Abstract

This article argues that Islam ought to be understood as a love-oriented religion rather than one defined solely by law and regulation. Challenging the reductive characterization of Islam as a purely nomos-oriented tradition, the article examines Ibn ʻArabi’s ethics of love through the lens of the ethics of care, employing library research with thematic-comparative content analysis as its methodological framework. Drawing on both primary and secondary sources, the study identifies five key variables within Ibn ʻArabi’s love ethics: (1) the undefinability of love, (2) insān kāmil, (3) jamāl-Ihṣān, (4) jamāl and jalāl, and (5) tajallī. Each variable is analyzed in comparative dialogue with the care-ethical thought of Iris Murdoch, Carol Gilligan, Emmanuel Lévinas, and Robert Spaemann, revealing substantive resonances between Akbarian mystical ethics and contemporary Western moral philosophy. The findings suggest that Ibn ʻArabi’s love ethics constitutes a viable corrective framework for contemporary religious discourse, pointing beyond sectarian fanaticism toward a spirituality grounded in care, beauty, and universal compassion.

Abstract

Character education is a key focus in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly at the elementary school level. However, the rise of globalization and digital culture has led to a decline in students’ values of courtesy, respect, and social ethics. One approach that can be taken is to integrate local wisdom into the educational process. The Tabe’ culture, as a cultural tradition of the Bugis-Makassar people, embodies values of respect, politeness, empathy, and social responsibility that are relevant to strengthening students’ character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Tabe’ culture in elementary school students’ character education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study followed the PRISMA guidelines by reviewing national articles published between 2019 and 2025 via Google Scholar, GARUDA, and accredited national journals. Of the 63 articles identified, 20 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the implementation of Tabe’ culture occurs through daily routines, teacher modeling, integration into learning, and the development of school culture. The character values fostered include respect, courtesy, discipline, empathy, and social responsibility. This study also found that the Tabe’ culture has strong relevance to the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile within the Merdeka Curriculum. The research findings affirm that local culture can serve as a contextual strategy for strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji internalisasi karakter religius melalui pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Cenaku. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada penerapan meaningful learning, mindful learning, dan joyful learning sebagai strategi untuk membangun pemahaman, kesadaran, serta perilaku religius peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara dengan wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, guru PAI, dan peserta didik, serta dokumentasi kegiatan keagamaan, perangkat ajar, dan media pembelajaran. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PAI berbasis deep learning diterapkan dengan mengaitkan materi agama dengan realitas peserta didik, seperti kedisiplinan ibadah, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, penggunaan media sosial, dan relasi sosial di sekolah. Guru berperan sebagai teladan, fasilitator dialog, dan pendamping refleksi. Internalisasi karakter religius berlangsung melalui pembiasaan ibadah, nasihat, evaluasi perilaku, keteladanan, refleksi diri, serta kolaborasi sekolah dan orang tua. Pembentukan karakter belum merata karena dipengaruhi kesadaran pribadi, lingkungan keluarga, penggunaan gawai, dan orientasi akademik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how diaspora Muslim communities in Taiwan such as FORMMIT manage, maintain, and develop the halal ecosystem. This study uses the perspective of collaborative governance and cultural management to understand that the management of the halal ecosystem in the Muslim diaspora community, namely FORMMIT, is not only an economic-religious activity, but also a process of strengthening identity, forming social solidarity, and producing Islamic cultural space in the context of minority communities. Data was collected through interviews with Taiwanese Muslim organization administrators, halal business actors, students, KDEI and Muslim migrant workers, and supported by field observations and documentation studies. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by applying source triangulation to increase the validity of findings. The results of the study show that The governance of the halal ecosystem in the diaspora Muslim community in Taiwan, namely FORMMIT, shows that the community has a strategic function in ensuring halal access for minority groups by involving various parties. The Halal Ecosystem Governance carried out by FORMMIT as the Diaspora Muslim Community in Taiwan is carried out with integration between Muslim community organizations, mosques, business actors, halal certification institutions, and the KDEI government. FORMMIT as a Muslim Diaspora Organization strengthens by building collaboration and communication between community members through various forums and social activities. The results of the study show that the strengthening and sustainability of the halal ecosystem carried out by Muslim organizations in Taiwan, namely FORMMIT, is carried out through several main strategies, namely ease of access to halal information, the development of multi-stakeholder partnerships, and the promotion of halal culture to the wider community. The use of digital media is an effective means to introduce halal products and services to Muslim and non-Muslim consumers.

