Abstract

This study is aimed to improve learning outcomes of Social science by using the model of Examples Non Examples in the fifth grade of elementary school. Types of this research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were 28 students from the fifth grade of elementary school consist of 17 boys and 11 girls. The implementation is done in two cycles with the research procedure consist of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result showed an increase a) lesson plant the cycles of the cycles I was 82,14% and the cycles II was 92,85%, b) the implementation of the aspect of the teacher in the cycles I was 82,5% and the cycles II was 95%, while the implementation of the aspect of the student in the cyvles I was 80% and the cycles II 95%, c) students learning outcomes cycles I was 73,2 and cycles II was 86,3. The conclusion of the study using Example Non Example can improve the study outcomes of social science in the fifth grade of elementary school in SDN 07 Nan Sabaris. Keywords: Study Outcomes; Learning Social Science; Examples Non Examples

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the planning, implementation and improvement learning outcomes of students using a Example Non Example model in integrated thematic learning in grade V Elementary School. In this study applying the type of PTK research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. Where this research was conducted on class V SDN 11 Campago Guguk Bulek Kota Bukittinggi totaling 26 people consisting of 9 male students and 17 female students. The results of the study in the first cycle of learning outcomes reached a percentage of completeness of 65,5%  (need guidance category) with an average value of 75 (enough category) increased in the second cycle percentage of completeness 92% (very good category) with an average achievement of 90 (very good category).

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension ability by using the PORPE strategy on the 4th grade students of Elementary School No.34 Simpang Haru, Padang. Research subjects were teachers and 32 students in the 4th grade of Elementary School No. 34 Simpang Haru, Padang. This study is a classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the students’ ability in reading comprehension increased from 82,4 (Good) with 78,1% level of mastery in cycle I, to 90 (Very Good) with 95% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 7,6 %. Based on these results, it is concluded that the PORPE strategy can improve the ability of reading comprehension of the 4th grade students of Elementary School. Keywords: Reading comprehension ability; PORPE strategy

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to result study of students in learning PKN in Class V SDN 04 Garegeh Bukittinggi City. This research is a type of experimental research in the form of Quasy Experimental Design. Sample of the research is class VA and VB. The coubting result of research of data that used is t test founded tcount > ttable, t test 2,342 > 1,671 at α level of 0,05. So that, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in using of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to result study of students in learning PKN in Class V SDN 04 Garegeh Bukittinggi City. Key words: of Contextual Teaching and Learning, Result study, PKn

Abstract

This study aims to describing the improvement of thematic learning process by using scientific approach in Grade 2 Elementary School of 12 Bukik Cangang at Bukittinggi cityi. This research used qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was classroom action research and had two cycles. The research subject was a teacher and 26 students of Grade II Elementary School of 12 Bukik Cangang Kota Bukittinggi.  The  study’s results shows the increasing in: Lesson plan of the first cycle is meeting 1 is 75%  (enaugh), meeting 2 is 81,25% (good),  and  the second  cycle meeting 1 is 97,22% (very  good). Teacher’s activities in first cycle meeting 1 is 65,63%  (enaugh), meeting 2 is 84,37% (good), the second cycle meeting 1 is 96,87% (very good). Student’s activities in first cycle meeting 1 is 56,25%  (less), meeting 2 is 81,25%  (good),  the  second  cycle meeting 1 is 93,75% (very good).the average of classin first cycle is 70,67, meeting 2 is 80,38, and the second cycle is 90,24. Therefore, the scientifict method can increase the integrated thematic learning at elementary school. Keywords : Integrated Thematic, Scientific Approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using android-based CS3 learning media on students' geometric thinking abilities. This research is a pre-experimental research, using One Group Pretest and Posttest. The population was all students of class IV SDN 01 BentengPasarAtas, Bukittinggi. The sampling technique is the Totally sampling technique. The sample consisted of 24 Digital class students who were learning to use Android. Data collection techniques are test instruments. The instrument used was an objective test with HOTS-based questions on extensive learning material and the circumference of flat structures that had been validated by experts. Data were analyzed using t-test. Obtained results t count = 15.473 and t table = 2.064. So that t arithmetic> T table H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this study is the use of CS3 learning media based on android on broad material and the circumference of flat shape can affect student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation, and improvement of learning outcomes in the operation of time unit with the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning approach of students at grade V in SD Negeri 05 Air Tawar Barat Kota Padang. This research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Subjects of this research were teachers and 34 students. The results showed: a) lesson plan in cycle 1, was 82. 14%, increased to 92,85% in cycle 2. b) teacher activity in cycle 1 was 80,35% increased to 92,85% in cycle 2. c) student activity in cycle 1 was 71,42%  and it increased to 89,28%  in cycle 2. d) student learning outcomes  in cycle 1 was  77.70  increased to 88,08 in cycle 2. It could be concluded that Contextual Teaching And Learning can improve student learning outcomes on operation of time unit at grade 5 of elementary school student. Keywords: time unit, CTL, learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of integrated thematic learning processes with a scientific approach in class IV SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City. This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The techniques used are observation, tests, and non-test. The results of the observation of RPP in cycle 1 obtained an average of 83.31%, and cycle 2 gained an average of 97.22%. Aspects of students in the first cycle with a percentage of 81.35% increased in the second cycle to 96.42%. This proves the scientific approach can improve student learning processes.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the anxiety of students facing examinations and their implications in guidance and counseling services (BK). This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this study is the students of Pertiwi 1 Padang High School class X and XI in the academic year 2018-2019. The research sample amounted to 213 people. The research was carried out by administering questionnaire instruments. Data were analyzed by percentage analysis. The findings of this study indicate the results of anxiety students facing examinations at Pertiwi 1 Padang High School are in the quite anxious category, the results are in more detail (1) anxiety students face tests on cognitive aspects in the category of quite anxious, (2) anxiety students face tests on affective aspects in the category of quite anxious, (3) the anxiety of students facing the test on the somatic aspect is in the category of quite anxious, (4) the anxiety of students facing the test on aspects of behavior is in the category of quite anxious.Keyword: Anxiety Facing Exams, Guidance and Counseling Services

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in Integrated thematic Learning using Discovery Learning model in class IV SDN 05 Koto Tangah Kabupaten Agam. This research used a qualitative and quantitative approach. This type of research i.e. Research Action class (PTK). The subject of research is the grade IV SDN 05 Koto Tangah Kabupaten Agam Feed as many as 20 students. Research conducted two cycles. The design of the research include, (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) and (4) observation of the reflection. The results showed an increase in: a) the RPP cycle I (C)77,77 % Cycle II (SB) 94,44% (SB) b) implementation on aspect of teacher cycle I82,81% (B), a cycle II 93,75% (SB) c) Implementation on aspect students cycle I 71,79,68 % (C) and Cycle II93,75 % (SB) d) student learning outcomes Cycle I 71,97 (B), cycle II 86,10 (A). Thus the model of Discovery Learning can improve the learning results of integrated thematic grade IV SDN 05 Koto Tangah Kabupaten Agam.
