Abstract

Information processing is the process students use to collect information, monitor it, and develop information-related strategies using an approach that emphasizes memory and thinking patterns. The purpose of writing this article is to understand more thoroughly about information processing. The method used in this article is literature study. The result is, it can be understood that information processing is a way for people to process information, observe, and develop strategies based on that information. There are a number of teaching models of information processing theory. For students, information processing utilized in the field of stimulus control, acts as a collection of components of directive data, allowing students to realize solutions to concept development problems so that they can control stimuli.

Abstract

In general, sports cannot avoid injuries, injuries can occur due to internal and external factors. One of the most common injuries is injury to the ligament, for example the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) for which anterior cruciate ligament injury is the focus for rehabilitation programs, therefore how much benefit of physical exercise therapy to increase the range of motion.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of physical exercise therapy to increase the range of motion in patients with anterior cruciate ligament injuries at the Jogja Orthopedic sport clinic. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. Quasi-research is research with a quantitative approach in this study using the independent variable, namely physical exercise therapy and vice versa, the dependent variable, namely increasing the range of motion. The patient population in this study was 16 people. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the patient was still in phase 1 after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. The research instrument used a goniometer to measure the scope of the knee joint, namely flexion and extension. Data analysis technique with the T-test through the prerequisite analysis test for normality test with Shapiro Wilk and homogeneity test. The results of the study showed (1) the effectiveness of increasing the range of motion in flexion movements by 0.261% and extension movements by 0.739%, with a significant value of 0.095 > 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that physical exercise therapy is effective for increasing the Range of Motion in anterior cruciate ligament injuries. (2) physical therapy has the effect of accelerating the process of increasing the range of motion.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the big countries in the world consists of many islands which are separated by oceans and islands that has many tribes as well as their languages. One of the tribes in Indonesia is Bataknese. Batak are an ethnic group from North Sumatra. Most of Bataknese are living in North Sumatra. In this contrastive analysis, the writer chooses two languages, first, English as the source language and Batak Toba language as the target language. objectives of this study is restricted to investigating and describing the differences of the two languages about suffix in English and Toba Batak Language, that focus in prefix in meaning.This study was applied by descriptive qualitative design. The data was taken a news text with the titlle Ridwan Kamil is popular among female voters, Sandiaga Uno among male voters from kompas website.The findings describied that prefix meaning in english and batak language is different .Both the languages, have the different prefix with the different meaning for a word. In conclusion, that prefix in English and Batak language are different.

Abstract

This research to compares and contrasts by analyzing various speech events in English language and Batak toba language. To show that in English and Batak toba language there are formal and informal language differences in life. This study aims to compare how the expressions are found in English and Batak toba language. Qualitative method was used in this research. Comparing the nine expressions in English and Batak toba language, they have similarities in expression, namely in "pleasure" and the eight expressions have differences. In this paper, the main focus is highlighting the contrastive analysis of various speech acts events in English and Batak Toba with regard to range, frequency, structure, formality, and politeness

Abstract

This research paper presents a contrastive analysis of passive and active sentences in Indonesian and English. The research aims to uncover the similarities, differences, and patterns underlying the use of these grammatical features in both languages. This research utilizes descriptive qualitative research. This paper explores the different forms and patterns of active and passive sentences in Indonesian and English through the analysis of spoof texts. The data analysis shows that the most dominant form of active sentences in English is the past tense (63.6%), while in Indonesian, the transitive form is the most widely used (66.7%). This contrastive analysis provides valuable insights into the linguistic structures and communicative strategies used by Indonesian and English speakers,contributing to language learning and understanding cross-linguistic differences.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to identify the difficulties encountered in Mathematics 1 of Fourth Grade Midshipmen/Females of the Philippine Marine Academy of Merchant College of Engineering. The difficulties encountered in Mathematics 1 include algebraic expressions, algebraic fractions, exponents and roots, linear, equations, and systems of linear equations. In addition, this study identified the factors that influence the respondents' difficulties with the topic. Respondents consisted of 50 students enrolled in the 2013-2014 academic year. The finding of this study is that there is a significant relationship between student respondents' performance in exams and their perceptions of the factors that lead to difficulties in Mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the contrast between English and Indonesian noun suffixes in hortatory texts. It investigates the linguistic patterns and semantic nuances conveyed by these suffixes in both languages. Through comparative analysis of hortatory texts. This research method uses qualitative literature study. This study highlights how the choice of noun endings influences the persuasive impact and rhetorical strategies used in each language. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic variation in hortatory discourse, offering valuable insights for language learners and educators

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the similarities and differences between English and Toba Batak question terms. Qualitative descriptive research method. Methods of data collection including documentation. Descriptive analysis is used by researchers to examine the data. There are 5 question words in English: "What", "Where", "Who", "How", and "Why". There are seven interrogative words in the Toba Batak language: "Aha", "Ise", didia, ,"Boasa, "Boha, Piga, Beha." The findings of this study are to reveal six correlations or similarities between English and Toba Batak words. test.However, there are also differences between question words in English and Toba Batak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Validity, Practicality and Effectiveness of the Design and Development of Android-Based Learning Media Applications in Class XI Physical Education Sport and Health Subjects at SMK N 2 Padang in Academic Year 2022/2023. This research uses research & development methods (research & development). Subjek research amounted to 45 people. The research model used is the development research model (ADDIE model), with the design of the development steps as follows. (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation dan (5) Evaluate. The results of the validity test by the experts as a whole the validator test assessment of the Android-based Learning Media Application in Physical Education, Sports and Health Subjects Class XI at SMK Negeri 2 Padang was 91.75%. So that the level of validity can be interpreted as very valid to use. The results of the practicality test assessment as a whole the practicality assessment of the Application of Android-Based Learning Media in Class XI Physical Education Sports and Health at SMK Negeri 2 Padang is 91.04%, so that the level of practicality can be interpreted as very practical to use. The results of the overall effectiveness test assessment of the effectiveness of the Android-based Learning Media Application in Class XI Physical Education Sports and Health at SMK Negeri 2 Padang amounted to 87.82%, so that the level of effectiveness can be interpreted to be used very effectively. Conclusion, based on the assessment along with expert input as well as the results of field trials of the Android-Based Learning Media Application as a learning medium that has been tested for feasibility, superiority, and can be used in the learning process in Class XI Physical Education Sports and Health Subjects at SMK Negeri 2 Padang.

Abstract

This article discusses English and Indonesian Vocal Analysis. Because there are so many linguistic elements in both languages, the researcher tries to investigate the phonetic aspects of the languages. This article uses a qualitative descriptive research design which elaborates and describes the overall perspective of how the sound of each element of language changes when it is spoken and what exactly conveys different meanings. Researchers used literature review as a data collection technique. The data source comes from the Bruno Mars song entitled Count on Me. This article adopts the CA technique or Contrastive Analysis to analyze the data and found differences in Indonesian and English vowels. It can be seen from the word structure that changes and so does the phonetic transcription which results in significant differences as well.
