Abstract

This researh aimed to evaluate the Integrating Faith and Learning (IFL) that it was implemented at Junior High School (SMP) Advent DKI Jakarta. The Stake Countenance model was used to evaluate IFL in some stages. They were antecedents, transactions, and outcomes. The results of evaluation showed that the IFL program implementation gave the positive impacts to learning-teaching activities process. The IFL program could be continued with some improvitations in learning media and school manager’s commitment. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model Stake Countenance. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: antecedents, transactions, dan outcomes. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan, bahwa pelaksanaan program IFL memberikan pengaruh positif yang baik kepada proses kegiatan belajar- mengajar (KBM). Program IFL dapat dilanjutkan dengan perbaikan pada perangkat pembelajaran dan komitmen pengelola sekolah. Abstract

This paper offers a discussion of al-Jawāhir al-Khamsah text written by Shaykh Muḥammad Khaṭīr al-Dīn al-Aṭṭār (w.970/1563), which its copy exist in the Sultanate of Banten era. This study uses philological and codicological sufism approaches. This study concluded that al-Jawāhir al-Khamsah text is the main text of teachings Shaṭṭāriyah, because it is popular not only in its place of origin, India but also in Nusantara. Its copy which is originated from Banten in the 18th century ensure that it was an actual text for community in responding to the challenges of the times, especially when the Sultanate of Banten entered a phase of deterioration under the pressure of Netherlands. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tasawuf filologi dan kodikologi. Berdasarkan pemaparan di atas disimpulkan, bahwa teks al-Jawāhir al-Khamsah sebagai teks induk ajaran tarekat Shaṭṭāriyah terbukti populer tidak hanya di tempat asalnya, India, melainkan juga terkenal hingga ke Nusantara. Adanya salinan naskah yang berasal dari Banten pada abad ke-18, dipastikan teks ini juga begitu aktual bagi masyarakat dalam menjawab tantangan zamannya, terutama masa-masa Kesultanan Banten memasuki fase kemunduran di bawah tekanan Belanda. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influences of spiritual intelligence, leadership style, and achievement motivation of headmasters in the decision-making ability. This research was carried out in Islamic Junior Secondary Schools (MTs) at the cities of Bekasi. Random sampling technique was used to select 30 headmasters as respondents. The results revealed that: a) there is a direct effect of spiritual intelligence to leadership style, b) there is a direct effect of spiritual intelligence to achievement motivation, c) there is a direct influence of leadership style to achievement motivation, d) there is a direct effect of spiritual intelligence to headmasters’ decision- making abilities, e) there is a direct influence on the leadership style to headmasters’decision-making abilities, and f) there is a direct influence on achievement motivation to headmasters’ decision-making abilities. Keywords: Spiritual intelligence, leadership style, achievement motivation, policies, headmasters Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan spiritual, gaya kepemimpinan, dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemampuan pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Kota Bekasi dengan responden 30 kepala madrasah. Sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: a) terdapat pengaruh langsung kecerdasan spiritual terhadap gaya kepemimpinan, b) terdapat pengaruh langsung kecerdasan spiritual terhadap motivasi berprestasi, c) terdapat pengaruh langsung gaya kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi berprestasi, d) terdapat pengaruh langsung kecerdasan spiritual terhadap kemampuan pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah, e) terdapat pengaruh langsung gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kemampuan pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah, dan f) terdapat pengaruh langsung motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemampuan pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah. Abstract

