenal di luar desa. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan serta perekonomian pemilik UMKM Desa Kota Bangun pasca pandemi Covid-19.
