Starting from the year 2022, it publishes all papers in English and Indonesian. Areas relevant to the scope of the journal include Social Sciences, Education, Media and Communication studies, Law, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Linguistics, Literature and Philosophy. Research as well as literary study articles submitted to JISHUM should be original and have never been published anywhere. All submitted articles will be blinded peer-reviewed by panel of experts in the concern field of study. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya memanfaatkan sumber-sumber belajar yang telah tersedia dan siswa tidak memiliki keterlibatan untuk menemukan dan merumuskan sendiri informasi sebagai bahan pengajaran, sehingga membuat siswa kurang aktif dan cenderung pasif. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan (treatmen) dengan sesudah diberikan perlakuan (treatmen) serta untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran Resource Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar sejarah siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 3 Dumai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi-eksperimen) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan desain pretest-postest control group design. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 3 Dumai, dimana XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah Independent Samples T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan model Resource Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 81,73 dan 70,38 untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Resource Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar sejarah siswa. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif scramble menggunakan media bulletin terhadap hasil belajar sejarah kelas XI IPS SMAN Tuah Gemilang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelas, XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol atau disebut juga sebagai kelas banding. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Data yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan hasil dari pre-test dan post-test. Hasil post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 84,05 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 75,23. Setelah semua data terkumpul diperlukan adanya analisis data. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi(1) pengujian terhadap instrumen yang terdiri dari uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, (2) pengujian prasyarat yaitu pengujian sebelum menggunakan t-test dengan uji normalitas, dan uji homogenitas dan (3) pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t. Hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan t hitung = 3,943 dan t tabel = 1,683 dengan nilai siginifikansi 0,000<0,05. Uji hipotesis penggunaan model kooperatif scramble terbukti bepengaruh dikarenakan hasil dari uji t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel. Berdasarkan kesimpulan diatas maka penulis menyarankan untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran sejarah Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Scramble, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Sejarah.]]>

<![CDATA[The 2000 United States presidential election and the mistake in announcing the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe beauty pageant contest are controversial events in the world that are thought to have occurred due to poor layout designs. This study used a qualitative approach employing a descriptive method with the researcher as the main instrument. The data in this study are in the form of sentence description obtained from the results of the layout study analyzed using the theory of it works, it organizes, and it attracts. The research subjects are the ballot layout design for the 2000 United States presidential election and the 2015 Miss Universe winner announcement card layout. The results showed that the ballot layout design for the 2000 United States presidential election and the 2015 Miss Universe winner announcement card layout design, based on the theory of it works, it organizes, and it attracts, do not meet the basic categories of a good layout.]]>

<![CDATA[The recent emergence of various new approaches to study in the social sciences has resulted in the mixing of various scientific disciplines in their theoretical and methodological implementation. Thus, it is sometimes difficult for us to distinguish between one study of scientific disciplines and another, except to understand the scientific philosophy of each. In addition, history as a scientific discipline also experiences an increase in meaning in its learning, because history is only understood as limited to past events. This paper aims to explain various definitions of history, the purpose of studying history, and the essence of history. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian pihak bank ataupun nasabah terhadap kinerja marketing dan untuk melihat apakah penilaian tersebut dapat meningkatkan kinerja marketing. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilnya, penelitian yang dilakukan pihak bank dilihat dari kinerja karyawan, kedisiplinan, tanggungjawab terhadap pekerjaannya. Hasil kinerja karyawan yang bekerja dengan baik diberikan reward dengan pemberian insentif dan apresiasi lainnya agar terus semangat kerja yang baik.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya fenomena yang muncul berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan peneliti saat melaksanakan kegiatan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) di SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang. Berdasarkan hasil prasurvey bahwasanya terdapat kurangnya motivasi belajar dari siswa, terlihat saat belajar didalam kelas siswa banyak yang tidak memperhatikan guru pada saat menyampaikan materi, ada yang keluar masuk kelas berulang kali tanpa meminta izin terlebih dahulu kepada guru yang sedang menyampaikan materi didepan kelas dan ada beberap siswa yang tidur dikelas pada saat proses belajar mengajar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah ada Pengaruh Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X Pada Mata Pelajran PPKn di SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang. Manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu manfaat teoritis yakni penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dibidang pendidikan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan penulisan karya ilmiah. Manfaat praktis bagi peneliti adalah menambah pengetahuan, wawasan dan pemahaman mengenai faktor- faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang yang berjumlah 118 orang siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 30 orang dengan teknik sampling yaitu Proportional Random Sampling kemudian pengambilan sampel secara acak. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu angket, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data dengan analisis statistik dengan rumus regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang Pengaruh lingkungan sosial terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh Lingkungan Sosial Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang yaitu sebesar 44,4% pada rentang 25,01% - 50% yang termasuk pada kategori “Cukup Baik”.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper presents an analysis of the Expanded Public Works Program (EPWP), one of the ‘Driven Controls’ Re-Branding Customer key policy initiatives intended to ease the burden of poverty or unemployment on the poor and unskilled. Historically, such programs have been used as assistance during short-term crises. Lately, many ‘Driven Controls’ Customers have adopted it for long-term structural challenges. This program study in the G-20 government is intended to protect women and youth. This paper uses a mixed methodological approach to determine the active participation of women and youth in EPWP and their opportunities to transition to the labour marketplaces. This study also solicits the views of EPWP participants (see also, active and former) and officials to obtain information that is not included in the program's official report. Analytical procedures involve document analysis, focusing on EPWP reports from phases One (1) to Three (3) of the programs. This study proposes two propositions: the need for public-private partnerships to address the challenges of unemployment in the country because independent policies for the government or marketplace are inadequate; new program design that separates job seekers from social protection beneficiaries. In its current form, the EPWP is designed as a grassroots poverty trap.]]>