Indonesia is a well-known country of a variety of cultures, ethnicities and religions. A pluralistic nation is prone to conflicts, including a religious conflict. Sometimes religious conflicts occur even more severe and last longer because mass media are not capable of being a medium for peace. There are increasingly multi comprehension on the concept of religious tolerance. Hence, media including Kompas newspaper is the main information on religious tolerance values the general public. The purpose of this study was to describe the news framing of religious tolerance in newspaper Kompas. This study uses framing analysis methods through qualitative approach on the concept of news framing Pan and Kosicki: syntactical, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The study concludes that syntactical structure of all six news in Kompas newspaper emphasizes religious tolerance, religious diversity and it prioritizes religious minorities in the news. Kompas also structurally arranges the facts of events, accompanied by quotations from complete and balanced sources. Regrading to rhetorical structures in the news, Kompas deliberately chooses specific words that are often repeated as intolerant, minorities, and so forth, which indicates that these words become the emphasis in the news. Realita bangsa yang plural adalah rawan konflik termasuk konflik agama. Terkadang konflik agama yang terjadi justru semakin diperparah dan berlangsung lama karena media massa tidak mampu berperan sebagai media perdamaian. Konsep toleransi beragama pun kini semakin multi pemahaman termasuk memahaminya secara keliru. Karena itu, diperlukan peran media termasuk surat kabar Kompas sebagai pemberi informasi tentang nilai-nilai toleransi beragama kepada masyarakat luas. dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan framing berita tentang toleransi beragama di surat kabar Kompas. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis framing dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang menggunakan konsep framing berita Pan dan Kosicki, yaitu sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan, bahwa sintaktis dalam keenam berita Kompas menekankan tentang toleransi beragama, keragaman agama serta memprioritaskan agama minoritas dalam berita. Kompas juga secara terstruktur menyusun fakta-fakta peristiwa disertai kutipan-kutipan sumber yang lengkap dan berimbang. Sedangkan retoris dalam berita, Kompas sengaja memilih kata-kata khusus yang sering diulang, seperti intoleran, minoritas, dan lain sebagainya, yang menandakan, bahwa kata-kata tersebut menjadi penekanan dalam berita. Abstract

Character education is now becoming most prominent concept which is considered as a solution to the failure of education in Indonesia, but the implementation of such a model of education in educational institutions has received less attention. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education in integrated Islamic primary school Nurul Ilmi. The study was conducted using qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations and documentations analysis. The results showed that the implementation of character education in schools is carried out in an integrated manner in all subjects, in extracurricular activities, and in the school culture. The implementation also got community participation. The school chooses and emphasizes religious values from eighteen character values set by the Ministry of Education and Culture, to implement in all the school activities. Keywords: Character education, Islamic primary school, education policy, Jambi Pendidikan karakter saat ini menjadi sebuah konsep yang dianggap sebagai solusi atas kegagalan pendidikan di Indonesia, namun perhatian atas implementasi model pendidikan itu di dalam lembaga pendidikan kurang mendapat perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Nurul Ilmi. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah tersebut dilaksanakan secara terintegrasi dalam semua mata pelajaran, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, budaya sekolah, dan mendapat peran serta masyarakat. Dari delapanbelas nilai karakter yang ditetapkan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, sekolah ini memilih dan menekankan nilai religius dalam pelaksanaan semua kegiatan di sekolah. Abstract

This study aims to know: 1) the conditions of primary schools in Mamuju regency, 2) the availability of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) books in primary schools, 3) the utilization mechanism of Islamic Religious Education textbooks in primary school, and the problems faced by educators and learners in utilizing PAI books in primary school. Using qualitative descriptive method, the study found that there is limited availability of PAI books in those schools; due to the fact that the curriculum 2013 has not implemented optimally. The acquisition of books evidently has been done through waiting for center to be distributed in schools. The limitation also hampered the use of PAI books either as required or recommended books. Although in some aspects, the schools independently acquire books to anticipate the fulfillment of teaching materials. Strengthening teachers capacity in terms of technical assistance has not been done evenly. This results in the lack of implementing knowledge for PAI primary school teachers in Mamuju. Keywords: Religious education book, Primary school, Educational policy, Mamuju Penelitian ini berangkat dari keinginan untuk mengetahui: 1) kondisi Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Mamuju, 2) ketersediaan buku Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah dasar, 3) mekanisme pemanfaatan buku- buku paket PAI di Sekolah Dasar serta problem yang dihadapi oleh pendidik dan peserta didik dalam memanfaatkan buku PAI di Sekolah Dasar. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menemukan keterbatasan ketersediaan buku PAI di sekolah sasaran, dikarenakan implementasi kurikulum 2013 yang masih belum maksimal yang ditandai dengan pengadaan buku yang masih “menunggu distribusi dari pusat” untuk disalurkan di sekolah. Keterbatasan itu pula yang menghambat pemanfaatan buku PAI, baik wajib maupun penunjang. Meski pada beberapa aspek, inisiatif pengadaan secara mandiri tetap dilakukan sebagai antisipasi pemenuhan bahan ajar. Penguatan kapasitas guru dalam hal bimbingan teknis juga masih belum dilakukan secara merata mengakibatkan keterbatasan pengetahuan implementatif dari mereka para guru-guru PAI Sekolah Dasar di Mamuju. Abstract

