Abstract

Morinda citrifolia L. is known commercially as mengkudu, grows widely throughout in Indonesia and is one of the most significant sources of traditional medicines. In fact, mengkudu contains a very important alkaloids, xeronine. This alkaloid helps in the normalization of abnormally functioning cells. This research aims is to knowing the influence of Morinda citrifolia L. fruit to the number of neutrophil cell in male mice scratch wound. There was 6 group as a treatment group, in which every group contain 4 mice. Every group had different time in neutrophil cell observation, it was 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 hour/ observation. The result showed that the number of neutrophil cell tend to decrease. And based on LSD test the number of neutrophil cell different signicantly in 48 hour of observation.

Abstract

Granules extract of clime fruit (Citrus aurantifolia L.) is a biolarvasida in eradicating Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae L. Granules extract of lime fruit (Citrus aurantifolia L.) can kill mosquito larvae because its content of limonoida, tannin, flavonoid, and volatile oil. The compound is lethal to the larvae which will enter the body of the larvae of the Aedes aegypti L. mosquito which disrupts the systems in its body. The purpose of this article is to determine the safety of lime fruit (Citrus aurantifolia L.) extract granules on non-target animals, namely tadpoles. Tadpole has the same habitat with mosquito larvae so it is done safety test of citrus fruit extract granule (Citrus aurantifolia L.). Tadpole is a larval phase in Amphibi that continues to experience morphological development in water. The initial phase of tadpoles growth is a phase of adaptation to its habitat. Individuals who can not adapt well will experience a faster death. The research method used is laboratory experimental. The analysis used is ANOVA. The independent variables in this study were the variety of granules extract concentration of citrus fruit (Citrus aurantifolia L.). Tadpole mortality became the dependent variable in this study. Tadpole mortality is characterized by tadpoles collapsing at the time of administration of granules. The results showed that the lime extract granules (Citrus aurantifolia L.) proved safe.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore ethnomatematics in the activities of cocoa farmers to create the teaching materials for students in the form of the packages of test. The type of research was qualitative research with ethnographic approaches. The data collection method used were observation and interview. The research subjects were six people. The ethnomatematics included the activity of counting, measuring, and designing. This study focused on determining the estimated number of trees based on its distance and area by using stakes (patok), determining the fertilization model based on the fertilization time and the planting age, determining the number of workers based on the land area, and estimating yields. The emerging mathematical concepts were comparison and social arithmetic.

Abstract

Physics is one of the lessons that the students do not like the most, so it results in students learning activities which then will lead to the low interest of the learning itself. The result of the observation during the learning process in the 3rd grade students of science I showed that there were only six students who actively raised their hands and asked some questions, while 65% of them followed the class regularly. The questionnaires confirmed that only 45% of them who liked physics, so it resulted in the result of their study on physics that was low, and only 45% of them who finished studying physics. Therefore, this research was conducted by applying ‘guided inquiry’ model on physics learning in the 3rd grade students of science I at the first semester of 2013/2014. The indicators used to measure the effectivity of the learning process were students learning activities, students learning goals, and students perception on the learning itself.The result in cycle 1 showed that the average of the students activities reached 65%, the students learning goals reached 65%. It was related to the number of the students who liked physics turned into 65%. Moreover, cycle 2 showed that there was the increasing number of the students learning activities that had reached 75%, the students learning goals had also reached 75%, and those who liked physics had reached 70%. Based on the result noted above, it can be drawn the conclusion that the implementation of ‘guided inquiry’ model can effectively improve the students learning activities and their learning goals as the result of the increasing number of the students who like physics.

Abstract

The virtual laboratory is an IT-based learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop a virtual laboratory design to increasing conceptual understanding of science material at the junior high school level on science material with topics of physics, chemistry, biology, and earth sciences. This virtual laboratory was developed as a form of utilizing technology in the field of education, where the development of information technology is currently very supportive of implementing practical simulations in a virtual laboratory. The research method of this research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method with 3D steps. The development steps include: identification, design, and development. Validation stage of media experts, material experts and media users to assess the feasibility of the media and test development to see the effectiveness of using media in learning as well as student responses to the effectiveness of learning by using virtual laboratory media.