Abstract

This study explores the rhetorical dimensions and pragmatic implications of kalam khabari (declarative speech) within prophetic discourse, specifically focusing on the Arba'in al-Nawawi compilation. While classical rhetoric often categorizes kalam khabari as merely an informative structure, this research addresses a theoretical gap by investigating its functional shift into a directive and normative pedagogical tool. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive-analytical method based on library research, this study applies the framework of the science of ma'ani to analyze purposively sampled hadiths. The findings reveal that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) systematically employed various forms of declarative sentences ibtida'i, talabi, and inkari not solely to convey factual realities, but as strategic performative instruments. These rhetorical structures function to establish absolute theological truths (At-Taqrir), deliver profound psychological admonitions (Tahdzir), and mandate binding legal regulations (Al-Amr al-Ilzami). By framing moral commands and warnings within logical facts, this indirect pedagogical method effectively minimizes psychological reactance, allowing Islamic morality and Sharia to be internalized willingly without appearing coercive. Ultimately, this research affirms that integrating classical Arabic rhetoric with modern pragmatics is crucial for uncovering the transformative educational guidance embedded within the Prophet’s sayings

Abstract

This study aims to examine and compare the leadership strategies of school principals in accelerating the Adiwiyata Program at State Elementary School Duren Jaya IV and State Elementary School Aren Jaya VIII, Bekasi City using a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design. State Elementary School Duren Jaya IV was selected as a school that successfully accelerated environmental achievements to the provincial level, while State Elementary School Aren Jaya VIII was chosen as a comparison school that faced challenges in environmental culture sustainability. The study focused on mapping the initial conditions of both schools, managerial tasks of school principals, the actual implementation of the four components of the Environmentally Caring and Cultured School Movement (PBLHS), and the impact of environmental school management on the effectiveness of the environmental movement in schools. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation of physical facilities, in-depth interviews with school principals and environmental coordinators, and documentation studies based on the POAC management instrument. The findings indicate that managerial tasks at schools implementing participatory transformation in State Elementary School Duren Jaya IV through innovation in “Waste Savings,” waste sorting, and budget allocation operated successfully in creating an ecological culture, which encouraged higher achievement at the provincial level. In contrast, managerial dysfunction at State Elementary School Aren Jaya VIII resulted in stagnation because of weak daily leadership control. The study concludes that environmental leadership has implications for environmentally oriented decision-making models in elementary schools to accelerate the Environmentally Caring and Cultured School Movement sustainably.

Abstract

Contemporary Muslims face a crisis that is not merely material or technological but strikes at the very foundations of their worldview. This study aims to examine the concept of the Islamic worldview in the thought of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, identify the forms of its clash with the Western modern worldview, and analyze the implications of that clash for the epistemological and spiritual condition of contemporary Muslims. The research employs a qualitative method based on a biographical study approach with a library research design, utilizing descriptive-analytical-critical content analysis of al-Attas's primary works, chiefly Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam (1995) and Islam and Secularism (1978). The findings reveal that al-Attas's Islamic worldview, which he terms ru'yat al-Islam li al-wujud, is composed of eight fundamental elements centered on God (Allah) and characterized by theocentrism, a vertical-hierarchical order, an integrative nature, and an eschatological orientation. The clash between the Islamic worldview and Western modernity operates simultaneously on four levels: metaphysical, epistemological, anthropological, and axiological. This clash produces at least three major epistemological implications: confusion of knowledge, the dichotomy between religious and secular sciences as a colonial legacy, and an intellectual identity crisis resulting in the rise of leaders lacking an adequate worldview. On the spiritual level, the clash triggers loss of adab as the root of all crisis, spiritual disorientation, and the desacralization of life, reducing religion to formal ritual disconnected from daily living. As a solution, al-Attas proposes the Islamization of knowledge, which operates at the worldview level rather than merely the methodological one. The study concludes that the crisis of the Muslim community stems from the erosion of the Islamic worldview as the foundation of thought, and its restoration is a prerequisite for any sustained civilizational renewal in Islam.

