Abstract

The planning and design of the Pencak Silat cultural center in Madiun City, with a symbolic architectural approach, are motivated by the absence of a dedicated center for Pencak Silat culture in Madiun City. The Pencak Silat Cultural Center is intended not only as an educational and tourism facility but also as an icon that strengthens the city branding of Madiun in the eyes of domestic and international tourists. To address this challenge, the design method by Charles Jencks is used to ensure an effectively directed design flow. Data collection is conducted quantitatively, including measurements of area and dimensions, and qualitatively, including studying behavioral, socio-cultural conditions, and spatial needs. The selected location for the planning and design is on Taman Praja Street, Madiun City, East Java, Indonesia. The data analysis results provide a synthesis in the form of macro and micro concepts with a symbolic architectural approach. The analysis results recommend the use of the macro concept of Pencak Silat cultural locality. The micro concept of form is linked to Pencak Silat movements, such as the 'sikap pasang' (posture) and 'sikap kuda-kuda' (horse stance). The micro concept of space uses a radial or dispersed spatial arrangement to create a sense of spaciousness and openness. The micro concept of arrangement with the 'kuda-kuda' movement results in a mass arrangement that aligns with the meaning of the 'kuda-kuda' movement.

Abstract

PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali manages 24 power generation units that play a critical role in ensuring a stable electricity supply for the island of Bali. The large number of generators necessitates an effective maintenance strategy. Predictive Maintenance, which was previously performed manually, required significant time and human resources. However, the digitalization of maintenance practices through the Internet of Things (IoT) has opened up new opportunities for enhancing machine maintenance effectiveness in the industry. This paper explores the effectiveness of an IoT-based Vibration online monitoring system in improving the accuracy of Predictive Maintenance for the Main Fuel Oil Pump of the Mitsubishi MWH-701 Gas Turbine engine. By utilizing vibration sensors integrated into the IoT system, the operational data of the pump can be monitored in real-time, enabling early detection of potential issues. This study analyzes the data generated from online vibration monitoring to enhance the accuracy of manual measurements regarding the pump's mechanical condition and to identify predictive patterns that may trigger maintenance interventions. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of this system not only improves the accuracy of damage prediction but also significantly reduces equipment downtime and unexpected maintenance costs. These results highlight the importance of digitalization in enhancing operational efficiency and machine reliability. This paper is expected to serve as a reference for the industry in adopting IoT technology technology to improve machine maintenance practices, particularly in Predictive Maintenance.

Abstract

The planning and design of the Youth Center in Nganjuk Regency as a space for youth talent development are motivated by the issue of juvenile delinquency, which arises due to a lack of environments that cater to their interests. Additionally, existing facilities in Nganjuk Regency do not fully address these needs. To achieve an appropriate design, Donna P. Duerk's design methodology is utilized to ensure a structured and efficient design process. The selected site for the project is located at Jalan Gatot Subroto 99-97, Ringin Anom, Kauman, Nganjuk District, Nganjuk Regency, Indonesia. The data analysis produced both macro and micro concepts, applied through a behavioral architecture approach. The analysis recommends the implementation of the macro concept of Youth Dynamization. The micro concept, rooted in behavioral architecture theory, focuses on personal space and territoriality, resulting in a spatial layout and mass organization that align with these principles. The design outcome features two primary structures: the Youth Center and the Community Building, supported by additional facilities such as a management office, café, parking area, and service buildings. The spatial arrangement is designed to make the youth feel that the spaces are intentionally created for their activities, while the mass organization emphasizes territoriality, allowing visitors to experience an environment that fosters social interaction based on their needs. This Youth Center's planning and design process is guided by extensive studies and analysis to ensure its optimal functionality.

Abstract

Indonesia is located in a tropical region and is crossed by the equator, therefore the Indonesian territory will be continuously illuminated by the sun during the day. This is an added value that must be utilized for equitable development in Indonesia. The need for energy throughout Indonesia is sometimes hindered by geographical conditions in the form of mountains and wilderness. Where the PLN electricity network has difficulty reaching remote areas. Meanwhile, remote areas sometimes have tourism potential that can be developed further, such as mountain peaks or hills, waterfalls in the middle of the forest and so on. Utilization of renewable energy can use solar panels, wind turbines or water turbines. This journal uses descriptive research methods that collect data from New Renewable Energy Power Plant (PLT-EBT) system equipment consisting of Solar Power Plants (PLTS), Wind Power Plants (PLTB) and Hydro Power Plants (PLTA) and calculation of electrical energy consumption at simple tourist attractions as input for mathematical simulations

Abstract

The increasing demand for ice across various sectors, such as the food, beverage, and hospitality industries, is driven by changes in modern lifestyles and extreme weather conditions, particularly during dry seasons. This study aims to explore the impact of ambient temperature on the performance of the ICB-2000P ice maker. The research was conducted in Penajam Paser Utara Regency from October 1 to 2, 2024, utilizing temperature measurement tools and electric current meters. The results indicate that lower ambient temperatures (below 30 degrees Celsius) enhance ice production efficiency, with total production reaching 213.72 kg compared to 89.05 kg at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. Additionally, electricity consumption also increased at higher temperatures, rising from 5262 VA to 5525 VA. Thus, this study underscores the importance of managing room temperature to optimize the performance of ice makers. Recommendations for improving air circulation and using insulation are expected to enhance ice production efficiency and reduce operational costs in the long term.

