Abstract

skills at SMPN 10 Mataram class 8-J Civics learning is the goal of this research with the type of classroom action research in two cycles. Each cycle in this research consists of 4 (four) stages, namely (1) planning stage; (2) implementation stage; (3) the observation stage; and (4) the reflection stage. The results showed that the first cycle of data, the number of indicators for the action variable, namely the Discovery Learning , was 37 descriptors that appeared as many as 29 descriptors. The percentage of the emergence of critical thinking skills which is the variable of hope is 22 people (68.7%) from 32 people. Based on the data from the first cycle, which shows that the performance indicators of the expectation variable and the action variable have not been achieved, a reflection is carried out to examine the achievement of the predetermined performance indicators. From this reflection, the input in the form of learning devices was improved so that in the second cycle the quality of the learning process also increased by 37 descriptors (100%). The increase in the quality of the action variable was also followed by an increase in the expectation variable, namely students' critical thinking to 26 students (81.2%). From the results of this study, it was stated that the application of the discovery learning in Civics learning was able to improve the critical thinking skills of 8-J grade students of SMPN 10 Mataram.

Abstract

The implementation of learning plays an important role in determining the success of student learning. Teachers also greatly contribute to the success of learning success, because the role and competence of teachers affect the success of classroom management and student learning outcomes. Teachers must carry out evaluations for their students both individually and in class. The means of measuring self-efficacy and consumption of education is through the curriculum. Because what determines the activities of the educational process is determined through the curriculum. One of the goals of the institution is that students are expected to be able to communicate both using the national language, namely Indonesian and also able to communicate using English. Researchers want to know the knowledge and language skills of students, especially in communicating using the national language, namely Indonesian, because the time to speak Indonesian at school is less than the time to communicate in English. Not only that, the use of English is also used as the language of communication at home with the family. This research was conducted to realize the improvement of the quality of education and learning. In the evaluation of Indonesian language learning using a goal-oriented model (Goal Oriented Evaluation Model). This evaluation model uses goals as criteria to determine success. The conclusion from the context aspect of the Indonesian language learning program is that learning is formed based on applicable rules and as an answer to the school's desire to be able to realize one of the school's goals, namely "to be able to communicate using Indonesian well". From the recapitulation table the percentage of Indonesian language scores is already good above 70%, but for grades 1 and 2 it is at the lowest percentage level because grade 1 and grade 2 children are not able to think abstractly. Therefore, the learning process should be done face-to-face.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to uncover, compare and record students' achievements and improvements in the application of two teaching techniques. The study conducted in two distinct MIPA tenth grade classes at SMAN 1 Tanjung Morawa. Project Based Learning model was used in MIPA 2, while Problem Based Learning model was used in MIPA 3. Both classes receive a pretest and a posttest, containing the same set of questions. Wilcoxon and N-Gain tests were used to assess the increase in student achievement in each class, and the independent sample t- test was used to compare the learning outcomes of the two models. The results showed an improvement in student achievement with positive scores in each class with a high category, meaning that the posttest value was greater than the pretest value. MIPA 2 has an N-Gain of 0.79, whereas MIPA 3 has an N-Gain of 0.72. However, the learning outcomes in the two classrooms varied significantly. Whereas the Independent Sample T-Test results show that the average posttest value for MIPA 2 class is lower than the average posttest value for MIPA 3 class, the value of Sig. (2-Tailed) is 0.001, which is less than the significant level of 0.05.

Abstract

This study discusses about implementation of an independent curriculum on student learning for all subjects (a case study of face-to-face learning at SMK INFOKOM Bogor). In the development of education in Indonesia, the quality of education is influenced by the educational curriculum applied at the level of the education unit, starting at the basic education level, elementary, junior high, high school/vocational school to higher education, university education. This is the background of researchers taking research on the implementation of the independent curriculum. Which in Indonesia the education curriculum often changes following the change of the minister of education starting from the KTSP curriculum (Education Unit Level Curriculum), 2013 curriculum, and now the independent curriculum. With the frequent changes in the curriculum used at the education unit level, this will affect the way students learn for all subjects. Hoping that students can understand the lessons learned more quickly from the teacher. However, in implementing the independent curriculum, students become less effective and the social level is increasingly limited and emphasizes individual attitudes. In Indonesia, there are many cultures and varying levels of intelligence, so that the independent curriculum cannot be applied as a whole due to many differentiating variations. To get around the differentiating variations that affect student learning outcomes obtained in face-to-face learning, teachers apply various ways of learning to students. With the hope that it will make students enthusiastic about learning and the grades obtained by students will improve
