Abstract

One very important aspect in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is business legality. Community service activities related to assistance in creating business legality through Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Home Industry Food Production Certificates (SPP-IRT) are aimed at MSMEs in East Surya Village, Bangka Regency. The aim of this activity is to provide assistance to East Surya Subdistrict MSMEs regarding creating accounts and procedures for processing legalities through Online Single Submission (OSS). The method for implementing this service activity is divided into three stages, namely observation, counseling regarding NIB and SPP-IRT, and implementation of mentoring. The number of MSMEs that have been recorded by the UBB Surya Timur KKN-T team is 19 MSMEs and 5 MSMEs have successfully created NIBs and 1 SPP-IRT person. This process takes 14 days. The availability of legality for MSME actors is very important for the existence and development of MSMEs considering that the NIB is an identification mark for every business actor, both individual and non-individual businesses. By having a Business Identification Number and a Home Industry Food Production Certificate, MSMEs have valid identification in carrying out their business activities, so that they can obtain legitimacy and official recognition from the government. The various benefits obtained from the existence of NIB and SPP-IRT help MSME players in developing their products, in this case in the form of consumer and business partner confidence in the product as well as increasing the self-confidence of MSME players to be more competitive in developing business products and the type of business they run.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: The significant decline in the number of patient visits at Beutong Public Health Centre, Beutong Subdistrict, Nagan Raya District, which reached 73% between 2021 and 2022, serves as a critical backdrop for this study. This research aims to analyse the factors influencing healthcare service quality and patients' revisit interest by focusing on five key service dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The study is descriptive-analytical and was conducted at the Beutong Public Health Centre from March to April 2024. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and secondary data from the health centre and analysed using SPSS version 24. The results showed that all five dimensions of healthcare service—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—influence patients' revisit interest. Specifically, the assurance variable had the most significant impact, with 77% of respondents indicating positive revisit interest. Reliability influenced 69% of respondents, empathy 68%, tangibles 63%, and responsiveness 53%. However, statistical analysis revealed that only assurance had a statistically significant effect (p 0.05), while reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and tangibles did not show significant influence (p 0.05). Based on these findings, it is recommended that Beutong Public Health Centre improve healthcare service quality by focusing on enhancing staff reliability through regular training, strengthening responsive communication channels to address patient complaints, improving staff credibility and professionalism through certification and continuous training, and upgrading the physical facilities of the health centre.

Abstract

Tuberculosis remains a major global health concern, with a sharp increase in new cases in 2022, exceeding the prevalence before the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Conventional antituberculosis therapy, comprising a combination of first-line medications, is essential for controlling tuberculosis. However, more than 7% of patients undergoing treatment may develop drug-induced liver injury (DILI), mainly from isoniazid and rifampicin. This literature review aimed to evaluate DILI in tuberculosis, focusing on its causes, diagnosis, and management. Several factors, including age, sex, genetic predisposition, and pre-existing liver conditions, affect the occurrence of antituberculosis DILI. Advanced age and being female are significant risk factors for severe liver injury. Diagnosing DILI requires careful differentiation from other hepatic disorders, as its clinical presentation may include symptoms such as jaundice, abdominal pain, and elevated liver enzyme levels. Early detection relies heavily on liver function tests and clinical assessments. Managing DILI involves promptly discontinuing the offending drug, closely monitoring the patient, and gradually reintroducing medications, prioritizing less hepatotoxic options, such as rifampicin. Hepatoprotective agents and alternative drug regimens, particularly those excluding pyrazinamide, may be used to mitigate the risk of liver injury. The rise in tuberculosis cases in 2022 underscores the ongoing global burden of this disease and the critical need for effective treatment strategies. Tailored therapeutic approaches, comprehensive liver function monitoring, and early identification of DILI are vital for minimizing hepatotoxicity while ensuring successful tuberculosis management. Although hepatoprotective drugs and alternative regimens show promise, further research is necessary to optimize their application across diverse patient populations.   Highlights: 1. This article presents a thorough evaluation of antituberculosis drug-induced liver injury, particularly concerning its causes, diagnosis, and management, highlighting the importance of a meticulous differentiation from other liver disorders through a comprehensive assessment of clinical indicators. 2. The literature review included studies utilizing advanced diagnostic tools for precise causality determination as well as innovative approaches, such as the selective omission of pyrazinamide or the integration of non-standard treatment protocols, which offer promising avenues to mitigate hepatotoxicity risk. 3. This literature review suggests that hepatoprotective agents, such as N-acetylcysteine, may have advantages due to their notable efficacy in preserving liver function, offering a proactive strategy for patient safety.

Abstract

Road transportation safety is a major challenge in Indonesia, with the number of accidents increasing every year. The Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has developed a safe road education and training curriculum as one of the efforts to improve the competence of the workforce in the road transportation sector. This article analyzes the macro and micro curriculum development of the training, including objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with document analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is a mismatch between the formulation of objectives and the national qualifications framework, a lack of relevance of the material to the needs of society and the latest technology, and deficiencies in assessment methods and instruments. This article recommends revising the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in supporting safe driving in Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: Since a single pulmonary nodule (SPN) usually doesn't cause any respiratory symptoms, it is frequently found by accident. On a chest X-ray, the incidence of SPN is 0.1-0.2%, and on a contrast-enhanced CT scan of the thorax, it is 13%. In populations at high risk, the incidence rises to 9–33%. Contrast-enhanced CT scans are essential for early detection in order to assess and choose a course of treatment. About 40–50% of SPNs are malignant, with adenocarcinoma being the most prevalent subtype, making for 47% of all instances of lung cancer. Surgical intervention is advised in the early stages. Case Report: A 62-year-old nonsmoker arrived with haemoptysis and a persistent cough. A contrast-enhanced CT scan revealed a solid lesion of 2.8 cm x 2.7 cm x 2.4 cm, classified as stage IA. A chest X-ray revealed a tiny mass measuring 1.5 cm x 1 cm. Following a lobectomy, the patient's pathology revealed Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma (NSCLC), specifically adenocarcinoma. To rule out organ metastases, immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays were used. Conclusion: Lobectomy for SPN adenocarcinoma stage IA improves lung function and quality of life at one and three months post-surgery.