Abstract

Primary energy sources such as electrical, oil and gas are energy that is really needed by society and industries. The provision process of these energy sources must adhere to applicable regulations, including the Right of Way (ROW) rules. In the case of the 500 kV Transmission Network Construction from New Aur Duri to Peranap on Sumatra Island, Indonesia, there is a regulatory conflict regarding ROW between the electricity provider (PT. PLN (Persero)) and the oil & gas provider (PT. Pertamina (Persero)), where there is a ROW tangency between transmission tower span overlaps and the free radius of the oil wells. Considering the critical need for both energy sources, the energization of the 500 kV New Aur Duri – Peranap Transmission Line must be carried out with strict of attention to safety in the vicinity of PT. Pertamina’s wells. Therefore, the Faraday Cage method will be used as one of mitigation risks of potential fires due to induced electric and magnetic fields. In this paper, the author explains the risk analysis of the energization implementation for the 500 kV New Aur Duri – Peranap Transmission and Faraday Cage construction design aimed at reducing electric field induction around PT Pertamina’s wells. By implementing this safety measure, the energization of the 500 kV New Aur Duri – Peranap Transmission Line can proceed safely, even in the overlapping ROW area.

Abstract

Integrating digital literacy into education is important in the digital age, but its impact on students' mental health is not fully understood. This study examines the relationship between digital literacy and mental health among senior high school students, highlighting the benefits and challenges of digital learning environments. Using a qualitative approach, includingquestionnaires and interviews, the study assessed digital literacy levels, usage patterns, and selfreported mental health. Findings showed a complex relationship between higher digital literacy improving self-confidence and academic performance and reducing anxiety. However, excessive screen time and pressure to engage with digital devices can increase stress, fatigue, and social isolation. Students who balance digital and offline activities tend to have better mental health.This study underscores the importance of promoting healthy digital habits and offline interactions in educational settings to ensure that digital literacy contributes positively to students' overall mental health. Educational institutions are encouraged to adopt a balanced approach and provide support systems that encourage digital competence and mental health.

Abstract

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara .Tbk (PGN) is a Pertamina Gas Sub-Holding which operates in the field of natural gas transportation. In the distribution process it is necessary to regulate the pressure according to customer needs and measure the volume of use. One of the equipment used to regulate the pressure to customers is metering. Regulating Station Kiosk (MRS Kiosk),to obtain Approval for Eligibility for Operation (PLO) from the Directorate General of Oil and Gas - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, for operational and public safety it is necessary to install a lightning protection system and grounding system, calculating the need for a lightning strike protection system can use standards that already exists, namely the General Regulations for Lightning Distribution Installations (PUIPP) and SNI 03-7015-2004. Based on the data obtained, the MRS Kiosk of PT Bintang Float Glass in Subang City is on a flat plain with a low level of vulnerability to lightning strikes, namely 31 days of thunder per year, and the dimensions of the MRS Kiosk are 10.4 meters long, 6.6 meters wide and 3.65 meters high so that bycalculating with PUIPP standards and SNI 03-7015-2004 the same results are obtained, namely that it does not require a lightning protection system.

Abstract

The 110 Volt DC system is a critical component in substations that supports the operation of control and protection devices. Instability in voltage or current within this system can have severe consequences on the overall performance of the substation. Therefore, real-time monitoring of the 110 Volt DC system is crucial. This research aims to design and implement an Android-based monitoring system supported by Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system utilizes voltage and current sensors integrated with a microcontroller, transmitting data to an Android application via a data communication protocol. The data received by the application can be analyzed in real-time, providing essential information about parameter deviations fromoperational standards. Additionally, the system includes an early warning feature that enables technicians to respond to potential issues before they affect the substation’s operations. Testing has demonstrated that this system effectively improves monitoring efficiency and reduces operational risks in substations. By applying this technology, disruptions in the DC system can be detected early, allowing for rapid and accurate preventive action.

Abstract

Condensate water is a water which is resulted from the condensation process, usually thrown away regardless of its use. In this journal, a control system for the refrigeration system for the utilization of condensate water will be analyzed. This design includes the design of a cabin temperature control system and an automatic condensate water spraying control system.Arduino UNO will be used as controller and DS18B20 sensor will be used as a detector and also as a feedback. In addition, the monitoring system is designed to use laptop, LCD and smartphone screens with the ThingSpeak application. The result is the designed on-off control system be able to maintain the cabin temperature at the setpoint of 4.5oC. But there are still errors in the range of 0.12oC-0.13oC. Meanwhile, in the condensate water spraying control system, the spraying automatically turns on when the condenser exit temperature exceeds the setting temperature of 39oC, with an error in the range of 0.1oC-0.44oC. In addition, the monitoring system on ThingSpeak and LCD produces temperature graphs with values and patterns which be the same. Furthermore, the actual COP of the refrigeration system which fluctuates at value of 3.28 is greater than the actual COP without spraying which fluctuates at value of 2.95. This is shown by a graph of the actual COP with sprays which be higher at any time. The electric power of the refrigerator with spraying (104 W) is slightly lower than the system without spraying (114 W).
