Abstract

Indonesian Stock Exchange Composite Index (JCI) is significantly influenced by macroeconomic and commodity factors, yet prior studies show inconsistent findings regarding their impacts, especially in the post-pandemic context. This study aims to clarify the effects of Interest Rates, Inflation, Rupiah Exchange Rates, World Oil Prices, and World Gold Prices on the JCI from 2015 to 2024. Employing a quantitative approach through explanatory research, we analyzed 120 time-series samples using multiple linear regression analysis. The results reveal that World Oil Prices have a significant positive effect on the JCI (β = 0.358), while World Gold Prices also show a positive correlation (β = -0.146). In contrast, Interest Rates, Inflation, and Exchange Rates do not exhibit significant impacts on the index. The pronounced influence of oil prices highlights the sensitivity of Indonesia’s market to commodity fluctuations. Policymakers and investors are advised to focus on oil price volatility and geopolitical risks, while also diversifying their portfolios to address uncertainties related to gold prices. Future research should investigate sectoral asymmetries and incorporate high-frequency data to provide deeper insights into these dynamics.

Abstract

In the competitive ISP industry, brand awareness is crucial for customer retention and market growth. Digital marketing communication strategies offer a powerful tool to enhance brand visibility, yet their effectiveness for ISPs remains underexplored. This study examines how ISPs in Indonesia utilize digital communication channels to strengthen brand awareness, identifying key strategies and their impact. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected from 500 internet users via stratified random sampling. A validated questionnaire measured variables like social media engagement, email marketing, and brand recall. SPSS software facilitated descriptive and regression analyses. Results indicated that social media (69.04% adoption) and banners (47.37%) were the most effective channels, with content relevance and interactivity significantly boosting brand recognition (p < 0.05). Challenges included misinformation risks and low engagement in email campaigns. The study underscores the need for ISPs to prioritize interactive, platform-specific content and integrate metrics-driven campaigns. Policymakers and marketers can leverage these insights to design targeted digital strategies, fostering trust and loyalty in a dynamic market.

Abstract

Cilembu sweet potatoes, a high-value crop in Indonesia, have seen significant expansion in Tegal Regency, yet face challenges in productivity and market competitiveness. This study aims to (1) identify driving and inhibiting factors for Cilembu sweet potato development and (2) formulate a SWOT-based strategy to enhance cultivation and marketing. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining surveys of 84 farmers and FGDs with stakeholders (farmers, traders, government) in Bojong and Bumijawa Districts. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and SWOT analysis. Key drivers include favorable growing conditions, low production costs, and government support, while barriers include uneven product quality and climate risks. SWOT analysis placed the crop in Quadrant I (strengths/opportunities), recommending aggressive strategies like farmer collaboration, standardized cultivation protocols, and product diversification. The study provides actionable insights for policymakers and farmers to optimize Cilembu sweet potato agribusiness, emphasizing the need for training, technology adoption, and market linkages. Future research should assess the economic feasibility of these strategies and their scalability to other regions.

Abstract

Workload is a job demand that arises from receiving orders or requests, which directly impacts an individual's performance. Mental workload can be influenced by various factors, such as overtime, poor social relations between departments, and environmental conditions like low temperatures. This study aims to determine both the minimum and maximum mental workload and identify the contributing factors using the NASA Task Load Index (NASA TLX) and Cardiovascular Load (CVL) method. The research focuses on measuring the subjective mental workload of employees, particularly in a production environment. Using the NASA TLX method, six indicators—mental demand, physical demand, temporal demand, performance, effort, and frustration—were assessed and scored. Additionally, the CVL method was employed to measure cardiovascular load as an objective measure of mental workload. The findings suggest that certain factors, including extended working hours, interdepartmental communication issues, and environmental conditions, significantly contribute to high mental workload. This study provides insight into the key factors influencing mental workload, offering valuable recommendations for reducing workload-related stress in the workplace and enhancing employee well-being. Future research could expand on these findings by exploring specific interventions to address identified causes.

Abstract

India’s rapid economic rise, fueled by its demographic dividend and post-1991 liberalization, positions it as a future global power. However, challenges like inequality and skill gaps persist. This study examines India’s economic potential by 2030, analyzing demographic trends, sectoral shifts (IT, manufacturing, renewables), and policy impacts. A literature review synthesizes data from World Bank (2025), ESCAP (2022), and case studies (e.g., Bangalore’s tech hubs), employing qualitative analysis of GDP projections, workforce demographics, and foreign investment trends. India’s productive-age population (15–64 years) will peak by 2030, supporting GDP growth of 6–8% annually. The IT and pharmaceutical sectors dominate exports, while AI and renewables emerge as new frontiers. However, rural-urban inequality and infrastructure deficits threaten inclusive growth. Policymakers must prioritize education and rural development to harness demographic potential. For global stakeholders, India’s low-cost, high-skilled workforce offers competitive advantages in services and technology. This research underscores India’s transition from regional player to global economic leader, contingent on addressing structural disparities.

Abstract

The anomalous origin of the right pulmonary artery (AORPA) is a rare congenital heart defect with a poor prognosis if not surgically corrected. Atypical symptoms often lead to underdiagnosis and delayed treatment, necessitating timely and accurate examination. The utility of diagnostic tools, especially in resource-limited settings, remains a subject of debate. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of echocardiography and cardiac CT in detecting AORPA in children suspected of having congenital heart disease (CHD), compared to catheter angiography and/or surgery. A case report of a male term newborn presenting with respiratory distress and heart failure was presented. Initial diagnosis was made via echocardiography, which was later confirmed by computed tomography angiography (CTA). A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect with keywords such as "anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery," "ascending aorta," "children," "echocardiography," and "cardiac CT". Two relevant articles were critically appraised. The case demonstrated that transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) provided a timely diagnosis of AORPA at 11 days old, even when MDCT was delayed due to the patient's critical condition. While MDCT is superior for detailed anatomical features, TTE proved valuable as an initial diagnostic modality in a resource-limited area. Literature review showed TTE diagnostic accuracy at 88.9%, and MDCT with high sensitivity and specificity for pulmonary arterial anomalies. Despite diagnosis, the patient deteriorated and died without surgical repair. Early diagnosis and prompt surgical correction are essential for improved outcomes.

Abstract

In today’s society, ethical behavior is increasingly being practiced based on what is permitted or prohibited, rather than on intrinsic values of good and bad. This ethical decline is also observed in corporate environments, where some Christian leaders fail to reflect the character of Christ in their leadership. Such leadership shortcomings are particularly concerning as non-Christian employees often observe and assess the integrity of Christian leaders, who are expected to embody moral and spiritual values. This study aims to explore the role of Christian ethics in shaping effective and spiritually grounded leadership in corporate settings. Using a qualitative research method, the study conducts an in-depth literature analysis of sources related to Christian ethics, leadership principles, and biblical teachings. The findings highlight the importance of the leader-shepherd model, where a Christian leader serves with the heart of a shepherd—caring for employees with love, patience, and sacrifice. This model fosters a spiritually nurturing environment that enhances trust, productivity, and ethical workplace culture. The research implies that integrating Christian ethics into leadership not only strengthens the moral integrity of leaders but also serves as a powerful witness to others in the organization. The study contributes to the discourse on faith-based leadership by offering a biblically grounded perspective on ethical leadership practices in the modern corporate world.