<![CDATA[A book review is a type of literary criticism in which the merit, style, and content of a book are evaluated. Language curriculum design is becoming increasingly important these days. This is supported by a number of authors who have written books on language curriculum design, one of which is "Language Curriculum Design" by I.S.P. Nation and John Macalister, which serves as a primer for all students to teach them about the best practices in language curriculum design. This book consists of fourteen chapters. Among these chapters, there are two chapters that explain the language curriculum design generally, while the rest of the chapters explained specifically. Moreover, all the chapters provide some aspects that occur in language curriculum design. Every point successfully guide the readers to understand the process of designing language curriculum. It helps the teachers and lecturers to design the curriculum that suits with the students needs. The presentation of each chapter is clear yet the content is easy to understand. The summary is given in every chapter even successfully becomes a guideline for teachers and students to understand how each topic relates with the previous chapter. Overall, this book is helpful for people who want to teach their students in creative methods and transition their classroom to a more student-centered environment.]]>

<![CDATA[Citizenship education is part of formal education in Indonesia, as well as political education in the context of forming good citizens in carrying out the life of the nation and state. One of the most important points of learning citizenship education is to form good citizens and have political knowledge, especially students as the generation of hope for the nation in influencing the country's political process. This study aimed to see the effect of the Civics course on the political participation of FKIP UNRI students. The research method used in this research is a correlational quantitative research design. Data collection techniques were carried out by field studies (surveys) by distributing questionnaires through the Google form. The data analysis technique used correlation test analysis. The results of this study showed that there was an influence of civics education (PKn) courses on the political participation of FKIP UNRI students based on the results of the correlation test, namely 48.8% in the sufficient category. Its mean that there were 51.2% of other factors that might influence student political participation FKIP UNRI.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar PPKn siswa MTs Ittihadul Muslimin. dalam penelitian ini adalah: “Apakah model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas IX MTs Ittihadul Muslimin?”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat terhadap Hasil Belajar PPKn siswa MTs Ittihadul Muslimin”. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin pada bulan Agustus 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bersifat eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX MTs Ittihadul Muslimin. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan teknik “Random Sampling”. Dimana kelas yang diambil menjadi sampel adalah siswa kelas IX.2 (kelas eksperimen) yang diberi model pembelajaran curah pendapat dan kelas IX.3 (kelas kontrol) adalah siswa yang diberi metode konvensional. Kemudian data analisis dengan menggunakan uji homogenitas dan uji-t. Materi pelajaran yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat adalah materi PPKn kelas IX “Nilai-nilai pancasila sebagai dasar negara dan pandangan hidup bangsa”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran curah pendapat dan metode konvensional di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil ( > ). Dimana terdapat kenaikan rata-rata hasil belajar PPKn kelas eksperimen dari 65,37 menjadi 79,25 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar PPKn kelas kontrol dari 40,92 menjadi 54,07. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang berbunyi terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar PPKn yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat dengan Konvensional di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin “DITERIMA”.]]>
