Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic spiritual counseling in improving the emotional resilience of broken-home students at SMP Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological orientation. The main subjects were students from broken-home families, while supporting informants included Guidance and Counseling teachers, Islamic Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data condensation, coding, thematic categorization, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings show that Islamic spiritual counseling provides an emotional safe space for students to express sadness, anger, anxiety, and disappointment without fear of judgment. The counseling process integrates a humanistic approach with Islamic values through empathy, acceptance, prayer, dhikr, muhasabah, sabr, ikhlas, tawakkul, and tazkiyatun nafs. These practices help students regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, control anger, accept family realities, and rebuild self-confidence. The study concludes that Islamic spiritual counseling is effective as a holistic school counseling model because it combines emotional support, spiritual strengthening, moral guidance, and character formation. This model is relevant for Islamic schools in supporting students who experience family problems and emotional vulnerability.

Abstract

Cheating remains a common problem in educational activities, particularly in Islamic Religious Education. The purpose of this study was to investigate how students' cheating tendencies at Muhammadiyah Senior High School Tanjung Redeb are influenced by peer conformity and self-confidence. This study was conducted using correlational techniques and quantitative methodology. Using a simple random sampling method, 79 students were selected to participate. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability tests, and analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results showed that self-confidence and peer conformity have a significant impact on cheating behavior at both the individual and group levels. Together, these two variables explained 23.3% of the variation in student cheating behavior, with other factors outside the study influencing the remainder. These results indicate that students' academic behavior is significantly influenced by the dynamics of internal causes and social pressure, especially regarding honesty practices in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the model of Artificial Intelligence utilization in Islamic Religious Education learning and analyze its implications for student learning motivation at SMK Muhammadiyah Berau. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers, students, the principal, and the vice principal for curriculum affairs. The findings show that AI is used as a learning reference, instructional support tool, creative learning medium, evaluation aid, and independent learning assistant. AI helps students access materials more easily, understand religious concepts faster, create digital learning products, and increase their interest in learning. However, the use of AI also creates challenges, such as dependence on instant answers, weak critical thinking, limited source verification, and reduced spiritual reflection. Therefore, the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers remains central in guiding students to use AI ethically, verify religious content, and connect learning with Islamic values. This study proposes an AI-assisted Islamic Religious Education learning model based on Islamic adab, consisting of orientation, exploration, verification, dialogue, production, reflection, and evaluation. The model strengthens student motivation while preserving the moral and spiritual mission of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of Qur’anic tolerance values in shaping students’ moderate attitudes at SMK Muhammadiyah Berau. The study focuses on the values contained in QS. Al-Kafirun verse 6 and QS. Al-Baqarah verse 256 as theological foundations for religious tolerance, respect for difference, and rejection of coercion in matters of faith. This research used a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in depth interviews, classroom observation, and document analysis involving Islamic Religious Education teachers, school leaders, students, and parents. The findings show that the internalization process occurs through Islamic Religious Education learning, teacher role modeling, dialogic discussion, school culture, student activities, and daily habituation. PAI teachers play a central role as interpreters of Qur’anic values, facilitators of dialogue, and moral examples for students. Supporting factors include the school’s vision, Muhammadiyah religious culture, teacher commitment, anti-bullying policy, student activities, peer interaction, and family support. However, several obstacles remain, such as students’ uneven understanding of tolerance, social media influence, rigid family backgrounds, limited learning time, and the persistence of jokes that may demean religious identity. The study concludes that Qur’anic tolerance values contribute to students’ moderate attitudes, especially in respecting differences, rejecting coercion, communicating ethically, cooperating with peers, and solving conflicts peacefully.

