Abstract

The research background of the fact that learning in elementary school is often dominated by the teacher as a source of information based on observation the researchers found low student learning outcomes. Here researchers used components of Quantum Teaching lesson plan. The purpose of this research to improve learning outcomes by using a Civics lesson plan components Quantum Teaching in Elementary School fifth grade 58 Batu Hampar Lubuk Basung - Agam. The study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study used qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study is the PTK (Classroom Action Research), which consists of the second cycle of 4 meetings with the four components of planning, action, observation and reflection. The data source is the implementation process of learning the lesson plan components Quantum Teaching in Elementary School fifth grade 58 Batu Hampar Lubuk Basung - Agam. Subjects were students of class V were a total of 11 people. The results showed the first cycle I and II that the meeting of the RPP assessment scores obtained 71 and 78, from the aspect of teacher earned a score of 63.5 and 71, from the aspect of students earned scores of 50 and 67, students' cognitive nilsi obtained were 67 and 74 , affective values 56 and 75, while the value psikomotornya was 59 and 63. While on the second cycle of assessment RPP scores obtained 93 and 96, from the aspect of teacher earned a score of 83 and 92, from the aspect of the students obtained a score of 79 and 87, students' cognitive nilsi obtained were 81 and 86, the affective value of 89 and 95, while psikomotornya values were 76 and 86, it appears that student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle II. Thus it was revealed that the use of learning design components Quantum Teaching Civics can improve learning outcomes in fifth grade elementary school students 58 Batu Hampar Lubuk Basung – Agam. Abstract

AbstractThis research is to find out the correlation which positive and significant between study habits with learning outcomes in mathematics of fourth grade students in model school No. 02, Bukittinggi. This research used quantitative approach with correlation research design. The research population consist of 102 students with 81 students as the research sample. The sampling technique used is a propotional random sampling. Collection methods are a study habits questionnaire and learning outcomes in mathematics documentation. Analysis prerequisite test used normality and linearity. Hypotheses testing used Pearson Product Moment with sig.5%. The result showed that the study habits and learning outcomes in mathematics are categorized as moderate. The hypotheses test results also showed the  r-value bigger than the r-table value, with  0,820 > 0,218. Thus, it is concluded  that there is a positive and significant correlation between study habits with learning outcomes in mathematics. Keywords:study habits, learning outcomes in mathematics, the fourth grade students in elementary school

Abstract

This research is aimed to find the effect of  application of Bruner theory on mathematical communication ability of students on the volume of cubes and blocks in class V SDN Cluster II District Lubuk Kilangan. Quantitative research with Quasi-Experimental method that uses a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique type of probability sampling cluster sampling type. The research sample that learners VB class at SDN 09 Bandar Buat as control class and a class VB at SDN 01 Bandar Buat as experiment class. The instrument used was multiple choice objective test with the reasons. Data were analyzed using t-test after normality and homogeneity test. The results showed that there are significant application of the theory of Bruner on mathematical communication skills on the volume of cubes and blocks of primary school. As evidenced obtained tcount (3.839) > ttable (2.002). So, there are significant differences in the results of mathematical communication in classes that implement the theory of Bruner with a class that implements the conventional teaching

Abstract

This study aims to get a real picture of the implementation of the cooperative model Think Pair Share (TPS) by the teacher in integrated thematic learning for fourth grade students of elemtary school. The TPS learning steps used by the teacher in integrated thematic learning, as well as the efforts made by the teacher to overcome the obstacles that arise in the TPS model for the implementation of integrated thematic learning. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were fourth grade teachers and fourth grade students of elemtary school. The analysis technique used in this research is a descriptive analysis model consisting of data collection, data organizing, data management, data verification and interpretation, and conclusions. Then the data validity technique used is the method and source triangulation technique. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that the cooperative model of the Think Pair Share type is very effective in the integrated thematic learning process seen from the use of learning steps consisting of Thinking, Pairing and Sharing where this model uses groups. learning in pairs which provides opportunities to think and provides opportunities for students to exchange opinions.