Abstract

Penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI), khususnya ChatGPT, semakin banyak dimanfaatkan siswa dalam berbagai aktivitas akademik. Kemudahan dalam memperoleh informasi, memahami materi, serta menyelesaikan tugas secara cepat menjadikan ChatGPT sebagai salah satu alat bantu pembelajaran yang praktis dan efisien. Namun penggunaan AI secara berlebihan dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa karena dapat mengurangi keterlibatan mereka dalam proses analisis, evaluasi, dan refleksi terhadap informasi yang telah diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan ChatGPT serta menerapkannya terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa STAI Madinatun Najah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas lima mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam dan dua dosen sebagai informan pendukung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik melalui tahap reduksi data, pengodean, pengelompokan kategori, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT membantu siswa dalam mencari referensi, memahami materi perkuliahan, menyusun tugas, serta meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi belajar. Mahasiswa semester akhir cenderung memanfaatkan ChatGPT untuk kebutuhan akademik yang lebih kompleks, sedangkan mahasiswa semester awal lebih banyak menggunakannya untuk mendapatkan jawaban secara cepat dan praktis. Meskipun demikian, sebagian siswa masih cenderung menggunakan jawaban yang dihasilkan AI secara langsung tanpa melakukan verifikasi ulang terhadap kebenaran informasi yang diperoleh. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada menurunnya kemampuan, minat analisis membaca, kemandirian belajar, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran perlu dilakukan secara bijaksana dengan didukung literasi digital, kemampuan analisis, verifikasi informasi, serta pembelajaran mandiri agar keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal di tengah kemajuan teknologi AI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang peran keluarga dalam pendidikan anak perspektif hadis tarbawi. Keluarga merupakan lingkungan pendidikan pertama dan utama bagi anak yang memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan akidah, ibadah, dan akhlak anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep peran keluarga dalam pendidikan anak berdasarkan hadis-hadis tarbawi serta relevansinya terhadap pendidikan anak di era modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data diperoleh dari kitab hadis, buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan literatur yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan Islam dan hadis tarbawi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) dengan menelaah hadis-hadis Nabi Muhammad saw. yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan anak dalam keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga memiliki peran penting dalam menanamkan pendidikan akidah, membiasakan ibadah, dan membentuk akhlak anak melalui keteladanan, kasih sayang, pembiasaan, dan pengawasan. Hadis-hadis tarbawi memberikan pedoman yang komprehensif tentang pentingnya tanggung jawab orang tua dalam mendidik anak agar menjadi pribadi yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia. Di era modern, konsep pendidikan keluarga dalam hadis tarbawi tetap relevan sebagai solusi dalam menghadapi tantangan perkembangan teknologi dan krisis moral anak. Dengan demikian, keluarga menjadi faktor utama dalam keberhasilan pendidikan anak menurut perspektif Islam.

Abstract

Conflicts in educational organizations are an inevitable phenomenon. These conflicts can have a positive or negative impact depending on how the conflict is managed. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of conflict management methods in improving the climate of educational organizations. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research approach by examining various relevant scientific literature sources. The results of the study show that effective conflict management methods including collaboration, principle negotiation, mediation, open dialogue, role clarification, and communication training are proven to be able to improve the climate of educational organizations.