This paper reviews meaning, function and preservation of Rebana Biang art in Jakarta. Rebana Biang is an extraordinary Betawi Rebana because of its unique musical instruments, its socio-cultural background, its area of dissemination, its other local arts influences, its usage and its theatrical process. This research is a descriptive study that emphasis more on qualitative data. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis. This study shows that Rebana Biang is one of the performing arts which has religious nuances in Jakarta region. In its early development, Rebana Biang art is taught in religious lesson through a natural inheriting process. It then developed into a performance art that accompanied dance Blenggo and Blantek through an unnatural process. Rebana Biang merupakan Rebana Betawi yang sangat istimewa, antara lain dalam hal keunikan alat musik, latar belakang sosial budaya, wilayah penyebaran, pengaruh kesenian daerah lain, cara membawakan maupun proses teaterisasinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang lebih menekankan pada data-data kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi (pengamatan), wawancara mendalam, dan telaah dokumen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa Rebana Biang merupakan salah satu seni pertunjukan yang bernuansa keagamaan di wilayah Jakarta. Awal perkembangan Rebana Biang merupakan kesenian yang diajarkan dalam sebuah pengajian dengan proses pewarisan alami, kemudian berkembang menjadi sebuah seni pertunjukan yang mengiringi tari Blenggo dan Blantek melalui proses rekayasa. Abstract

The Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a regulation regarding pre-marital course. The purpose of the issuance of this regulation is to raise the understanding and the knowledge about the life of the household/family in creating a family which is tranquility (sakinah), love (mawaddah) and mercy (rahmah) as well as reducing the number of disputes, divorces and domestic violences. Using observation and interview methods in data collection, this study aims to examine the process of implementation of pre-marital course referring to the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance (Dirjen Bimas Islam) Regulation No. DJ.II/542 in 2013. The study finds that pre-marital courses in Sukabumi regency has not been run in accordance with the regulations issued by Director General of Islamic Community Guidance (Dirjen Bimas Islam). Limited funding and lack of cross-ministerial cooperation have obstructed the implementation of pre-marriage courses programs. Tujuan dikeluarkannya peraturan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang kehidupan rumah tangga/keluarga dalam mewujudkan keluarga yang sakinah, mawaddah, dan rahmah serta mengurangi angka perselisihan, perceraian, dan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Menggunakan metode pengamatan (observasi) langsung dan wawancara dalam pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah proses pelaksanaan kursus pra-nikah yang mengacu pada Peraturan Dirjen Bimas Islam Nomor DJ.II/542 Tahun 2013. Penelitian ini mendapati, bahwa kursus pra- nikah di Kabupaten Sukabumi belum berjalan sesuai dengan peraturan yang diterbitkan Peraturan Dirjen Bimas Islam Nomor DJ.II/542 Tahun 2013. Abstract

