Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the professional competence of teachers at MTs Al-Ajhariyyah Cibitung, Bekasi, in developing interactive learning assessments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) using the QuizWhizzer platform. The program applied Service Learning and Participatory Action Research approaches, including needs analysis, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Teachers gained conceptual knowledge of HOTS and practical skills in designing and implementing interactive quizzes with QuizWhizzer. The results showed improved teacher competence in developing assessment instruments that support students’ critical, analytical, and creative thinking. A four-item satisfaction questionnaire indicated that 71.4% of participants strongly agreed and 28.6% agreed that the training improved their understanding of HOTS-based assessment. In addition, 66.7% strongly agreed and 33.3% agreed that the use of QuizWhizzer was effective for interactive assessment, while 52.4% strongly agreed and 47.6% agreed that the facilitator’s explanations were clear. Moreover, 52.4% strongly agreed and 47.6% agreed that the training enhanced their teaching and assessment skills. This program contributes to improving learning quality in the digital era and supports the achievement of SDG 4 on quality education.    Abstrak Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru MTs Al-Ajhariyyah Cibitung, Bekasi, dalam mengembangkan evaluasi pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) melalui pemanfaatan platform QuizWhizzer. Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Service Learning dan Participatory Action Research yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Guru dibekali pemahaman konseptual HOTS serta keterampilan teknis dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan kuis interaktif berbasis QuizWhizzer. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun instrumen evaluasi yang mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif siswa. Hasil angket kepuasan yang terdiri atas empat butir pertanyaan menunjukkan bahwa 71,4% peserta setuju dan 28,6% setuju bahwa pelatihan membantu memahami penilaian berbasis HOTS. Sebanyak 66,7% peserta menyatakan sangat setuju dan 33,3% setuju bahwa materi HOTS dan penggunaan QuizWhizzer efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran interaktif, sementara 52,4% menyatakan sangat setuju dan 47,6% setuju bahwa penjelasan narasumber sangat mudah dipahami dan 52,4% menilai pelatihan sangat setuju dan 47,6% setuju bahwa pelatihan meningkatkan kompetensi mengajar dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran. Program ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di era digital serta mendukung pencapaian SDGs poin ke-4, yaitu pendidikan berkualitas.

Abstract

Maps with high accuracy and essential information are highly valuable for supporting village development. Advances in technology that accelerate data acquisition make it possible to produce maps that meet the needs of both communities and government stakeholders. In this community service activity, a line map of Trisnomulyo Village was produced using a cartometric method supported by GIS and Geodetic GNSS technology. The output of this program is a village line map at a 1:5000 scale, depicting information such as village boundaries, hamlet boundaries, road networks, and land cover. The usability test results show that the majority of respondents understood all the information presented on the map.    Abstrak Peta yang memiliki ketelitian yang baik dan memiliki informasi penting akan sangat berguna dalam mendukung pembangunan desa. Keberlangsungan teknologi dalam mempercepat memperoleh data memungkinkan menghasilkan peta sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna baik masyarakat ataupun pemerintah. Pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan pembuatan peta garis di Desa Trisnomulyo dengan metode kartometrik yang memanfaatkan teknologi GIS dan GNSS-Geodetik. Hasil dari pengabdian adalah peta garis desa dengan skala 1:5000 yang menggambarkan informasi batas desa, batas dusun, jaringan jalan, dan tutupan lahan. Hasil uji kebergunaan menunjukkan mayoritas responden telah memahami seluruh informasi yang tergambar di dalam peta.

Abstract

The transition to a competency-based curriculum requires a paradigm shift for teachers, from mere implementers of material to innovative curriculum developers. However, teacher training is often theoretical and fails to address substantive classroom practice. This study aims to document and analyze the effectiveness of Deep Learning strategy-based training in improving the competency of high school teachers in DKI Jakarta to authentically implement the 2024 Independent Curriculum. Using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) instructional design framework, this activity involved 224 teachers in the online phase and 33 selected teachers per class in the offline phase. Data were collected through needs surveys, observations of the results of the Learning Objective Flow (ATP) development, and pre- and post-tests related to pedagogical strategies. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge outcomes from an average pretest of 68.5 to an average posttest of 83.7 with an N-gain of 0.78. The Deep Learning approach significantly improves teachers' pedagogical literacy, as evidenced by their ability to deconstruct Learning Outcomes (LO) into contextual instructional designs based on deep conceptual understanding. The transformation in mindset is evident in the shift from conventional teaching methods to reflective and inclusive learning strategies. This study concludes that training that emphasizes independent knowledge construction and collaboration is the main key in bridging the gap between macro curriculum policies and micropedagogical practices in the classroom.
