Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the improvement of students learning outcomes in learning Social Science Subjects by using the Think Pair Share model at  grade of Elementary School. The classroom action research was conducted in the research by using both qualitative and quantitative approach. The subject of the research were 24 students of the school (11 male students and 13 female students). This research was conducted in two cycles consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The result of the research shows that there are some improvement: a) The lesson plan increased from 75% in cycle I to 92,86% in cycle II, b) the teacher teaching aspect increased from 77,08% in cycle I to 91,67% in cycle II, the students learning aspect also increased from 70,84% in cycle I to 87,50% in cycle II, c) the students learning outcomes increased from 74,97 in cycle I to 86,73 in cycle II. Thus, the use of Think Pair Share Model has improved the students learning outcomes in learning Social Science at  grade of SDN 51 Bungo Pasang, Padang.  Keywords : Learning outcomes, Learning Social science, Think Pair Share

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve learning outcomes in the circumference and area of flat shapes in grade 4 Elementary Schools. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were teachers and 32  students in grade 4 of elementary school 16 Padang Besi. The results showed an increase. In the first cycle the observation results of the implementation of learning plans from 82.1% to 92.9% in the second cycle. Implementation on the aspects of teachers and students in the first cycle was 71.9% to 93.8% in the second cycle. The average assessment of student learning outcomes in the first cycle 60.63 to 86.88 in the second cycle.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of inappropriate learning strategies in the learning of fraction story problems in the problem of comparison and scale that results in low student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of Polya Strategy on Learning Outcomes in Solving Fraction Story Problems in Comparative and Scale Problems in Class V SD of Cluster X in Koto Tangah District, Padang City. This type of research is quantitative in the form of quasy experiment design. The design used by the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The study was conducted at SDN 15 Padang Sarai, Padang City. Based on the results of the posttest obtained the average learning outcomes of solving story problems in control class students who apply conventional learning is 53.9. And the average value of learning outcomes in solving the story questions for the experimental class students by applying the Polya strategy is 72.4. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test on the real level α = 0.05 obtained t_count = 2.84 and ttable = 1.997, so that t_count> t table then Ha in this study was accepted and rejected H0. It can be concluded that Polya's strategy influences learning outcomes in solving fractional story problems in terms of comparison and scale in class V SD gugus X Kecataman Koto Tangah city of Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of IPS learning outcomes by using Problem Solving method in class IV SDN 04 2x11 EnamLingkung. The type of research is class action research, using qualitative and quantitative approach, done with two cycles that is cycle I and cycle II. Increased: at planning 69,65% to 92,57%, teacher aspects 72,09% to 87,6%, student aspect 70% to 88,6%. It can be concluded that problem solving method can improve student learning result of IPS. Keywords: Problem solving; IPS learning outcomes

Abstract

This research starts from the reality in the field that teachers have not fully developed the Student Worksheets. This research was conducted in class IV SD Plus Marhamah, Padang City. Development of Student Worksheets Based on Lectora Inspire with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach Presentation Material Data in SD IV SD Plus Marhamah Padang City refers to the model proposed by Borg & Gall. The results of the research developed, the results of the validity level of the Student Worksheets obtained an average validation of 4.74 with a very valid category. Furthermore, the results of testing the practicality of Student Worksheets are stated to be very practical. This can be seen from the results of teacher responses that have been implemented to get 91.67 results with a very practical category and the results of student responses amounting to 87.73 in a very practical category. Thus, the Lectora Inspire-based Student Worksheet with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach for the presentation of the data developed was declared very valid and very practical and feasible to use.

Abstract

This research generally aims to improve learning outcomes in social studies learning by using the Cooperative Learning model Course Review Horay type in class IV SDN 01 Benteng Pasar Atas Bukittinggi. This research is a classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. In the implementation, this research consists of two cycles, namely cycle I two meetings and cycle II one meeting. Includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 36 teachers and grade IV students. The results showed an increase in the RPP in the first cycle was 72.77% with good qualifications increased in the second cycle to 97.22% with very good qualifications. Assessment of the implementation of learning in the aspects of the first cycle of teachers was 78.36% with good qualifications increased in the second cycle to 97.22% with very good qualifications, and from the aspects of the first cycle students was 73.88% with good qualifications increasing in the second cycle to 94 , 44% with very good qualifications

Abstract

Abstrack The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of narrative writing skill by using Examples Non Examples models at grade V student of Elementary School. The type of research is PTK by using qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 38 Kuranji, Padang city with a total of 26 students consisting of 15 male students and 11 female students. The result of the narrative writing skill in the pre-writing at cycle I 63,4 (C) increases on cycle II 91,3 (SB). The writing phase in the first cycle 59 (K), increased in the second cycle 85 (B), the post-writing phase cycle I 59 (C) increases in cycle II 85 (B). Abstract

This study attempts to improve student learning process  in integrated thematic learning through used the of cooperative learning approach type think pair share (TPS) to the fourth grade students ofi SD Negeri 09 Parak Gadang Kecamatan Padang Timur. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. Conducted in two cycles, with three meetings covering four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.. This study was conducted at SD Negeri 09 Parak Gadang Kecamatan Padang Timur to 29 students. The results of speaking skill at the thinking stage of 57.8 (enought) to 57.8 ( Good). At the pair stage of  55.6  (enough) to 84,65  (Good). (3) The aspects of students of 53.3  (enaugh) to 81,4  ( Good). It can be concluded that the can improve the cooperative learning think pair share type (TPS)  integrated speaking skill in elementary schools.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the effects of using the Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) toward students’ learning outcomes in learning Social Science Subjects. The research was True  Experimental Design in form of Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The subjects of the research were all of the students at grade 5th of SD Negeri 29 Dadok Tunggul Hitam. The Sampling technique used in this research is the simple random sampling. The research sample were 29 students at grade 5th of class VA and class VB in SD Negeri 29 Dadok Tunggul Hitam. Data were analyzed by using calculation with the t-test. It was found that tcalculation < ttable as t2,00324 < t2,994 with α = 0,05. Thus, it is concluded thatt there is a significant effect of using the Problem Based Learning Model. It has improved the students’ learning outcomes in learning Social Science Subjects at grade 5th of Elementary School.
