The Akhlaqul Karimah Journal (JAK) is a journal that publishes articles or research results and critical analysis studies related to Islamic Education Sciences which include Aqidah and Akhlak, Fiqh, Islamic Cultural History, and Quran and Hadith Sciences. Journal of Akhlaqul Karimah (JAK) is published by Samodra Ilmu (Institute for Research, Publishing, and Scientific Journals) Yogyakarta. Published twice a year (March and September). The mission of the Akhlaqul Karimah Journal (JAK) is to disseminate and discuss the results of research and scientific papers on the Science of Aqidah and Akhlak, Fiqh, History of Islamic Culture, and the Science of the Quran and Hadith. Abstract

Enhancing Cognitive Abilities through Problem-Solving-Based Learning: A Literature Review Education plays a crucial role in the intellectual development of students, and problem-solving-based learning methods have emerged as a promising approach. This is research is qualitative research approach with   literature review. Literature review is investigates the positive impact of problem-solving-based methods in enhancing students' cognitive abilities across various educational levels. Data analysis technique are reduction data, display data, verification and analysis. The study provides a comprehensive examination of empirical evidence highlighting the key benefits of problem-solving methods, including the development of critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. Through careful analysis, it is found that this approach has been proven to be effective in improving students' cognitive abilities. The review also encompasses several case studies illustrating successful implementations of problem-solving methods within formal educational contexts. In conclusion, this literature review offers strong evidence of the advantages of integrating problem-solving methods in education. The development of robust cognitive abilities is a vital key to assist students in meeting the demands of the future. Therefore, the findings in this review serve as a foundation supporting the development of curriculum that focuses on strengthening students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Education is currently experiencing a decline due to the frequent imbalance between general education and religious education, especially Islam, resulting in the emergence of an educational dichotomy. This research was created with the aim of studying and understanding the dichotomy problems that occur in Indonesia. The type of research used is qualitative using the literature review method. The data sources used are secondary data sources which refer to books and articles. The data analysis technique is by examining all the data collected, then abstracting the data and the next stage is checking the validity of the data and interpreting the data. The results of the research explain that the educational dichotomy is a problem that is considered quite complicated because the educational dichotomy that is currently occurring in Indonesia has spread to various educational sectors. The historical roots of this dichotomy begin with the entry of Dutch colonialists into Indonesia and changing the existing education system. Based on these problems, a solution is needed to overcome the educational dichotomy. Integral and integrated principles are the right solution to overcome these problems, which can provide harmony between religious knowledge and general science.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a competency-based human resource development system for teachers at Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in the Riau Islands. It employs Research and Development (R&D) with a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach, adapting the Martin Tessmer model, which includes stages such as preliminary study, product design and expert validation, and product trials. The research uses qualitative data, collected through questionnaires assessing the validity and development of competencies for Islamic boarding school teachers. The study finds that Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in the Riau Islands currently lack a systematic and sustainable competency development system for their teachers. The validity of the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School Teacher Competency Development product was assessed by education, language, and Islamic education experts. The material experts rated the product with an average score of 96%, indicating it is very valid. Language experts gave it a score of 72%, which is considered valid. Media experts rated it with an average score of 92%, also classified as valid. The results of the test showed good results through three stages of trials, namely one-to-one, small group, and field test, each of which obtained a percentage value of 82%, 87% and 90% in the very good category. This proves that the product produced is suitable for use by pesantren.

Abstract

Strategy is a way to obtain success in achieving certain goals. Apart from strategies, a method is also needed to facilitate an action. True or false is a collaborative activity with the characteristics of choosing a statement question between true or false, which can invite students to be involved with the learning material immediately. The true or false method needs to be used in Islamic jurisprudence learning to train students to learn or read so that they can master the material. Each student will express their opinion whether it is true or false regarding the statements they get so that students will easily require themselves to read and understand the material. jurisprudence learning. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data analysis carried out through triangulation, namely data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on observations made by researchers of MA Bahrul 'Ulum Tambakberas Jombang, researchers analyzed the need to improve student learning outcomes through a method or method so that students are not too passive in learning and are enthusiastic about improving literacy. The supporting factors are that students can more easily accept the material being taught, students can easily remember the material. This is because students are encouraged to think broadly and be responsible for their choices. By expressing his thoughts and opinions. So that the learning process can be effective and can learn optimally. Meanwhile, the obstacle factor lies in the students themselves in the sense that whether the students want to or not try to learn independently. However, teachers must also provide encouragement and support or ways to improve students so that they do not get bored and can understand the material so that they can improve student learning outcomes. The previous class conditions when students were studying fiqh looked passive and unenthusiastic, so this greatly affected student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Society 5.0 era where society and more specifically students are required to use technology, world developments are very fast so that advanced technology such as IoT, artificial intelligence, big data can contribute to Islamic education and at the same time help implement the concept of Islamic education. The method used is a qualitative approach in the form of living hadith and library research. This research investigates how the educational values ??in the Tarbawi hadith can be applied and adapted to the context of an increasingly digitally connected era. As a result, the educational values ??in the Tarbawi hadith remain relevant and can be applied in the context of the digital era by making several adaptations. Values ??such as adab, ethics, knowledge, and balance between worldly life and the afterlife need to continue to be applied, taking into account the conditions and challenges faced in a world that is increasingly digitally connected. The use of technology must not only refer to efficiency and convenience, but also to how Islamic values ??can be maintained and practiced in every aspect of life in the era of society 5.0.