Abstract

Meru Betiri National park has a region part, it’s reference zone and rehabilitation zone. Referensi zone is a conservation area that have to protect from damage by human interference to protect flora, fauna and other environmental component for importance of next generation. Rehabilitation zone was damaged without original vegetation and be a seasonal land farm. Termites is a important part of insect in material recycling of plant trhough disintegration process. The aim of the research are to knowing types of termites and to knowing the different of termites diversity in referensi zone and rehabilitation zone Meru Betiri National Park. Research methods by used direct sampling. The result of research has get 2 species founded, that’s Macrotermes gilvus Hagen (mayor), Macrotermes gilvus Hagen (minor) and Nasutitermes metangensis with totally 194 individual. Index of species diversity (H’) in the reference zone = 0, it's caused there are only one species founded and index of species diversity (H’) in rehabilitation zone = 1,036. It can be concluded that diversity of species on both has a different level diversity although same on low diversity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dari paper berjudul “Local Antimagic Vertex Coloring of a Graph” oleh Arumugam et al. mengenai pewarnaan titik dengan pelabelan sisi pada graf khusus yang bertujuan untuk menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona. Penelitian juga akan menganalisis tentang keterkaitan antara pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal dengan pewarnaan titik antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona ; Dan Menganalisis kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti menggunakan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan instrumen validasi untuk mengetahui pencapaian tingkat keterampilan berpikir tinggi. Hasilnya, ditemukan teorema baru yang membuktikan bahwa bilangan kromatik antiajaib lokal oleh Arumugam lebih besar dibandingkan bilangan kromatik total antiajaib lokal . Dalam penelitian ini juga menghasilkan kaitan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menentukan pewarnaan titik total antiajaib lokal pada graf hasil operasi korona yang diteliti.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low participation of students or students' learning activities in the process of learning science class 9A in SMP Pakusari. Proses learning usually undertaken using direct instructional model that is delivering the materials to students as a whole and interspersed with exercises, learning like this causing students to tend to only acquire cognitive knowledge, not yet meaningful learning. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) that uses the model and design of the Kemiss and Mc Taggart spirals. This study was conducted in 2 cycles implemented in the period from September to October 2019. Each cycle consisted of 4 stages, from the planning phase (planning), implementation, observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). The data collection instruments in this study are student learning activity sheets, field notes and documentation in the form of photographs during the learning process. The results show an increase in student learning activities by using the two stay two stray model, namely speaking activities, writing activities and motor activities increased from cycle I with an average of 81.67 and cycle II with 85.00 final conclusion of this study that the application of learning model cooperative type two stay two stray can increase student learning activities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji keterampilan mahasiswa secara kolaboratif menyelesaikan saat diberikan permasalahan pembelajaran dan disebut Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). Metode yang digunakan untuk mengkaji keterampilan CPS mahasiswa menggunakan evaluasi countenance stake. Analisis skema observation dan judgement menggunakan pendekatan Model Rasch. Metode pengumpulan data secara observasi untuk keterampilan CPS meliputi Cognitive Skills dan Social Skills, data lembar hasil penyelesaian masalah (LO), dan Kuesioner pengalaman belajar mahasiswa (CEQ). Hasil analisis congruence dan contigency dengan Model Rasch menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki cognitive skills yang cukup baik, namun social skills mahasiswa tidak dimiliki secara maksimal. Sehingga tingkat keberhasilan penyelesaian masalah masih kurang dari standar karena berbagai potensi ide solusi seluruh anggota tidak terakomodir secara baik. Selain itu, temuan penelitian memberikan rekomendaasi perlunya kajian lebih lanjut terkait keterempilan bernalar dan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah agar diketahui kreativitas berpikir dan cara bernalar seperti apa yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk mengambil keputusan atau solusi permasalahan.

Abstract

Stunting sufferers in Jember Regency have increased from 17,344 in2018 to 19,870 in 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential ofedamame soyghurt as an alternative complementary food for stunting sufferers. Theexperimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with differentcombinations of treatments on edamame juice, skim milk, and starter. The result wasanalyse of organoleptic include taste, color, aroma, and texture with hedonic testusing 10 panelists non-skilled. Based on the result of organoleptic, the average valueof preference ranges from taste between 3.2-3.4 (slightly like to like), aroma 3.6-3.9(slightly like to like), color 3.1-4.2 (slightly like to like) like), texture 3.5-4 (slightlylike to like). The best treatment was in the combination of edamame soyghurttreatment in the proportions of skim milk 150 (%w/v), edamame juice 730 (%v/v),and sucrose 50 (%w/v) with starter 70 (%w/v).