Abstract

This study examines the harmonization of religious values and customs among the Banua Tribe in Batu-Batu Gunung Tabur, Berau. The research focuses on how religious values and local customs are practiced, negotiated, preserved, and transmitted within the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving customary leaders, religious leaders, elders, youth, and community members. The findings show that Banua customs function not only as cultural heritage, but also as a medium for internalizing Islamic values. Traditions such as Puncak Rasul, Betarbangan, Hadrah, collective prayer, deliberation, and mutual assistance contain values of gratitude, ukhuwah, respect, responsibility, tolerance, and social solidarity. The harmonization process occurs through social negotiation between customary leaders, religious leaders, families, and young people. This process allows adat to remain culturally meaningful while staying aligned with Islamic principles. However, modernization creates challenges for cultural regeneration, especially through declining youth participation, changing lifestyles, digital influence, and weak intergenerational transmission. The study concludes that Banua customs contribute to Islamic education by functioning as a social curriculum based on local wisdom. The findings highlight the need to strengthen adat-religion dialogue, involve youth in cultural practices, document local traditions, and integrate Banua local wisdom into Islamic education and regional cultural programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of taḥammul (acquisition) of Qur’anic sanad among female students, examine the genealogy of the sanad they possess, identify the role of women in preserving Qur’anic sanad, and formulate strategies for developing an inclusive sanad program at STIU Wadi Mubarak Bogor. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving program administrators, sanad instructors, female students, and relevant sanad documents. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the taḥammul process is carried out through several stages, including participant selection, talaqqi, musyafahah, memorization recitation (‘arḍ), reinforcement of mutūn (classical texts), sanad examination, and the granting of sanad certification (ijazah). The genealogy of the female students’ sanad was found to be continuously connected (muttasil) to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the transmission of Hafṣ ‘an ‘Āṣim, providing strong scholarly and spiritual legitimacy. The study also demonstrates that women play significant roles as recipients of sanad, Qur’anic teachers, guardians of scholarly authority, agents of knowledge transmission, and contributors to the regeneration of Qur’anic education. To strengthen the sustainability of the program, the study proposes four main strategies: strengthening an adab and sanad based curriculum, developing flexible learning models, enhancing the competencies of female instructors, and reinforcing institutional support. These findings indicate that sanad programs can serve as an effective instrument for preserving the authenticity of Qur’anic transmission while simultaneously empowering women within the contemporary Islamic scholarly tradition.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual model of Synergistic Leadership between Madrasah Principals and School Committees Based on Islamic Collegiality Principles as an alternative approach to strengthening madrasah governance and improving educational quality. This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method through a systematic synthesis of relevant academic literature on educational leadership, collaborative leadership, school governance, and Islamic leadership. Data analysis was conducted through thematic identification, conceptual categorization, and integration of previous research findings to construct a contextual framework for Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal that leadership synergy between madrasah principals and school committees is formed through five main components: shared vision, strategic communication and coordination, participatory decision-making, shared accountability, and partnership networking. This study introduces the concept of Islamic Collegiality as a new framework that integrates the principles of syūrā (consultation), amanah (trust and responsibility), ‘adl (justice), mas’uliyyah (moral accountability), and ta‘āwun (cooperation) as the foundation of leadership relationships between madrasah principals and school committees. This model expands the perspective of collaborative leadership by incorporating ethical, social, and spiritual dimensions that characterize Islamic education. The study contributes theoretically to the development of Islamic educational leadership studies and provides practical implications for strengthening madrasah governance that is participatory, transparent, accountable, and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders and the development of Islamic education partnerships in improving the quality of education at MAN 1 Merangin. This study used a descriptive approach supported by quantitative data from respondents consisting of students’ parents, teachers, school committee members, and other stakeholders. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, heteroscedasticity testing, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that the research instruments were valid and reliable. The stakeholder partnership variable had a positive and significant effect on education quality, with a regression coefficient of 0.653 and a significance value of 0.000. The R Square value of 0.347 indicates that stakeholder partnerships contributed 34.7% to education quality. The findings also show that stakeholders’ perceptions of educational services were in the fairly good category. The school-parent relationship strategy was dominated by routine communication, parent meetings, involvement in school activities, and educational consultation. Support from the business sector and Corporate Social Responsibility programs also contributed to improving education quality through facilities assistance, educational activities, training programs, and scholarships. This study confirms that the development of Islamic education partnerships requires open communication, active participation, resource support, shared commitment, and continuous evaluation so that the quality of madrasah education can improve systematically and sustainably.