This study reveals the endurance of students in Lampung againts radical Islamic understanding and movements. Research has been carried out on students at four universities in Lampung Province, including the students at the University of Lampung (Unila), students of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Raden Intan Lampung, students of Metro Muhammadiyah University, Higher Schools of Islamic Studies Maarif (STAIM) Metro. Data were collected through interview and documentation. This study used phenomenological and symbolic interaction approaches. The results showed that the majority of the radical Islamic movement activists deem radical Islamic movement as a threat to the The Unitary State of the Indonesian Republic (NKRI). Nevertheless, For 23% of respondents who argued the opposite, that radical Islam does not imperil the existence of the Unitary State of the Indonesian Republic (NKRI), can not be regarded as an insignificant figure. Campus muslim activists have strong enough endurances againts the influence of radical Islamic understanding and movement as well as various media and facilities which commonly used by radical Islamic realm to conduct propaganda and prepare the cadres. Their endurance are influenced by educational, religious understanding, environmental and social factors. Keywords: Radical Islam, jihad, campus muslim activist, endurance Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap ketahanan mahasiswa di Provinsi Lampung terhadap paham dan gerakan Islam radikal. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa di empat perguruan Tinggi di Provinsi Lampung, yaitu mahasiswa Universitas Lampung (Unila), mahasiswa Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Raden Intan Lampung, mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, dan mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Ma’arif (STAIM) Metro. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sementara pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan fenomenologi dan interaksi simbolik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa mayoritas aktifis memandang gerakan Islam radikal sebagai ancaman terhadap Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI). Namun demikian, keberadaan 23% responden berpandangan sebaliknya, yaitu Islam radikal tidak membahayakan eksistensi NKRI, tidak dapat dikatakan sebagai angka yang tidak signifikan. Aktivis Muslim kampus mempunyai ketahanan yang cukup kuat terhadap pengaruh paham dan gerakan Islam radikal serta berbagai media dan sarana yang biasa digunakan kalangan Islam radikal untuk melakukan propaganda dan mencari kader. Ketahanan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendidikan, pemahaman agama, faktor lingkungan dan pergaulan. Kata Kunci: Islam radikal, jihad, aktivis Muslim kampus, ketahanan

Abstract

This paper presents the results of research on the role of Majlis Pandita Buddha Maitreya (Mapanbumi) Batam. This research seeks to answer on how Mapanbumi’ views or attitudes toward religious harmony and what programs or activities that this majlis conduct concerning religious harmony. Using a case study model, data were collected through interviews, documents analysis, observations, and focus group discussions. The study found that according to Mapanbumi Batam, the religious harmony is something that has to be fought by all humans, regradless of race, ethnicity, culture, and religion, since all human beings are principally brothers. Mapanbumi Batam undertakes programs or activities in the field of inter- religious harmony through establishing public schools Maitreya Wira based on Buddhism Maitreya philosophy. This institution also run other social activities, including providing assistance to Al-Fateh rehabilitation institution, carrying out blood donation program, setting up vegetarian festival, and celebrating cultural and religious festivals which open to the public. Keywords: Religious Institutions, Mapanbumi, Harmony, the city of Batam, Buddha Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian mengenai peran Majelis Pandita Buddha Maitreya (Mapanbumi) Kota Batam. Penelitian ini hendak menjawab bagaimana pandangan atau sikap serta program atau kegiatan apa saja yang dilakukan oleh Mapanbumi Kota Batam mengenai kerukunan umat beragama. Dengan menggunakan model studi kasus, data penelitian digali mengguanakan metode wawancara, studi dokumen, observasi, dan kelompok diskusi terfokus. Penelitian ini mendapati, bahwa kerukunan umat beragama bagi Mapanbumi Kota Batam adalah hal yang harus diperjuangkan oleh semua manusia walaupun berbeda suku, etnis, budaya, dan agama, karena pada prinsipnya semua manusia adalah saudara. Program atau kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Mapanbumi Kota Batam dalam bidang kerukunan antar umat beragama adalah dengan mendirikan sekolah Maitreya Wira yang berfalsafah Budhisme Maitreya, tapi terbuka untuk umum. Kegiatan sosial yang lain adalah dengan memberikan bantuan kepada panti rehabilitasi Al-Fateh, kegiatan donor darah, festival vegetarian, dan perayaan-perayaan hari besar yang terbuka untuk umum.
