Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disease that is a big problem in the world. The results of a survey by the Indonesian Nephrology Association (PERNEFRI) estimated that around 12.5% of the Indonesian population had decreased kidney function. Currently, there are still many CKD patients who are not familiar with CAPD so that there is not much data regarding the description of CAPD satisfaction in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of CKD patients using CAPD therapy and the level of comfort and success in CAPD. The type of research method chosen is Cross Sectional, which is a form of descriptive study that aims to get an overview of the prevalence of a population. The population of this study were patients CKD who underwent CAPD at Hermina Hospital Bekasi from January to March 2022. Data analysis was carried out using univariate analysis. The results showed that 45 CKD patients using CAPD in Bekasi were some of the subjects, the majority of whom were male (60%), the most age ranged from 20-60 years (95.56%), the most comorbid was hypertension (35.6%), and the majority had undergone CAPD therapy for 1-3 years (48.89%). At the level of comfort in using CAPD, most of the respondents answered quite comfortable (53.3%) and 100% of the subjects would recommend the use of CAPD. In general, there was a decrease in uric acid and creatinine levels, as well as an increase in LGF within 3 months of data collection in subjects. As well as the command of Allah SWT to always be patient and try while undergoing treatment.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Cancer is one of the main killer diseases in the world. Cancer must be treated properly. The most common cancer treatment is chemotherapy. Cisplatin is one of the chemotherapy drugs used because of its wide efficacy for the treatment of various types of cancer. Side effects of cisplatin include ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, neurotoxicity and bone marrow depression. Therefore, there is a need for a solution that can reduce the side effects of cisplatin. One of the natural ingredients that can reduce the side effects of cisplatin is honey. Methods: This research is in the form of primary data, the data is taken directly by conducting an in vivo experiment. This study was divided into 4 groups, namely the untreated group, the cisplatin treatment group only, the cisplatin treatment group with 5% honey fermentation and the cisplatin treatment group with 10% honey fermentation. After that, HE staining was performed to see the histopathological picture of liver cells. Results: Fermentation of honey can reduce the size of congestion and hemorrhage from liver cells exposed to cisplatin. Conclusion: Fermented honey can protect the liver from the toxic effects of cisplatin exposure. In the view of Islam, treatment is one of the efforts in getting the gift of healing from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Islam and medicine agree on the importance of this research to support the goals of Islamic law, namely Maqashid Syari'iyah.

Abstract

COVID-19 is caused by acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) of the betacoronavirus genus. Immune dysregulation in hypertensive patients makes cases more susceptible to infection with SARS-CoV-2. In addition, in humans, ACE2 is widely expressed in many organs, including heart, kidney, liver, intestine, and pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells. However, that 83% of cells expressing ACE2 are found alveolar cells and the large lung surface area makes SARS-CoV-2 highly susceptible to inhaled viruses. Therefore, it is plausible that SARS-CoV-2 is more likely to damage the lung tissue of hypertensive patients, leading to an increase in the number of severe. The main imaging modality of choice is a chest X-ray, in patients with COVID-19, features such as ground-glass opacification, infiltrates, peribronchial thickening, focal consolidation, pleural effusion, and atelectasis can be found. Chest X-ray is less sensitive than CT scan, because about 40% of cases do not find abnormalities on chest X-ray. The type of research method used is descriptive observational. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data with secondary data as the source of data used. The population in the study used was patients diagnosed with COVID-19 at the Jakarta Hospital for the March - December 2020 period. From this study, it was found that the largest number of COVID-19 patients with hypertension had pneumonia as many as 51 patients (54.8%). In this analysis, a P value of 0.873 means P 0.05 which indicates that there is no relationship between blood pressure and the incidence of pneumonia in COVID-19            patients.

Abstract

Medical education is passed through two stages, namely the academic stage and the clinical clerkship stage. Before entering the professional stage, the university provides debriefing which aims to make students more prepared to carry out their clinical stages which will end with a test that aims to c proceed to the next stage, namely the profession stage. After completing and fulfilling the requirements, graduates get a diploma with a Doctor's degree. In previous studies, it was found that there was a significant correlation between GPA scores and UKMPPD scores. From the results of this study, it was found that there was evidence that the preparatory process for an activity affected the final score of an activity and the purpose of this study was to find out whether the results of pre-coach training affected the results of clinical clerkships. The research method uses Cross Sectional. The research sample was students of the Faculty of Medicine, YARSI University class of 2016. Data collection used a questionnaire. The results of the Pre Koas debriefing scores showed that most of the students got C grades of 19 people (22.4%), CD scores of 17 people (20%), and at least B- and B+ scores of 1 person (1.2%) and results of clinical clerkship scores Most of the students got 65 A- grades (76.5%), 17 AB students (20%) and 3 A's (3.5%). In the results of bivariate analysis, there was no relationship between pre-coach training and clinical clerkship results.

Abstract

Introduction : the use of the COVID-19 vaccine can occur AEFIs which are adverse medical events and occur after immunization, but these events are not always related to the use of the vaccine. Adverse Post-Immunization Events (AEFIs) can be in the form of vaccine reactions, coincidental events, anxiety reactions, and causal relationships that cannot be determined. Post-Immunization Follow-Up Events (KIPI) COVID-19 has a different reaction, duration, symptoms and severity for everyone and not everyone experiences Post-Immunization Adjunct Events (KIPI). This study aims to determine the relationship between clinical manifestations of Post-Immunization Adverse Events (AEFI) in COVID-19 patients with cardiovascular comorbidities.Method : This research was a descriptive observational study using a cross-sectional method. The sample in this study were 54 respondents who were COVID-19 patients at the Palmerah District Health Center who had been vaccinated 3 months after recovering from COVID-19. Data was collected by conducting direct interviews with respondents. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Chi-Square statistical test with Fisher Exact Test analysis.Result : From the results of the analysis conducted, there were 49 respondents (90.7%) who had cardiovascular comorbidities with 45 respondents (93.8%) of whom had Post-Immunization Adjunct Events (KIPI) and 4 respondents (8.2%) who did not experience Post-Immunization Adjunct Events (KIPI). The results of the Chi-Square test with the Fisher Exact Test Analysis obtained a significance value of 0.089. Therefore, the value of Sig. (2-sided) is 0.089 (0.05), which means that there is no association between cardiovascular comorbidities and Post-Immunization Adverse Events (AEFI).Conclusion : There is no significant association between cardiovascular comorbidities and Post Immunization Adverse Events (AEFI).