Abstract

This study discusses the methods and ethics of seeking knowledge in Islam based on the perspective of hadith. Seeking knowledge holds a crucial position in Islamic teachings, where the Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of knowledge and the manners associated with it. The hadiths related to seeking knowledge provide guidance on the proper way to acquire knowledge, including the ethics that must be observed by a student. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods of hadiths related to the pursuit of knowledge. Primary data sources are derived from authentic hadith collections such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, as well as interpretations from scholars, then the data that has been collected is analyzed by thematic analysis method. The results show that the method of seeking knowledge in Islam should be based on sincere intentions, humility, and patience. Additionally, students must respect their teachers, maintain proper ethics during the learning process, and practice the knowledge they gain. This study also highlights that the ethics taught by Prophet Muhammad in seeking knowledge are relevant in the context of modern education. In conclusion, the hadiths provide comprehensive guidance for building character and manners in the pursuit of knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the establishment process and factors driving the rise of the Abbasid Dynasty, as well as its impact on Islamic civilization. The Abbasid Dynasty, which was founded in 750 M after overthrowing the Umayyad Dynasty, became one of the largest caliphates in Islamic history. This research employs a qualitative method with a historical approach. The analysis is conducted using both primary and secondary sources to provide an in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Primary sources include original documents, records, and firsthand accounts related to the topic, while secondary sources consist of scholarly articles, books, and previous research that provide contextual and analytical insights. The combination of these sources ensures a comprehensive exploration of the historical and cultural dimensions relevant to the research. The focus of this study is on the political, social, and economic factors that contributed to the formation of the Abbasid Dynasty, including the role of non-Arab groups and rebellions supported by the mawali. The findings indicate that the Abbasid Dynasty succeeded in creating major changes in the Islamic governance structure and expanded Islamic influence in various fields, including science, culture, and trade. The significant impact on Islamic civilization is evident from the scientific and cultural advancements during the Abbasid reign, known as the "Golden Age of Islam." Additionally, this study reveals that improved political and economic stability under the Abbasids compared to the Umayyads further promoted the advancement of Islamic civilization as a whole.

Abstract

This research addresses the crucial theme of the role of Islam and the concept of cosmopolitanism in maintaining unity and stability of power during the Abbasid Dynasty. With a clear objective, this study aims to define cosmopolitanism within the context of that period, analyze its impact on cultural diversity and social relations, and explore the synergy between Islamic teachings and cosmopolitanism in facing various social challenges. The methodology employed is library research, where the researcher conducts an in-depth analysis of literature from primary and secondary sources related to the history, culture, and politics of the Abbasid Dynasty. This approach enables the researcher to gather comprehensive data relevant for understanding the social dynamics of that time.The results indicate that cosmopolitanism in the Abbasid Dynasty is characterized by an openness to cultural diversity, enriching social interactions within society. This concept successfully created an atmosphere of tolerance that supports cohesion among various ethnic and religious groups. The synergy between Islamic teachings, which emphasize justice, and cosmopolitan values has proven effective in alleviating social tensions and strengthening the legitimacy of Abbasid power.The study also analyzes the role of Islam and cosmopolitanism in the stability and unity of the Abbasid Dynasty. Data is categorized based on relevance to compare different perspectives and identify key themes. A sociological approach is used to examine the social, cultural, and economic influences on the development of Abbasid governance. The findings are expected to enrich historical studies as well as understanding of multiculturalism and social integration.Finally, this research concludes that the collaboration between religion and cosmopolitanism significantly contributes to the creation of a stable and united society. These findings are relevant not only in the historical context of the Abbasid Dynasty but also offer a useful model for modern societies facing contemporary challenges related to diversity. Thus, this research provides valuable insights into how values of tolerance and openness can serve as a foundation for unity in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the Qur'anic perspective of parenting and its relevance to the current context. Parenting in this case, namely, what obligations must be carried out by parents to their children. This research is Qualitative research with Descriptive Analysis method. The data source is the Qur'an, of course also referring to other sources. The data analysis technique uses Fazlur Rahman's Doable Movement Theory, which includes First Movement and Doable Movement. From this research, it is found that there are several obligations that parents must do to their children. The conclusions of this study are: (1) The Qur'an, implicitly or explicitly, has provided solutions on how to educate children with Quranic Parenting. (2) Among the obligations of parents towards children in accordance with the Qur'an are: Praying for Children, calling with affectionate names, Providing Mauidzah Hasanah, Providing Uswatun Hasanah, and Providing Good Food. (3) The relevance of Quranic Parenting in the current context is: First, parents before marriage and after marriage should not stop praying for righteous children. Second, parents familiarize themselves with calling their children with soothing calls. Third, parents should not get tired of always giving advice to their children, especially advice on faith and Islam. Fourth, parents must also always give examples and examples to children in terms of goodness. Fifth, parents must provide halal and good clothing, shelter, and food to their children as much as possible.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is the importance of learning motivation for students. One way to increase learning motivation is to involve audio-visual media in learning. It is expected that the use of audio-visual media in the learning process can create a pleasant atmosphere, especially during datum learning. This study attempts to compare students' learning motivation in classes that use audio-visual media and without using audio-visual media. The study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta, in class VII C as an experimental class (which uses audio-visual media) and class VII D as a control class (which does not use audio-visual). The data analysis method used is the Mann-Whitney test with the help of the SPSS Version 25 application. The results of this study indicate that the level of learning motivation between the experimental class that uses audio-visual media in learning dates is included in the moderate category with 16 students with a percentage of 61.54% and the control class that does not use audio-visual media in learning dates is included in the moderate category with 15 students with a percentage of 57.69%. Then based on the hypothesis test using the Mann-Whitney test shows the asypmp value. sig. (2-tailed) of 0.469 > 0.05. So in this study it is stated that there is no significant difference in learning motivation between the experimental class and the control class in Tarikh learning.
