Abstract

Stunting is one of the serious nutritional problems in Indonesia, with long-term impacts that are very detrimental to children's physical and cognitive development. One of the main factors causing high stunting rates is the lack of public knowledge regarding the importance of healthy eating patterns and providing proper nutrition for mothers. pregnant and toddlers. Community service programs that focus on preventing stunting can make a significant contribution in increasing public awareness regarding the importance of providing balanced nutrition for children under five and toddlers. This community service method will implement the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach to achieve the goal of stunting prevention. It is hoped that after this service activity can increase public knowledge and awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition, as well as improve eating behavior among mothers of toddlers and toddlers.

Abstract

Literacy skills, particularly reading and writing, are essential foundations for children’s cognitive, academic, and social development. Children living in orphanage often experience limited access to adequate literacy support, leading to disparities in their learning progression. This community program aims to strengthen the literacy abilities of children at the Kasih Ibu Orphanage in Central Aceh through structured mentoring activities. The methods applied include shared reading sessions, guided discussions on text content, writing practice, literacy worksheets, and educational games. Data were collected through observations, children’s worksheets, and activity documentation. The results indicate improvements in reading motivation, active engagement during reading activities, and the development of basic writing skills. Although some children continue to face challenges in reading fluency and text comprehension, the program successfully created an enjoyable learning environment and enhanced their confidence in written communication. Continuous literacy mentoring is expected to further strengthen the children’s foundational literacy skills and contribute positively to their academic growth

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the utilization of the areca palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) through the application of modern cultivation techniques and strengthening the marketing of processed products. The activity is located in Tobimeita Village, Nambo District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, and the partner is the Forest Farmers Group (KTH). The main problem faced by the community is the conventional management of the sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) crop, which is limited to sap production. The solutions offered in implementing the 2025 Internal Community Service at Halu Oleo University include socializing cultivation techniques for fast-growing arenga palms, selecting superior seedlings, and diversifying processed products, so that the community in Tobimeita Village can increase household income. The results of the activity show high community participation in socialization activities related to the management of arenga palm trees, as well as collaboration between the Tobimeita Village Office and Halu Oleo University. In addition to socialization, Arenga palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) seedlings were also distributed, and the activities were published in online media. This program is expected to promote the independence of productive businesses based on NTFPs (Non-Timber Forest Products), increase household incomes, and enhance the local community's competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a web-based inventory control system at OTW29 Nasi Padang Vegetarian to improve stock management efficiency. Previously, inventory records were managed manually, leading to frequent inaccuracies and disruptions in operational processes. The developed system integrates the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Reorder Point (ROP) methods to determine optimal order quantities and reorder levels. The implementation results show that the system is capable of providing real-time stock information, increasing recording accuracy, and supporting faster and more precise raw material ordering decisions. The system has proven effective in reducing the risk of stockouts or overstocking and enhancing the overall operational efficiency of the MSME.

Abstract

The intensification of modern agricultural productivity is often accompanied by a high dependency on synthetic pesticides, which, despite their immediate effectiveness, contribute to long-term ecological degradation, chemical residue contamination, and the accelerated development of pest resistance. One sustainable alternative approach involves the use of biological control agents, such as Beauveria bassiana, an entomopathogenic fungus capable of selectively infecting and killing various insect pest species in an environmentally friendly manner. This community service initiative was conducted in Candiwatu Village, Pacet Subdistrict, Mojokerto Regency, with the objective of transferring knowledge and technical skills regarding the formulation and field application of B. bassiana to local farmer groups. The implementation methods included initial observation of pesticide-related environmental issues in the Kromong II watershed area, stakeholder engagement, and participatory training sessions encompassing the concept of biopesticides, spore production techniques, and practical application strategies. The results indicated an increase in farmers' understanding of both the ecological and technical aspects of B. bassiana utilization, along with the formation of positive perceptions toward its efficacy and safety. By actively involving farmers in hands-on educational and demonstrative processes, this program contributed to fostering the adoption of biological control technologies at the local level and to establishing an institutional foundation for more adaptive, resilient, and sustainable agricultural systems.
