Abstract

There are three factors that influence the quality of education not to increase evenly. First, national education policies and implementation are not implemented consistently. Second, the administration of education has long used a centralized system. Third, the participation of the community, especially parents, in implementing education is very minimal. The third factor above focuses on leadership factors, behind the success of an educational institution, there is an important role of individuals who hold leadership roles. Qualitative research was used in this research. The method used in this research is the library research method which is carried out by collecting data from books, journals and articles. Leaders in educational institutions have a very important role in creating an environment conducive to learning. They must be able to plan educational strategies, manage resources, inspire teachers and students, and establish relationships with all educational stakeholders. Leadership functions in educational institutions include planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating.

Abstract

Introduction: Independent Learning Program-Independent Campus (MBKM) is a policy issued by the Minister of Education and Culture since 2020 so that graduates are ready to face global challenges. Based on the policy issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is necessary to adjust the strategy for the curriculum of the Health study program that already has provisions in the application of the curriculum. Since the establishment of the MBKM program in universities, the fact is that the curriculum of the health study program has not been able to adjust policies related to the MBKM program as a whole.  Therefore, a review of the published primary research is carried out to be able to provide comprehensive scientific evidence related to the MBKM program strategy for the health study program curriculum. Objective: This study aims to investigate the MBKM program strategy for the health study program curriculum. Method: Scoping review with a comprehensive search strategy was carried out using the Pubmed, SCOPUS, CINAHL, EMBASE and ProQuest database libraries and using the Science Direct and Google Scholar search engines, with full-text article criteria, ranging from 2021-2023 with Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) and Cross-sectional Studies research designs. Based on the search results, there are six articles that meet the analysis criteria. Results: based on six articles, several health study programs were found to implement the MBKM strategy, but several obstacles were also found in the implementation of the MBKM strategy. Conclusions and Suggestions: the six articles are then grouped according to the MBKM strategy approach, namely staying focused on achieving SKL / CPL, still paying attention to the fulfillment of learning rights for a maximum of three semesters, students get learning experiences with additional competencies obtained from each study program, the application of students getting learning experience in the real world in accordance with the profile and scope of their field of work and the curriculum that has been designed and implemented is flexible and adaptable to the development of science and technology (scienfic vision) and the demands of the field of work (market signal). Each of these strategies is then used as an illustration in the implementation of the MBKM program for the health study program curriculum.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a condition where the kidneys fail to perform their function to excrete substances that are not needed by the body, resulting in accumulation in the body which can trigger uremia. This scientific work aims to apply nursing care to CKD patients with ineffective breathing patterns at Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital. The method applied in the preparation of this scientific work is the case study method. The subjects in this scientific work are participants with CKD cases and have problems with ineffective breathing patterns who are undergoing treatment at Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital. Data collection using interview techniques, observation, physical examination, and documentation and was carried out in the period January to March 2023. The nursing care process for participants was carried out for 5 days, and the assessment results were obtained, namely shortness of breath. The implementation process is carried out in accordance with nursing care planning, one of which is by giving the semi-fowler position. A thorough evaluation was carried out during the provision of nursing care, and it was found that the participants with the problem of ineffective breathing patterns were resolved. Participants do not complain of shortness of breath, breathing frequency improves or is in the normal range, dyspnoea decreases, and there is no use of breathing muscles. The problem of ineffective breathing patterns is resolved by the application of nursing care that is carried out comprehensively. Giving the semi fowler position has an impact on reducing ineffective breathing patterns, because in a tilt angle of 45 degrees and applied during treatment is able to press the diaphragm down so that the lungs can expand and get maximum oxygen supply. Keywords: Chronic Kidney Disease, Ineffective Breathing Pattern, Semi-Fowler's Position.

Abstract

Hypertension is systolic blood pressure increases above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure increases above 90 mmHg. One of the hypertension treatments is non-pharmacological therapy by giving lemon aromatherapy, which is helpful as an antioxidant, strengthens and vasodilation of blood vessels, and controls blood pressure. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy on blood pressure in hypertension patients at Modopuro Public Health Center Mojokerto. The research design used pre-experimental with a one-group pre-post test design approach. The sample used 35 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a digital tensimeter and a blood pressure observation sheet. Statistical analysis test used the Paired t-test. The results showed that the mean systolic blood pressure before intervention was 158.34 mmHg, and the mean systolic blood pressure after intervention was 144.42 mmHg. The results showed a significant difference between systolic blood pressure before and after giving lemon aromatherapy in hypertension patients (p-value = 0.000; α <0.05). Lemon aromatherapy can decrease blood pressure in hypertension patients, affecting the olfactory and circulatory nervous systems. When aromatherapy is inhaled, the olfactory nerve delivers impulses to the brain and stimulates the production of endorphins, which can calm and relax the body. That mechanism can cause vasodilation of blood vessels and a decrease in heart rate so that blood pressure will decrease. Keywords: Lemon Aromatherapy, Blood Pressure, Hypertension
