Abstract

Numeracy literacy in early childhood is a fundamental aspect of cognitive development; however, valid assessment instruments remain limited in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the validity of numeracy literacy assessment instruments for early childhood in Cakranegara District, Mataram, Lombok. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, the study involved 135 children with data collection methods through direct observation and numeracy tests. Instrument validation was conducted through content validity testing by three early childhood education experts and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) using Principal Component Analysis method. The research results indicate that the prototype instrument achieved an average validation score of 87.11%, with a Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value of 0.725 and a significant Bartlett's test (χ2 = 968.515; p < 0.000). The inter-rater reliability test yielded an average value of 0.85, falling into the high category. This research produces valid, reliable, and contextual numeracy literacy assessment instruments that can be used to identify the numeracy development of early childhood children more accurately and effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety levels in patients with acid reflux and to determine whether there are differences in anxiety reduction based on the Big Five personality traits. The subjects of the study consisted of 10 patients who met the inclusion criteria after undergoing a screening process involving medical records, anxiety assessment using the HARS scale, and personality evaluation using the Big Five personality scale. Music therapy was administered as an intervention to reduce anxiety in these patients. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test to compare anxiety levels before and after the intervention, and the Kruskal-Wallis Test to examine differences in anxiety reduction among the various personality groups. The results showed that music therapy was effective in reducing anxiety in patients with acid reflux. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant reduction in anxiety levels, with the average anxiety score before the intervention being 30.50, and after the intervention, it decreased to 21.90. This demonstrates that music therapy can significantly reduce anxiety in acid reflux patients. Meanwhile, the Kruskal-Wallis Test revealed no significant difference in anxiety reduction across different personality traits, with a p-value of 0.188 (p > 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that while music therapy is effective in reducing anxiety in acid reflux patients, personality traits do not influence the response to this intervention.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of students' knowledge of traffic rules on their awareness and practice regarding driving safety. The primary objective was to assess whether a better understanding of traffic rules correlates with higher levels of safety conscious behavior among transportation students. This research was structured based on a quantitative approach using a survey distributed via Google Forms which displays a 20-item Likert scale questionnaire with 150 respondents. This survey aims to determine students' level of knowledge and their safety behavior in real-life scenarios. The participants were transportation students from the Road Transportation Safety Polytechnic selected to provide a representative sample of everyday passengers. Data analysis will use correlation and regressiontests to identify significant relationships between level of knowledge and safety awareness. These findings are expected to explain the importance of including traffic rules education into the school curriculum as apreventive measure against traffic-related incidents. Insights from this study are intended to support policyrecommendations, emphasizing early education regarding traffic rules to grow a safer and more responsiblegeneration of young drivers.

Abstract

The postpartum period is a transitional phase that can lead to a life crisis and increase the likelihood of postpartum depression (PPD) in some mothers. Symptoms include sadness, irritability, disturbed appetite, insomnia, and exhaustion. Family support, especially through communication, can help reduce the risk of PPD. Additionally, an individual's personality plays a role in coping with postpartum challenges, as explained by the Big Five Personality Traits Theory, which classifies personality into five dimensions: neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, conscientiousness, and agreeableness. This study aims to examine the relationship between family communication, the Big Five traits, and the tendency for PPD. A quantitative correlational approach was used, with questionnaires distributed to 60 subjects from four Midwifery Independent Practices. The results showed a significant negative correlation between family communication and the tendency for postpartum depression (t = -5.337, p = 0.000). This indicates that better family communication is associated with a lower likelihood of PPD. Additionally, significant differences were found in the Big Five dimensions in relation to PPD tendencies, with extraversion (t = -3.779, p = 0.000) and agreeableness showing strong correlations.

Abstract

Trademark registration is a crucial step for businesses to protect the identity and reputation of their products. However, this registration is often rejected by the competent authority because of the basic similarities with a previously registered mark. This research aims to analyze rejection of trademark registration in Indonesia which is caused by basic similarities. In the context of brand law, principal similarity refers to a situation where two marks are deemed to have similarities that are significant enough to confuse consumers. Based on data from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (hereinafter referred to as DJKI), the number of trademark registrations rejected for this reason continues to increase every year. This research will discuss the factors that influence rejection of trademark registration, its impact on brand owners, as well as best practices that can be taken to reduce the risk of rejection. With a normative approach, this research will examine existing regulations and how they are implemented in the field
